Xiang Ling’s days soon became busy and insanely tiring as she started with the mission of eradicating the Lin Family’s Village from the curse of the Demonic Poison that had already killed over a hundred villagers and left the others on the edge of life and death.
After meeting with the disciples of Wangjing and Wudang Sects, they all decided to work in unison. Xiang Ling and Fairy Liying used their powers to set up the two Inns for the patients while Li Xian worked with the disciples of Wangjing Medical Sect to work on preparing the concoction - a prescription Xiang Ling handed over to the Elder of the Medical Sect for review and the old man immediately gave it a green flag when he noticed how perfect the prescription was to fight against the poison.
Zhe Yuan, on the other hand, worked along with the disciples of the Wudang Sect and helped in shifting the infected villagers into the two Inns. The biggest Inn was a three-storey building and Xiang Ling decided to shift the patients with severe conditions there as there were a lot of them.
The villagers were divided into four levels based on how badly the poison had affected them. In level one were the patients who recently got in contact with poison and could be healed quickly. On the other hand, level four patients were the ones who seemed like they would die anytime soon.
The first Inn was used for the level four patients and the second Inn, which was also a three-storey building but had fewer rooms, was used for the patients of levels three and two.
The level-one patients were shifted to the only clinic in the entire village. The family of the physician was shifted away from there to use the rooms in the backyard of the clinic for the patients’ stay.
Lastly, those villagers who somehow survived an entire month without coming in contact with the plague were quarantined in their houses until further notice. Fairy Liying and a group of disciples from the Wangjing Medical Sect spent an entire day disinfecting all the houses and other buildings in the village.
The disciples of Wangjing Medical Sect were shocked when they found huge trunks filled with medical herbs sitting in the common area of their Inn when they woke up in the morning and went downstairs. They tried to investigate where the herbs came from but were unable to find anything. In the end, they just accepted the secret donation and used the herbs as they were almost running out of the stock they brought with them from their Sect.
Within the first two days of Xiang Ling’s arrival at the Lin Family’s Village, the situation changed so much for the positive that everyone was left shocked. The disciples of the Cultivation Sects and the villagers were in awe of the woman and her companions achieving so much progress within two days - something that others failed to do even in weeks.
At first, the two elders and the disciples of the two sects were wary of Xiang Ling and her companions. But as days passed, they realized that this young lady was probably a benevolent cultivator who was genuinely there to help the villagers. They also had their doubts that the fresh spiritual water in the kitchen and the sudden appearance of the herbs were also related to Xiang Ling.
"Lady Liying, we never got the chance to ask who this young lady and her companions are?" A female disciple of Wangjing Medical Sect asked one evening when they all were busy preparing medicinal soups for the patients.
As soon as she asked the questions, the backyard became dead silent within seconds as everyone’s attention shifted toward Liying. They all were anticipating the answer, including the Elder of the Sect who was trying to pretend to be busy in weighing the herbs.
Liying took a look at the anticipating gazes that were fixed on her and let out a small sigh. She had already discussed with Xiang Ling previously how to handle the current situation when it arrived. "She’s the daughter of the County Magistrate of the Nanxia County, Chen Xiang Ling. As for those two men with her, they are Young Master Li Xian and Young Master Wen Zhe Yuan. They are her husbands."
"She’s married!!"
"Both the men are her husbands?"
"Or why do you think the three of them have been sharing the same room, you stupid woman!"
"Is she a cultivator?"
"She seems like someone really powerful."
The once silent backyard of the Inn was suddenly filled with the voices of the disciples who were all left shocked by Liying’s answer for one reason or another. Liying just shook her head and continued to focus on her work.
"I never heard that the County Magistrate of Nanxia has such a genius daughter." The statement came from the Elder who was finally unable to hide his interest in the ongoing conversation. "She seems like a prodigy, might be at least a Master or Grand Master Level Cultivator."
The Elder’s words made surprised whispers break out in the backyard as the disciples were shocked to hear such a high level of cultivation. Even though Lady Chen was almost nineteen years old and could have been cultivating for over a decade, unless she was a genius prodigy, it was impossible for her to reach the fifth level of cultivation at such a young age.
The cultivation process in the Mortal Realm was divided into ten levels-

2. Foundation Builder Level
3. Core Condenser Level
4. Master Cultivator Level
5. Grand Master Cultivator Level
6. Nascent Soul Level
7. Spirit Cultivator Level
8. Celestial Ascendant Level
9. Divine Cultivator Level
10. Immortal Sovereign
The first five levels were divided into twelve stages each and the rest of the five levels had seven stages each. Once a cultivator reached the final stage of Immortal Sovereign and broke through the last stage, they would face their heavenly tribulation. Upon successfully passing the tribulation, they might ascent to Immortality to leave the Mortal Realm to join the Immortals in the Upper Realms.
