Journey To Become an Insanely Pampered Wife

Chapter 331: The Voice in the Dream

Chapter 331: The Voice in the Dream

The sky of the Heavenly Realm was painted with the glow of countless stars, yet the atmosphere was tense and filled with anticipation. Unlike the usual nights, this was no normal night.

Thousands of miles away from the Upper Realms, a battlefield was getting ready to witness the inevitable war.

Li Xian stood at the front of the vast army of the Upper Realms, leading them as the Immortal of War. His blue eyes looked sharp as the edge of a blade as he gazed into the horizon where the forces of the Shadow Lord were advancing.

The Dark Force was a terrifying army of twisted shadows and monstrous creatures and it was ready to unleash chaos upon the Five Realms... but only if they won this war.

Li Xian tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword, its blade shimmering with divine light. He was not only the Immortal of War, but also the Crown Prince of the Heavenly Realm and the future Emperor, it was his duty to protect the realms and eradicate any evil that threatened their peace.

Wei Guang was standing right beside him and his presence there was a big support as the latter was not only the Celestial King, but also Li Xian’s closest friend who had always been there with him through thick and thin.

Their friendship was so deep that they even ended up going through both their heavenly and life tribulations together.

"We will end them this time," Wei Guang spoke, his voice calm yet resolute.

Li Xian nodded, his own expression solemn. "The Shadow Lord’s ambitions must be crushed. We cannot allow him to bring ruin to the realms."

Behind them, the armies of the Heavenly guards stood in formation, their weapons ready and their spirits high. The soldiers looked to their leaders with unwavering loyalty, ready to follow them into the fray.

Not far from the main battlefield, Xin Cheng and Li Dao Ming were preparing their own forces. It was a chance given to them by the High Council to prove their loyalty toward the Five Realms’ peace treaty and the High Council itself.

Besides, the two were also trying to locate the Shadow Lord as soon as possible while they prepared to fight with the Dark Force.

On the other hand, Zhe Yuan took over the job of keeping the North Sea Realm and the Mortal Realm protected from the attacks of the Dark Force along with Emperor Xu Ting.

As for Zhang Xuan, he stayed behind in the Heavenly Realm and led the High Council as they prepared for the worst case scenario.

The battle finally began and it raged on for several heavenly days. Problem was - one heavenly day was equal to an entire long year for the Lower Realms and it was also the Lower Realms who were suffering the most from this battle.

The skies above the battlefield were filled with the clash of swords and the roars of battle, while below, the ground trembled from the force of the combat.

Despite their fierce resistance, the Dark Force proved to be a formidable opponent, with endless waves of shadowy creatures and corrupted demons pouring from the abyss.

Yet amidst all this chaos, Xiang Ling felt a sense of emptiness. She had been left behind in the Celestial Realm to continue her duties as the Blue Star, a High Immortal, and the person-in-command of the Celestial Realm in Wei Guang’s absence.

However, despite the importance of her role, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that she was meant to play a much important role in this war. She found herself pacing through the grand halls of the Celestial Palace with a restless mind.

"I should be out there, helping them," she whispered to herself, her heart heavy with doubt. She was filled with doubts and anxiety that were growing with each passing day.

As the fifth day of battle dawned, she decided to take a moment of rest. She returned to her bedchamber and headed to sleep. However, the moment she closed her eyes, she was pulled into a dream - a dream unlike any she had ever experienced.

There was darkness everywhere... and silence.

She found herself floating in an endless void, with no sense of direction or time. The darkness felt alive, swirling around her like a living entity, oppressive and full of malice.

But then, something shifted in that darkness and she found herself seeing the visions of the Five Realms. Each Realm appeared to be consumed by the same darkness that was surrounding her. Cities had crumbled, mountains were shattered, and rivers had ran dry. The once vibrant realms were reduced to desolate wastelands.

And then, she saw her men. All six of them were fighting desperately against an unstoppable force, their faces filled with despair and their bodies carrying heavy wounds.

Her heart dropped at the sight and she tried to pull away from whatever abyss she had fallen into. She tried calling to her spiritual energy for aid, but was shocked to find that she couldn’t reach out for her own powers.

She felt trapped within that darkness. And then, she heard a voice. It was cold and filled with triumph, echoing through the darkness like a sinister melody.

"I have won," the voice declared.

The words sent a chill down her spine, filling her with dread. There was something familiar about the voice, something that tugged at the edges of her memory, but she couldn’t place it.

With her heart pounding in her chest, she tried to locate the source of that voice, but a part of her knew that this dream wasn’t real. The moment this thought registered in her brain, a powerful force threw her out.

She jolted awake and gasped for breath while her heart raced.

The dream felt way too real even when it was not. She couldn’t make herself ignore it. The ominous message, the sense of doom - it all pointed to something terrible.
