Journey To Become an Insanely Pampered Wife

Chapter 332: Finding a Solution (I)

Chapter 332: Finding a Solution (I)

Xiang Ling stood before the three spirit beasts who were in their human forms, one of them being none other than Xuelin.

She kept her gaze sharp, and her presence commanded respect as she scrutinized the two men in front of her. They stood tall, their expressions calm, but she could hear just how wildly their hearts were beating.

Though she felt bad for the poor men, she didn’t allow them to relax... yet.

"Master-"

Before Xuelin could utter another word, Xiang Ling raised a hand, silencing her.

Xiang Ling took her time, studying Wei Min and Lu Ying closely. Both were from the White Lion family, and they recently went through their Heavenly Tribulation, allowing them to take human form.

That alone was enough to make them one of the most powerful spirit beasts to exist in the Five Realms. Yet, she made them wait, letting the tension build. She could sense their nerves, but they refused to show weakness.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she shifted her gaze to Xuelin. Though her attention was no longer on the men, she noticed how they both subtly relaxed.

"These two are the men you have chosen as your mates?" She kept her tone calm as her question was purely rhetorical. She already knew the answer.

Xuelin nodded eagerly. "Yes, Master. They are both from the White Lion clan. With their strength and our combined bloodlines, we will be able to preserve my lineage. I have chosen well, haven’t I?" Her eyes sparkled with anticipation, waiting for approval.

Xiang Ling let out a small sigh, then nodded. "You have indeed done a splendid job. I trust your judgment, and because of that, I will allow them to stay here in the Celestial Realm for the time being. If they can prove themselves worthy of you, I will accept them as my spirit beasts, and we will hold your wedding."

Xuelin’s face lit up with happiness. Her relief was evident, and she quickly agreed to the terms. The two men also bowed their heads with gratitude filled eyes.

With the decision made, Xiang Ling led Xuelin and her chosen mates into her Spatial Realm. For several hours, she trained with them, testing their abilities and observing how well they worked together. The training was intense, and by the time she returned to the palace, it was already close to evening.

As she arrived back, she found a divine letter was waiting her. It was from Li Xian and brought news from the battlefield. Three thousand soldiers from the Dark Force had been annihilated, yet the war was far from over.

The Dark Force was numbered in the hundreds of thousands. It wasn’t easy to completely wipe them off so quickly and easily.

Li Xian also mentioned that Xin Cheng and Dao Ming were searching for a substitute for the last divine item they needed to recreate the ancient seal of the Abyssal Lands.

She knew better than anyone that the ongoing war was not the solution they needed. If she wasn’t wrong, a war was exactly what the Shadow Lord wanted.

It would not only create blood-bath and terror among the Realms, but it would also burn a hole in the resources of the Upper Realms. And in addition to all this, if the war continued for way too long, it would exhaust the soldiers and turn their moral down.

Once that would happen, it would become so easy for Shadow Lord to attack the Upper Realms and get exactly what he wanted.

He was prepared for this war, no matter for how long it stretched on

or how many of his men died.

Xiang Ling sighed deeply, dispersing the divine letter. Her mind raced, formulating a plan that was as dangerous as it was necessary. The war had to end, but not in the way the Shadow Lord intended. She had to act quickly.

Making the necessary arrangements for her night duties, she prepared to leave the Celestial Realm. Her heart was heavy with the weight of the decision she was about to make, but there was no other way. She had to take matters into her own hands.

She moved swiftly, slipping out of the Galaxy Ring and heading toward the edge of the Celestial Realm. Her kept her steps light and made sure not to draw attention toward herself. However, just as she was about to leave the realm, she sensed a presence.

She immediately halted and her senses went in high alert. The air around her seemed to thrum with energy, and she knew that someonehad discovered her. She turned slowly, prepared to confront whoever had found her.

But the person who immersed from the shadows was Xu Wei.

"Master, why are you sneaking around like this?" The young man questioned with a confused look on his face.

"I’m heading somewhere. You go and get busy. Don’t mind me." She told him and tried to walk away, only for Xu Wei to stop her.

"Master, are you going to do something crazy?"

His question made her halt in her steps and she let out a deep sigh. Turning her attention to him, she replied, "I’m going to find a way to stop the Shadow Lord before it’s too late. For us... and for him as well."

"You are going to do no such thing!"

Xu Wei stopped her immediately, his hand coming to grab her shoulders as he kept her from moving away. Surprised, she stared at him in confusion.

"Master, isn’t the Immortal army already out there fighting the war? Then why are you trying to do something stupid? Just let them handle the war and you stay here. Take care of your duties and forget about getting involved in this war."

Worry was written all over his face as he tried to stop her, but Xiang Ling had already made up her mind.

She removed his hands from her shoulders as she spoke the words - "As long as I’m a part of this world, I’m involved in this war, Ah Wei. What do you think will happen when the Shadow Lord will get what he wants?"
