Xiang Ling snuggled closer to the source of warmth. She felt arms tightening around her waist as her husband pulled her closer in his embrace. With her face pressed against the smooth chest of the man, she smelled the familiar fresh scent of night that reminded her of a particular someone and her home.
Realizing that it was Wei Guang who was holding her, a smile spread on her lips and she pressed her entire body against the man. Unfortunately, her movements stirred him up from his sleep.
Both of them opened their eyes almost at the same time and looked at one another. At first, Wei Guang smiled at her warmly but then the smile disappeared from his lips as his gaze moved lower from her face.
Confused by his reaction, Xiang Ling opened her mouth to ask what was wrong when she noticed his gaze shifting on something... or someone, behind her. She quickly turned her head to look behind her and found Zhang Xuan staring at her with a huge smile playing on his lips.
As soon as their gazes collided, she was bombarded with the memories from the previous night and her cheeks immediately warmed up. She was so distracted by her thoughts that it took her a little while to notice Zhang Xuan’s very bare upper body that was left on full display as the blanket had slipped down to his waist.
As if hit with a sudden realization, Xiang Ling’s gaze immediately shifted toward her own body and while the blanket was covering her breasts; her arms, shoulders, and collarbone were on full display, making it obvious that she was naked under the covers.
"Zhang Xuan!"
She shouted at the man in alarm when she heard him laughing at the horrified expression that took over her face once she got a hold of the situation. When he didn’t stop laughing, she picked up the pillow with one of her hands and threw it at the man with all her might while struggling to keep the cover in place with her other hand.
Wei Guang finally pulled himself out of the initial shock and immediately grabbed his outer robe before draping it over Xiang Ling’s shoulders and stopped her from launching another attack at Zhang Xuan. She immediately went still and allowed him to cover her with his robe.
"Aww, my lovely Ah Ling. Don’t be so mad. After all, there’s nothing he hasn’t already seen."
Zhang Xuan chose the worst words to speak and this time, he didn’t receive another blow of a pillow. Instead, a powerful force of spiritual qi almost knocked him down from the bed if not for him stepping out of the way immediately.
"Zhang Xuan, stop teasing her." Wei Guang finally spoke when he noticed the embarrassed look on Xiang Ling’s face. He pulled the woman closer and gave her a soft pat on the back of her head. "Looks like you have added another mischievous man in your life. It’s alright. Don’t take this too seriously. You can reprimand him if you want, or I can do it for you."
Xiang Ling looked up at Wei Guang’s face and felt all her embarrassment washing away when she saw the warmth in his deep orbs. "Ah Guang, you are the best. I love you so so much." She said and threw her arms around the man to hug him tightly.
The man immeditely returned the hug and rubbed her back soothingly. He didn’t speak, just stayed there like that and allowed her to seek comfort from him. Couple of moments later, Xiang Ling finally pulled away from the hug and turned to face Zhang Xuan. "That was a very bad prank. From today onwards, you aren’t allowed to sleep on the bed with me until we return to the Chen Manor."
All colors disappeared from Zhang Xuan’s face and he immediately moved to sit next to Xiang Ling, almost sandwiching her between himself and Wei Guang. He took hold of one of her hands and spoke urgently, "Ah Ling, don’t be mad. I will not do something so stupid again. Can you please not punish me so harshly?"
Xiang Ling tried to keep a straight face but Zhang Xuan’s cute puppy eyes were making it hard for her to not give into his apology. Clearing her throat, she spoke, "This is the only time. I will not forgive you next tim-"
The rest of the words never made it past her lips as her mouth got sealed into a kiss. Zhang Xuan took hold of her nape with one of his hands and pulled her face closer to deepen the kiss. The touch of his lips against hers and the feel of his fingers into her hair was more than enough for her entire body to become alive.
She almost moaned into the kiss if not for the man to suddenly end it. Heaving, she watched him pulling away with a little smile on his lips. There was no mistaking the desire that was burning his emerald eyes a bright shade of amber. However, the man kept himself at bay because he didn’t want to upset her again.
Xiang Ling turned her attention toward Wei Guang to see his reaction and was surprised to see that even his dark orbs carried the fire of desire in them. He wanted her too.
She licked her lips as she contemplated on her options, the bigger part of her wanting to forget about everything else and just allow these two men to let their desire take control over them. However, she never got the chance to do anything more than thinking as Xin Cheng’s sudden arrival in the room pulled their attention toward him.
The Demon Emperor took a second to assess the situation inside the room before his gaze finally stopped on Xiang Ling and he spoke, "You should get ready. Wu Tian is already waiting downstairs."
Recalling the show they had to put on for the Crown Prince of the Mortal Realm, Xiang Ling was immediately climbing out of the bed and walking away from the tempting men.
