Journey To Become an Insanely Pampered Wife

Chapter 241: Flying on Swords

Chapter 241: Flying on Swords

As the morning progressed, the news of Crown Prince changing his plans and heading to a different place reached several ears, but only certain ones got to know exactly where he was heading - the western borders.

Xiang Ling’s group and the Crown Prince’s group played the act perfectly and went on their separate ways. The former traveled for hours and arrived at a small city. They rested for a while and had their lunch before they changed into new clothes, got a new carriage, and left the city to travel until late in the evening. It was almost past eight when they finally entered a town and booked an Inn for the night.

They made sure that they were not followed and waited for the Crown Prince’s arrival. The man finally arrived at the Inn late in the night with Su LiangLin, Mo Li, and Su LiangLin’s personal maid - Zi Yun.

After a brief chat, everyone went to their rooms to rest for the night. When they all woke up the next morning, it was to witness the aftermath of a powerful snow storm that shook the land the previous night.

"No carriage can travel in this snow. We will need to wait." Mo Li spoke once he returned from assessing the condition outside.

"Waiting will not solve anything. The snow will not be going anywhere even after days. And if we stayed here longer, there will be chances for the enemy to find the Crown Prince and attack again." Xiang Ling pointed out, not adding the part where she was anxious to return to Chen Manor as she was missing her other three husbands, even Zhe Yuan despite the fact that she was still mad at him.

"Then what should we do?" Su LiangLin voiced out the question that was present in everyone’s mind.

No one spoke for a while and kept searching for possible solutions in their heads. It was Wu Tian who finally spoke after a while. "I do have a way to travel even in this bad weather."

Everyone’s gaze shifted at him and they all waited to hear what solution he had for their situation.

"We can fly to Dongzhi City."

The silence that followed this suggestion was way too loud. Wu Tian looked at Xiang Ling and her three husbands with arched eyebrows and asked, "You can fly using your swords, right? Don’t tell me your cultivation levels are so low that you haven’t even learned to fly yet."

Xiang Ling wanted to scoff at the audacity of the mortal. She could teleport like it was nothing, and he was asking if she could fly on her sword like a baby cultivator.

"You really can’t? How poor your cultivation levels are exactly? Even Mo Li knows how to fly on a sword." Wu Tian shook his head as if he was feeling utterly disappointed at that moment.

Before Xiang Ling could have opened her mouth to say anything, Xin Cheng was already speaking, "Don’t worry, Your Highness. Our group will not be the one holding you back. If it hasn’t been for you, we might have already reached Dongzhi City by now."

It didn’t take Wu Tian even a second to realize the mockery behind the man’s words. However, before he could have even opened his mouth to say anything, Xiang Ling hurriedly spoke up. "So, when are we leaving."

Wu Tian shifted his attention away from Xin Cheng and turned it toward Xiang Ling. "Let’s depart immediately."

Both the groups immediately packed up their stuff and placed them inside their spaces before they all gathered in the secluded area behind the Inn. Zhang Xuan offered to carry Wei Guang with him as the latter didn’t have any cultivation powers. Xin Cheng and Xiang Ling took out their swords to ride. Mo Li ended up with the task of sharing his sword with Zi Yun since the woman also didn’t know any cultivation. In the end, the only person left with no cultivation was Su LiangLin.

Wu Tian looked at Su LiangLin for a moment before he quickly turned his attention toward Xiang Ling. "You give her a ride." His words were almost an order.

"Why? She’s your wife, not mine. You handle your own people." Xiang Ling returned before she signaled her men and all four of them jumped on their swords and got ready to fly.

Wu Tian stared at Xiang Ling anxiously for a moment or two before he turned to look at Mo Li. "You do it."

Mo Li quickly bowed and apologized. "Your Highness, I can’t do it."

The frustration was more than evident on Wu Tian face and almost everyone noticed it, including Su LiangLin who was standing there with her hands crossed across her chest.

A smirk curved the corners of Xiang Ling’s lips as she realized that her guess about the Crown Prince and Su LiangLin’s relationship was completely right. Her gaze met with Su LiangLin’s and the latter narrowed her eyes when she noticed the smile on Xiang Ling’s lips.

Stepping closer, she whispered into Wu Tian’s ear for only him to hear. "Stop making a scene."

The man was unable to hold himself back from giving a sharp glare to the woman. Unfortunately for him, there was no other option left. He finally took out his sword and jumped on it before offering his hand to Su LiangLin.

Couple of moments later, five swords were making their way into the sky with eight people riding on them. They disappeared into the dark clouds before any mortal could have spotted them.

The swords flew with crazy speed, crossing hundreds of kilometers within hours. They entered Nanxia County by noon and were on their way to Dongzhi when the unexpected happened.

A sudden force shook their swords, almost causing some of them to loose their balance. Fortunately, everyone managed to keep themselves balanced on the swords.

In order to stop the woman from falling, Wu Tian grabbed Su LiangLin’s waist, only for the woman to start struggling.

"How dare you! Let go of me immediately or I’ll cut your hands and feed them to dogs!"
