Chapter 297: Chapter 60: Heavy Cavalry Assault (2)
"Are we mustering? Is it an enemy attack?"
Hans opened his eyes to see everyone in the room already awake. The fastest were already donning their armor while the slower ones were out of bed. He was the last one up.
"Hurry up. At this rate, you won’t know what pain is until an enemy’s axe is buried in your skull," Captain Jack snapped when he saw Hans was finally awake. He tossed Hans his leather armor and the accompanying iron plates.
"I know, I know. Aren’t you guys tired?" Hans asked, looking at Captain Jack with confusion as he quickly donned his clothes and armor.
Hearing this, Captain Jack felt a flicker of confusion himself. It was true; he hadn’t felt truly tired in a long time.
The last time he had was during their escape from Sunset Fortress.
In truth, if they could check their system panels, they would know that Captain Jack was a Tier Six Soldier approaching Tier Seven, while Hans was a Tier Five with his experience bar halfway filled.
Tier Six Soldiers possessed ample battlefield experience. Much of this was directly etched into them by the system panel, changing the Soldiers unconsciously.
This experience naturally included how to get adequate rest even on a battlefield. Of course, this didn’t mean Tier Six Soldiers were supermen who didn’t need to eat or drink.
It was just that the demands Robson placed on them were nowhere near their limits.
"Muster! Muster!"
As the two were lost in thought, they had already unconsciously finished donning their armor. At some point, a sharp blade and a large shield had appeared in their hands.
The entire process, from getting out of bed to being fully armored, took no more than four minutes.
This scene played out across the entire camp. Many of the men had already developed a hair-trigger reaction to the sound of the camp’s horns.
By the time the herald’s voice reached them, many had already pulled on their boots.
Soon, the clamor of the camp gave way to the sound of synchronized footsteps.
Squad after squad of Soldiers emerged from their tents in combat formation. After a quick survey, they reformed into columns and marched to the center of the camp.
In less than fifteen minutes, the entire camp had completed its initial muster. Archers, spearmen, and sword-and-shield infantry from the First and Second Corps were all neatly arranged in their designated positions.
"This... this is... incredible." Earl Uman, standing beside Robson, had an expression of indescribable shock.
"I’ve only ever seen an army like this during the Algeria Kingdom’s national celebrations..." Earl Uman swallowed hard.
He was beginning to understand how Robson had been so victorious.
’Of course,’ he thought. ’With an elite force like this, what battle couldn’t be won?’
’But then again, no matter how elite the army, they’re still trained by men...’ At that thought, Earl Uman unconsciously swallowed again.
Before, he might have been resentful of Robson’s success. Now, that resentment had all but vanished.
It was proof that no one achieves success by chance.
However, it also gave Earl Uman a sense of reassurance. ’At least this new boss has overwhelming military strength.’
Robson noticed Earl Uman’s expression and was quite satisfied with his reaction.
He had indeed brought Earl Uman along partly to display his military might. After all, a boss had to give his new subordinates some form of reassurance.
Just then, the earth-shaking thunder of iron hooves echoed from the distance. Squadrons of Heavy Cavalry galloped from the west side of the camp toward its center.
The entire cavalry force faced southeast. This was none other than Robson’s Heavy Cavalry Corps. Between those gifted by Prince Noah, those Robson had gathered or requisitioned himself, and a few more acquired from the Fengman Clan, their numbers were approaching three hundred.
"Go," Robson said, looking at Huang Na on his shoulder.
Upon receiving the command, Huang Na flew into the sky. The three feathers on her tail instantly burned to ash. As she soared upward, her body grew larger and larger until she revealed her true form.
While she didn’t block out the sky, her form against the silent night was breathtakingly terrifying.
ROAR!
Having reached her adolescent form, Huang Na stretched her body for the first time, letting out a high-pitched cry of satisfaction. Then, she soared high into the sky before diving vertically toward a point to the southeast.
"For our Lord! For the Frank Kingdom!" Claude roared from his position before all the Cavalry. He then spurred his warhorse, leading the thunderous charge.
"For our Lord! For the Kingdom!" the troopers echoed, thundering after Claude.
RUMBLE...
On Wayne Mountain, hundreds of Heavy Cavalry, arranged in tight formation, charged straight down the slope, led by a fiery red phoenix.
In an instant, the sound was like a sudden clap of thunder on a clear day, shaking heaven and earth.

"You worthless piece of shit! You fucking let him get away?!"
Gustav glared at the Gnoll before him and, with a sweep of his arm, sent the creature flying several meters.
"My lord, calm your anger! My lord, please..."
Seeing their Chieftain sent flying, not one of the surrounding Gnolls dared to step forward and intervene.
Gustav was over three meters tall. When he unleashed his Silver Sixth Tier aura, it was an utterly overwhelming force to them.
"Gustav, this is no time for emotional outbursts. We need to leave now."
Just as Gustav was about to teach the Gnoll another lesson, a wiry Beastman behind him spoke up, stopping him.
At the sound of this voice, a look of impatience flashed across Gustav’s face.
