The CEO's Wife Is a Medical Master

Chapter 611: Sharing Secrets (3)

Chapter 611: Chapter 611: Sharing Secrets (3)

To be honest, Vera Xavier was a little conflicted about the situation. This man was Susan Caldwell’s biological brother, after all. If he’d been incited by Susan and came to pick a fight on her behalf, it would be a bit too melodramatic for her taste. She was afraid she wouldn’t be able to stop herself from leaping up and scratching his face.

Sheldon Caldwell shrugged. "I won’t give you the chance to despise me."

Vera Xavier relaxed a little at his words. Looking at him, it was clear he hadn’t come to argue, much less to fight. It seemed more like he was here to catch up.

She looked up at him, and he said with a wide smile, "Actually, I’m here to thank you."

Meanwhile, Shirley Ewing and Fiona Wright had no idea what was going on. They were still a little baffled, thinking he seemed like a completely different person from how he’d been during military training. He was actually quite handsome when he smiled!

The two of them exchanged a glance and decided not to interrupt, just listening quietly to him and Vera Xavier talk.

Vera Xavier was also puzzled. "What are you thanking me for? For helping you discipline your sister?"

"Exactly!" Sheldon Caldwell said. He then put a finger to his lips, his gaze sweeping over to Shirley Ewing and Fiona Wright. His face hardened. "You two have to keep the fact that Susan Caldwell is my sister a secret. If this gets out, I’ll know you’re the ones who leaked it. As for the consequences... you can imagine them for yourselves."

Shirley Ewing and Fiona Wright both shivered, and a new hint of fear entered their eyes as they looked at him.

’Susan Caldwell is his own sister, and he still punished her like that. He’s absolutely the most terrifying older brother in history, bar none!’

So they both said in unison, "We definitely won’t tell."

"Good. There’s nothing for you two here. Go on back and rest," Sheldon Caldwell said, dismissing them outright.

Shirley Ewing and Fiona Wright had already finished their meal. The moment they heard him, they didn’t dare stick around to eavesdrop on the gossip between Vera Xavier and Sheldon Caldwell. The two of them bolted.

Vera Xavier shot him a sidelong glance. "Scare me if you want. Why scare my roommates?"

Sheldon Caldwell sighed. "As if I’d dare to scare you. I can only take it out on your roommates to vent a little."

Vera Xavier was speechless. Sheldon Caldwell continued, "Why didn’t you tell me you got into Veridia University? I would’ve thrown a party to welcome you!"

"Are we that close?" Vera Xavier asked him.

Sheldon Caldwell grinned. "Close? Of course we’re close. We’ve fought together, been on duty together, slept toge—"

"Shut up!" Vera Xavier cut him off. "Stop talking nonsense! We are not that close!"

"Nope, I have to finish, or people will get the wrong idea," Sheldon Caldwell said with a laugh. "To continue my last sentence... we’ve both slept with Nathaniel Nathan!"

Vera Xavier: "..."

’Are there any normal people in Nathaniel Nathan’s life?’ she desperately wanted to curse. ’Why is every single one of them so shameless?’

Seeing her expression, however, only made Sheldon Caldwell happier. "I’m telling the truth! Nathaniel Nathan and I have been on missions together. We didn’t just sleep in the same bed, we’ve even held each other."

Vera Xavier ate her food in silence, not wanting to speak to him. ’His so-called "holding each other,"’ she thought, ’most likely refers to some kind of military combat drill.’

Sheldon Caldwell laughed out loud and winked at her. "I saw the scratch marks on him, by the way. I never would’ve guessed a delicate-looking girl like you could be so wild."

Vera Xavier’s expression remained neutral, but inside, she felt like a pot of boiling water, absolutely seething!
