Chapter 662: Offending the Local Mob Boss
Chapter 662: Chapter 662: Offending the Local Mob Boss
Matcha Head’s expression grew serious. "Streamer, what did Blondie say?"
"Blondie said..." Renee relayed what the black cat had just said.
Matcha Head was stunned silent.
[Hahahaha, I’m dying! I never saw that coming! So after all this time, it was Blondie’s fault.]
[Just got out of surgery, and laughing so hard my stitches hurt.]
[Sis, you need to rest well after surgery! Get well soon!]
[The black cat lost face in front of his white cat girlfriend. This score must be settled!]
Once Matcha Head had processed the shocking news, he said with a serious expression, "This whole thing... Blondie was definitely out of line."
[Your employee offended the local black cat boss. What are you, the owner, going to do about it?]
[The wrath of the black cat!]
Matcha Head sighed again. "But they should be pooping on Blondie’s doorstep, not mine! Why are they taking revenge on him at my shop? Every morning, I have to pay dozens of bucks to have the sanitation workers clean up all the cat poop and trash."
To this, the black cat offered an explanation: "Meow! How was I supposed to know that barbershop is yours!"
He paused, then continued, "Meow! Where does Blondie live? Take me there!"
Renee: "The black cat wants you to take him to Blondie’s house."
Matcha Head: "Are they really going to go poop on Blondie’s doorstep?"
The black cat nodded his head.
In truth, Blondie was Matcha Head’s cousin. He couldn’t actually let these stray cats go and poop at his cousin’s place.
Matcha Head hesitated. "Uh, Sergeant Black Cat, can we maybe discuss this and find another way to solve the problem?"
A confused look appeared in the black cat’s golden eyes. "Meow? What do you mean?"
Renee explained, "If Blondie apologizes to you, would you be willing to forgive him? As in, you stop bringing the cats to leave trash and poop."
The black cat was clearly not happy about it. "Meow meow? What good is an apology? It won’t bring my girlfriend back."
’He has a point.’
Renee thought for a moment, then added, "What if he apologizes and promises to provide food for you all for a whole month? Would you forgive him then?"
This time, the black cat hesitated and didn’t immediately refuse.
After all, when it came to food, it wasn’t just about him, but the livelihood of all the cats.
Matcha Head gritted his teeth. "If one month isn’t enough, then two months."
Hearing this, a cunning gleam flashed in the black cat’s golden eyes.
He stared at Matcha Head and stated his own demand: "Meow! Three months!"
Renee raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "Matcha, Sergeant Black Cat is demanding three months."
[As expected of the black cat boss, he even knows how to negotiate!]
[Smart Sergeant Black Cat!]
Matcha Head furrowed his brow in thought. After weighing his options, he nodded and agreed. "Fine. Three months it is."
’Feeding stray cats could be considered a good deed, anyway. It’s better than paying someone to clean up every day, and who knows, this problem might have lasted longer than three months otherwise.’
Seeing him agree, the black cat spoke up again. "Meow meow meow! Make him come and apologize. If his attitude isn’t sincere, it doesn’t matter how long you provide food for!"
He wanted a sincere apology from the two-legger.
Renee’s lips curved into a smile. "Matcha, go get Blondie and have him apologize. Tell him to be sincere, or the cats won’t forgive him."
"Okay!" Matcha Head said quickly. "Then please, my esteemed cat lords, wait here for a moment. I’ll go get that clueless Blondie right now."
With that, he took his phone and hurried back to the barbershop.
Pop music was playing in the shop. There weren’t many customers, and Blondie was sitting on a stool, scrolling through videos of pretty girls dancing, liking every single one he watched.
[This guy is still watching girls do sexy dances.]
[Tsk tsk, instead of looking up hairdressing techniques to improve his skills, all he does is watch pretty girls.]
Seeing this, Matcha Head slapped him on the head, fuming, "You little punk! You’ve caused a huge mess and you’ve still got the nerve to sit here watching pretty girls?"
Blondie clutched his head and wailed, "Bro, are you trying to murder me? You hit so hard, that really hurt!"
Matcha Head smacked him again. "You little brat, you have the nerve to cry pain? Do you have any idea you’ve pissed off the local triad boss?"
As soon as he said that, everyone in the shop who had been on their phones started to inch closer, ready for the gossip.
"Number Five pissed off the mob?"
"What’s going on?"
"Number Five’s got some serious guts!"
Number Five was Blondie. He asked with a completely bewildered expression, "Bro, where did you hear that? How could I have possibly pissed off the mob?"
[The power of gossip.]
[Everyone loves to watch drama unfold.]
Matcha Head glanced at the bullet comments, then glared at him irritably. "The cat poop and trash that’s always at the shop’s entrance recently? That’s all because of you!"
"Me?" Blondie pointed at himself, even more confused. "Bro, you’ve gotta be mistaken, right?"
Matcha Head’s tone was grave. "You said the wrong thing and offended the local black cat. Now he’s called his friends and family to get revenge on you!"
"The local triad boss is named Black Cat? What a terrifying name!"
"Number Five, how did you manage to offend him?"
"Don’t tell me you tried to steal the mob boss’s girlfriend and he’s getting revenge?"
"Maybe the boss came to our shop for a haircut, Number Five did it, and it was so ugly that the boss flew into a rage."
The shop employees all started chattering at once.
[LMAO, this triad boss isn’t *that* kind of triad boss.]
[But it’s true, the black cat really is the local boss.]
[Hahahahaha this is hilarious!!! My stomach hurts from laughing...]
Blondie was trembling as he listened, his heart pounding in his chest. "Bro, don’t scare me! What’s really going on?"
"Me, scare you?" Matcha Head rolled his eyes. "With all that cat poop and trash piled up at the entrance, you have the nerve to say I’m scaring you?"
"Come to think of it, this boss has a weird way of getting revenge. Not splashing paint, but using cat poop."
"Boss, are we going to be in danger working with Blondie?"
Hearing his coworkers, Blondie started to panic even more. "No, you guys, stop scaring me! I honestly don’t know when I pissed off a mob boss!"
"A while ago when it was pouring rain, were you smoking by the entrance?" Matcha Head asked. "Chatting with the guy from the convenience store next door."
Blondie frowned, thinking back. "I think that did happen... That guy was the boss?"
Matcha Head glared at him. "Can you let me finish?"
Blondie nodded repeatedly. "Go on, bro."
"There was also a group of stray cats taking shelter from the rain at the entrance, right?"
"Right, right."
"The convenience store guy said the stray cats were cute. What did you say then?"
Blondie said suspiciously, "How am I supposed to remember that?"
"You don’t remember, but the boss remembers it crystal clear!" Matcha Head grabbed his ear and said through gritted teeth, "Didn’t you say they were all sooty and disgusting, and looked like big rats?!"
His coworkers were instantly shocked and started complaining.
"Holy crap, Number Five, do you have a death wish? How dare you talk about a mob boss like that!"
"I give up. Number Five, don’t you drag us down with you! Having to smell cat poop with you every day is one thing, but don’t get us killed!"
