"What’s wrong with you woman? I’m trying to help you!"
"Nonsense! You are trying to take advantage of the situation so that you can push me down the sword. I know your real intentions!"
Wu Tian struggled to control both his frustration and the woman. However, both were proving hard to be controlled. Su LiangLin refused to stay still no matter how hard he tried, causing imbalance which could lead to a disastrous outcome.
"Someone tell her to stop moving!" He pleaded out loudly when he almost lost his hold on the woman. In that moment, he was unable to understand exactly why he cared about her life. If she fell and died, wouldn’t it be perfect for him? Yet, he was afraid of her falling from the sword.
Before anyone could have said anything to calm down Su LiangLin, another force hit them and all their swords once again wobbles.
As soon as Wu Tian heard the panic in Su LiangLin’s voice as she struggled to keep herself standing on the sword, his hands reached out to steady her. But in hurry, one of his hand ended up on her breast. It was like time almost stilled as realization dawned over both of them about what just happened.
It was Su LiangLin who started screaming first and then he joined her in panic. He immediately snatched his hand back, but it was also accompanied by a punch from the woman that landed square on his left eye and threw him... down the sword.
Realizing that he was about to fall, Wu Tian reached out to grab something to stop his fall and his hand grabbed the most useless thing possible - Su LiangLin.
Everything happened too fast for anyone to react on time.
"What in the Five Realms are these two doing?" Xiang Ling was perplexed at what she just saw. She immediately reached out with her powers to stop the two people from falling but was already too late.
Mo Li was the first one who followed right after the Crown Prince, chasing at a great speed to catch the man if possible while Zi Yun screamed st the top of her lungs as she was scared to death by the turn in the events.
Having left with no other options, Xiang Ling and her husbands also chased after the others. Still, they didn’t hurry like Mo Li because their rational minds knew that someone as powerful as Wu Tian would be able to save himself and his wife from dying.
They all landed in a forest a few moments later and found both Wu Tian and Su LiangLin dusting their clothes as if the two had failed to make a smooth landing. Realizing that she just missed out on one of the most embarrassing moments of Su LiangLin’s life, Xiang Ling found herself regretting for not hurrying.
"Your Highness, you should heal your eyes before it turns dark." Mo Li was quick to remind Wu Tian once he realized that the Crown Prince’s left eye was the only injured part on his body.
Wu Tian, who was adjusting his clothes, stopped and turned his hard gaze toward his chief of guards. He was fully aware of the pain in his eye, there was no need for anyone to remind him of the humiliation he just went through.
Mo Li just kept his mouth shut and stepped back. Though he carried a blank look on his face, his mind was struggling to not smile at the recollection of the memory of the Crown Princess hitting the Crown Prince’s left eye. That entire scenario was just too hilarious when recalled.
Wu Tian quickly healed his eye and turned his attention toward Xiang Ling. "Let’s continue our journey, and... please ride with her this time." This time, his words were more of a request than an order and fortunately, Lady Chen didn’t deny it this time. Instead, she looked around their surroundings and revealed - "We can’t fly out of this place. We are trapped in an array."
While her words shocked Wu Tian and his side of people - Su LiangLin, Zi Yun, and Mo Li, only Wei Guang appeared surprised on Xiang Ling’s side as her other two husbands appeared just as calm as Xiang Ling.
Wu Tian immeditely scanned the area and realized that they were indeed trapped in some sort of magical array, and a powerful one on that. "What kind of array is it?" He asked when he failed to recognize it himself.
"We can’t tell yet. Let’s keep moving. The array will reveal itself over time." This suggestion came from Xin Cheng whose sharp eyes were scanning their surroundings as if he was searching for something in particular.
"We have no idea of direction in here. Are we going to walk in some random direction then?" Su LiangLin was the one who asked this question and her eyes were focused on Xiang Ling. Reason - among all the other seven people present there other than her, she only trusted Supreme Immortal Xing.
Xiang Ling caught the Crown Princess looking at her and she revealed remaining piece of information she had about the place they were currently trapped in. "We are in the Enchanted Forest at the border of Nanxia County. One side of this forest is lined with Nanxia, another with Cangzhu, and last one with North Sea. We came from the north, so that will be the direction of Cangzhu. North Sea is on the west, so we need to walk in either east or south. However, walking in east can make us loose the track and we can end up walking further from our destination. So, we should walk toward south."
Almost everyone nodded their heads in both understanding and agreement with her words. It was Xin Cheng who decided to take the lead and they all started walking. Because of how dense the canopy of the forest was, very little snow had been able to reach the ground and it proved beneficial for them as they easily made their way through the forest.
It was when they stopped for a little break when Xiang Ling walked up to Xin Cheng and whispered, "Why is there demonic energy here?"
