Rowena Kirby and Mimi Gibbs had both studied martial arts and possessed decent combat skills. However, now that they were enraged, their fighting style was far from graceful. They were pulling at each other’s hair and clothes, clawing at each other’s faces, and in an instant, they were a tangled mess rolling on the ground.
When Nathaniel Nathan’s teammate, Dylan Dalton, came over carrying a lunchbox, he was stunned by the sight. ’Jeez, women are scary when they fight!’
The moment he shut his door, Nathaniel Nathan called the company’s human resources department. "Starting tomorrow, female employees are no longer allowed in the male employee dormitories. The residential areas need to be strictly segregated."
As he was speaking, the fight between Rowena Kirby and Mimi Gibbs had already broken out right outside. He added, "Two female employees brawling in front of a male employee’s dormitory. It’s an absolute disgrace!"
He hung up as soon as he finished speaking.
Nathaniel Nathan had always been a unique figure in the company. No one dared to disregard his words.
Although the HR department wasn’t entirely clear on what had happened, they quickly dispatched someone to investigate.
Meanwhile, the dormitory management office had already heard about a fight and rushed over. By the time they managed to pull Rowena Kirby and Mimi Gibbs apart, both of their once-fair faces were covered in bloody scratches.
Both women were seeing red by this point. Even while being restrained, they were still trying to land another scratch on each other.
As for Nathaniel Nathan, the cause of the entire incident, he didn’t show his face even once from start to finish.
Fighting was strictly forbidden in the company—that was a basic rule. Furthermore, since Rowena Kirby and Mimi Gibbs were both prominent figures, the incident was quickly reported all the way up to the chairman, Seth Maverick.
Seth Maverick clicked his tongue twice. "TSK TSK. Women these days are something else. To think they’d dare to fight right at a dormitory entrance. What’s next, are they going to try and ascend to the heavens?"
His assistant glanced at him before saying, "I heard this fight was over Deputy General Manager Nathan."
"Two women fighting over one man?" Seth Maverick laughed. "Well, if it started because of Nathaniel Nathan, that makes sense. After all, the kid is handsome and incredibly capable, so it’s only natural for girls to like him. But he’s a married man now. What’s he doing messing with those young women?"
"My information is that Rowena Kirby came looking for him, and he shut the door in her face. Mimi Gibbs saw it, and then the two of them started going at it." The assistant let out a long sigh. "Girls these days are nothing like they were in our time. Every last one of them is just unbelievably bold!"
"So the ones fighting were Rowena Kirby and Mimi Gibbs!" Seth Maverick said, frowning. "Those two are usually very popular with the male employees. Why would they be so dead set on a block of ice like Nathaniel Nathan?"
"You’d be surprised. Girls these days are into the cold, aloof type like Nathaniel Nathan," the assistant said, pressing a hand to his temple. "But then again, Nathaniel is truly exceptional. So exceptional that it seems like all the women in the company have a crush on him."
Seth Maverick laughed. "Of course he’s exceptional. It proves I didn’t waste my efforts poaching him."
He grew a little smug whenever the topic came up. When Nathaniel Nathan returned from abroad, everyone who knew about it immediately launched a campaign to recruit him. In the end, Seth Maverick came out on top.
His assistant shot him a look. "You can feel smug about that, but what are we going to do about this situation?"
"You’re the executive assistant," Seth Maverick said with a smile. "Fighting within the company shows a lack of professional discipline. That falls under your purview as the assistant, so you can just handle it as you see fit."
