So, he spoke up before Seth Maverick could reply, "Chairman, I’ve thought it over. Even if I spare a company for the university students’ training, I still won’t lose to Special Branch One. I accept the assignment!"
He finished with a salute.
Seth Maverick glanced between the two men and chuckled. "Very well, then it’s settled."
Sheldon Caldwell immediately shot Nathaniel Nathan a smug wink. Nathaniel’s brow twitched. Seth Maverick then smiled at Nathaniel and said, "You just focus on training the new employees. We have external drills coming up for the national holiday, and your branch will be representing our company."
Sheldon Caldwell’s heart sank upon hearing this. ’The drills haven’t even started, and my dear Chairman already thinks my branch is going to lose.’
Nathaniel Nathan was also disheartened. The moment he’d heard their company was handling the freshman military training for Veridia University this year, he’d rushed over to intercept the assignment, never expecting Seth Maverick to have already made other plans.
