According to the rumors, this realm was even more beautiful than the ancient God Realm that got destroyed several of millenia ago. This was the Realm of Heaven.
Amidst the vast expanse of clouds, illuminated by the gentle glow of celestial bodies, the view of this realm greeted the onlookers. Majestic palaces and pavilions crafted from shimmering jade or celestial materials floated in the sky, their intricate architecture a testament to the divine craftsmanship of the celestial beings who inhabited this realm.
Gardens of exotic flowers and trees, their colors more vibrant and their scents more intoxicating than anything found in rest of the four realms, dotted the landscape, adding to the surreal beauty of the Realm.
Waterfalls cascaded down from towering cliffs, their crystalline waters flowed with a musical harmony that soothed the soul. Bridges made of rainbow-hued light spanned across chasms, connecting different parts of the realm in a mesmerizing display of otherworldly architectural skills.
The air was imbued with a palpable sense of tranquility and purity, carrying with it the whispers of celestial beings engaged in serene contemplation or celestial cultivation. A sense of timelessness pervaded the Realm, where the passage of time seemed to lose its meaning amidst the eternal beauty and serenity of this celestial paradise.
Yet, beneath the surface beauty, there was also an underlying sense of power and mystery, as the Heavenly Realm was the home to beings of immense strength and wisdom, whose motives and machinations often shaped the fate of both mortals and immortals alike.
At the highest cliff of this realm, stood a grand palace that put every other building in the realm to shame in front of its beauty. It was the famous Imperial palace of the Heavenly Realm.
Currently, inside the northern-east quarters of this palace, two supreme beings were busy watching mortals through a divine mirror.
"Who would have thought that a wild card will be able to achieve what everyone else failed to do. You indeed made the right mistake by sending her down there. I’m still suspicious whether you already knew about the outcome of your decision or not."
The one who spoke these words was a woman who looked to be in her late-thirties. She was dressed in a beautiful white silk dress with golden jewelry adorning the outfit. Her long black hair was left loose with a set of golden hairpins decorating the crown of her head. She was busy enjoying the spiritual tea while she watched the ongoing event in the Chen Manor through the divine mirror.
Another woman, who was dressed in an extremely beautiful golden gown, let out a small sigh as she put down the jade cup she was using to enjoy her favorite tea.
"Stop being so suspicious already. The only thing I foresaw was her finding Ah Xian and her bond with the Celestial King. I had no clue back then that she will also be able to bring men like those three to their knees as well."
The woman in white smiled at the Heavenly Empress’ choice of words and watched with interest as the Mortal form of Supreme Immortal Xing prepared tea for her husbands. She was able to recognize every single one of those six handsome men except for Zhang Xuan. While she found that name familiar, she was unable to recall where she heard it before.
She and her friend, the Heavenly Empress, had been trying their best to find out anything about Zhang Xuan’s identity but they had been met with disappointment every single time. Even the divine mirror, that could show the real identities of all the beings in five realms, was failing constantly to show the identity of that man.
If the mirror had shown him the way he was, there was no reason for them to worry. However, the mirror always turned blank which raised their suspicions. What... or who... could make the divine mirror turn blank?
So far, they haven’t been able to find anything but from what they have observed through the divine mirror, that mysterious man seemed to have no ill-intentions toward anyone in the Chen Manor for the time being which helped the two women feel relieved.
Turning her attention toward the Heavenly Empress, the woman in white spoke with a teasing tone. "I’m sure what you really not saw coming was for your dear son to fall her as well. Right?"
The Heavenly Empress had a frown decorating her face as she remained silent for a while. There was no denying that she indeed didn’t see this situation coming, but if she had to tell the truth, she was more worried than unhappy.
Personally, she wouldn’t have any objections if her son ever decided to marry Supreme Immortal Xing. However, the current situation was far from what she would consider a good timing for them to fall in love. They were in the Mortal Realm to begin with. While one of them had their divine memories, the other didn’t. While one would remember their love after returning to the Heavenly Realm, the other wouldn’t.
Other than that, there was also the issue of Supreme Immortal Xing having more than one lover. While the Mortal form of Li Xian was not against it, could the same be said about the Heavenly Crown Prince?
And even if they didn’t face these problems and somehow their romantic journey continued even after the end of their Life tribulations, there was still the unpredictable future of Supreme Immortal Xing’s involvement with those men from the lower realms. Even though it was possibly the closest anyone had ever come to uniting the realms, the journey had just began, and there was still a long way left for them to cover.
