Reborn with a Space: Hoarding Food and Raising My Kid

Chapter 619 - 467: Shattering and Downfall

Chapter 619: Chapter 467: Shattering and Downfall

The Tree of Life’s contract was simple. A golden essence washed through Flora Bloom’s soul, carving a complex yet vibrant, life-filled brand deep within it.

"This way, even if you die, your soul and mine will be connected for all eternity. Through every lifetime, Little Master, I will wait for you to return."

Flora Bloom struggled to curl her lips into a smile. Her body was mangled and broken, and red was the only color she could see.

She used her last ounce of strength to force the golden essence into the Eternal Life Contract. Meanwhile, she watched as her inner space, like a vast, alien world descending from another dimension, projected itself over all of Morhaven, enveloping the city.

BANG! The Tree of Life’s branches whipped about within the space, finally lashing a crack into its fabric.

"What’s going on? Why has the space here become unstable?"

The two men in black could not see any of this; only Flora Bloom could.

The two men in black looked at the dying, blood-soaked woman on the ground and couldn’t help but frown.

"She’s like this and still not completely dead?"

"Could this spatial distortion have something to do with her? How about we give her another stab, just in case?"

One of the masked men in black approached with a long saber. He looked at the woman’s face on the ground. Even covered in blood, her beauty was still breathtaking.

That resilience, radiating from within, moved even him—a man who was about to kill her on their very first meeting.

Sensing the man’s approach, Flora Bloom suddenly opened her eyes and looked at him.

The man felt as if her gaze pierced straight into his soul, and he froze in his tracks, startled.

"She’s... really still alive?"

Flora Bloom took a weak breath, but it was more of an exhale than an inhale. Without the nourishment of the spiritual water, she was on the verge of death.

"Do you keep your word?"

Flora Bloom’s voice was extremely faint, but in this space, occupied by only the three of them, the silence was oppressive.

"Before you die, we’ll allow you to speak your last words!"

Flora Bloom smirked. "See the Energy Barytes on the ground? Far more than what the Rook family gave you, isn’t it?"

The two men were taken aback. "Indeed. But you’re about to die. What’s the... point of giving these to us?"

Flora Bloom’s smile was both captivating and tragic. "I’m making a bet! I’m betting that your organization values its promises and keeps its word!"

The two men glanced at each other, still confused.

"After I die, I want you to take the payment I’ve given you and kill the person who bought my life today!"

Hidden beneath their masks, the two men looked both shocked and bewildered. One of them, who clearly held more authority, asked in a cold voice.

"What makes you think we would agree to that?"

"On the fact that one day, I will most certainly return to take revenge!" As she spoke those last two words, she coughed up another mouthful of blood mixed with bits of her internal organs. Half of it spewed out, while the other half flowed back down her throat, making it even harder for Flora Bloom to breathe.

The two men were stunned into silence for a long moment.

Flora Bloom spoke her last words, haltingly. "When I brought these out, I never planned on waiting for your agreement."

"I’m a dead woman today anyway, but since I’ve offered these things, I’ll consider them accepted. If I return and find that the one who bought my life is still alive, then you... will also be my enemies."

To the two men, her words sounded utterly ridiculous, yet they couldn’t help but feel a sudden jolt in their hearts.

’How could someone who died like this possibly come back to life?’

But just then, the sealed space, which already had a crack, was struck by a tremendous force from the outside. After just three hits, a RUMBLE echoed as space scraped against space.

The space, sealed by two War God Level masters of space-time, shattered.

Flora Bloom’s body, like a broken, discarded rag doll, fell straight down from mid-air.

The Golden Crow sensed Flora Bloom’s aura instantly and shot over to catch her falling body.

Outside Morhaven, Quentin Pryce had been severely injured and had reverted to his true form to escape. Rona Rook was half-squatting on the ground, clutching her chest and spitting up pools of blood, looking just as badly hurt. But she still had Polly Cross in her grasp.

Polly was out of tears by now but was still sobbing.

On the ground lay Selina’s corpse. She had been killed by a woman in black after charging forward in a frenzy upon learning that her child, Lyle, was already dead.

Caleb Bloom and Jade had tried to seize an opportunity to save their granddaughter, only to be severely wounded by Rona Rook and knocked unconscious. Sherman Lynch had pushed his powerful Metal-type body to its limit, but his superpowers were also completely depleted.

The people on Flora Bloom’s side had almost completely lost their ability to fight. The Nightmare Beast was now lying in a pool of its own blood. It wasn’t dead, but it was unable to move.

At that moment, three War God Level experts—two men and a woman—were gathered around Lex Cross, checking his injuries. Meanwhile, Lex Cross was using the last dregs of his War God power to hold his crumbling body together.

"Three Ancestors, save my child!"

The three War Gods—Ray Cross, Jim Cross, and Frost Cross—were all stunned. "Are you saying that child is of our Cross family bloodline? Your child?"

The expressions on Ray Cross’s and Jim Cross’s faces changed. They handed Lex Cross over to Frost Cross, and in the next instant, they appeared right beside Rona Rook.
