Brian Dixon, however, was calling out, "Vera Xavier, if you’re not happy at the Veridian College of Liberal Arts, you can come over to our Veridian College of History! We have periodic archaeological digs to broaden your horizons, and students who participate even get a stipend!"
Vera Xavier waved a hand dismissively without even turning her head, making her disdain for the offer perfectly clear.
Isaac Shawcross was quite pleased with Vera’s attitude. "Not every student is as materialistic as you."
After Vera Xavier left, the smile in her eyes deepened. Her meeting with her teacher, Isaac Shawcross, had been much more pleasant than in her previous life. She was also looking forward to what Isaac Shawcross called his "special gift."

He looked displeased when he saw her and said, "The Young Master is away on a mission. It’s best if you don’t go running all over the place by yourself."

Vera Xavier said coolly, "I wasn’t running all over the place. I just went to the university."
Ronan Tate curled his lip. After Vera Xavier opened the door, she asked, "How long have you been here? Don’t you have a key?"
"I’ve been waiting for over an hour," Ronan Tate said, looking unhappy. "I gave the key to the Young Master yesterday. I don’t have one."
Vera Xavier looked at him and said, "Oh, is that so? Did you feel like you didn’t wait long enough? Next time, just let me know before you come. I’ll make sure you get to wait a whole day."
Ronan Tate: "..."
’This girl is unbelievable! Shouldn’t she have waited at home, knowing I was coming to deliver things? She must think she can get away with anything just because the Young Master spoils her!’
As if seeing right through him, Vera Xavier said with a grin, "That’s right. I am taking advantage of the fact that your Young Master spoils me. If you have a problem with it, feel free to go complain to him!"
Ronan Tate’s expression soured at her retort. It was not a pleasant feeling to have his inner thoughts laid bare like that.
Most importantly, he knew perfectly well just how good Nathaniel Nathan was to Vera Xavier.
