Chapter 662: Clearing Things Up
Chapter 662: Clearing Things Up
Splatter.
Han Di punched at one of the men and the booming wave splattered the head into pieces in a single strike again.
The other men glanced at each other and their instinct told them to turn around and run away.
But Han Di wouldn’t allow them to do so.
He hurled a bunch of talismans at them and the talismans gave out a brown glow.
Vines grew out from the talismans and wrapped themselves onto the bodies of the cultivators from the north.
"Damn you! Let us go!" The cultivators from the north who were entangled by the vines cursed out and tried to break free from them.
They directed their Spirit Qi to their bodies and the tattoos on their arms gave out a bright glow.
But it was to no avail.
The vines grew thicker and stronger instead.
Slowly the vines crept up onto their bodies and necks.
When the vines wrapped around their necks, they strangled them and they had to gasp for air.
Meanwhile, Han Di didn’t stand by to watch.
He pulled back his arms and punched out at the cultivators from the north, one after another.
Boom.
Sounds of the booming wave that broke through the air when he punched out at the cultivators from the north could be heard.
And each booming wave was followed by a loud and wet muted thud when it hit the head of its target.
Splatter.
The heads of the cultivators from the north splattered into pieces from Han Di’s punches.
After he was done with them, Han Di glanced over at Lee He Song.
Lee He Song’s sword was now covered in warm red blood that was dripping down from the tip of his sword.
The cultivators from the north that he was dealing with were also taken care of.
"Well done, Master Lee." Han Di said but he quickly turned silent when he heard more footsteps coming towards them.
"I guess we have more work to be done before we can have our lunch." He said and faced the new group of enemies that had come.
Lee He Song shrugged and prepared himself for the next round of battle with a talisman in his hand.
"Both of you shall die!" The cultivators from the north who had just arrived shouted at Lee He Song and Han Di when they saw the number of bodies of their compatriots lying on the ground.
They stormed towards Lee He Song and Han Di.
But when they got close to Lee He Song, the talisman in Lee He Song’s hand gave out a glow and he disappeared from their sight in the next moment.
Then, there were screams of pain when Lee He Song’s blade plunged through the neck of one of them out of nowhere.
All of them tried to sense where Lee He Song was but they couldn’t.
It was as if Lee He Song wasn’t using any Spirit Qi to them.
Fear struck them when it occurred to them what this meant.
They would be picked off easily by Lee He Song if they didn’t do something.
But what could they do when they couldn’t even sense where he was?
Thoughts went through their minds before the cold blade of Lee He Song’s sword struck them.
Han Di on the other end went for something that was more direct.
His figure turned into a shimmer, traveling with tremendous speed among the cultivators from the north.
And when his figure passed through them, they were ripped apart at the waist into two halves.
Splash.
The innards and blood splashed out into the surroundings and it turned the area into a river of blood.
With the volume of blood being too much for the soil to bear, the blood flowed downwards from the slope, turning it into a literal river.
The cultivators from the north gasped and they couldn’t believe what they were witnessing.
All of them believed that they were ruthless but after they had witnessed what Han Di just did, they weren’t too sure anymore.
Their hearts sank when Han Di got closer and closer to them.
They wanted to turn around and run but after a gust of wind blew past them, they couldn’t feel their feet anymore.
Pain struck them, and even before they could cry out in pain, they dropped to the ground and their vision turned blank in the next moment.
All of them were ripped apart into halves by Han Di before they could know it.
Finally, it was over as Han Di stood and waited for the next round of attack but none of them came anymore.
"I’m not too sure if your body needs to take any food for lunch, Master Lin?" Lee He Song chuckled and came over to Han Di and said when he was done on his side.
Han Di shrugged his shoulders and said, "I’m having it in the mansion..."
That got Lee He Song craving for the food from Auntie Sue.
He gave out a sigh and said, "Maybe we should have another banquet after we are done here."
Han Di nodded his head at Lee He Song and said, "That is a must when we get back... But for the time being, let’s get back to the mines and meet up with them."
Lee He Song nodded, and they rummaged through the bodies, searching for anything valuable before heading to the entrance of the mines, where Lao Er and Ling Er were waiting.
It was a chaotic mess at the entrance.
The Captain in charge was surprised that Lao Er and Ling Er together with the other disciples were able to survive unharmed.
He was having a huge headache with many casualty reports.
And when he saw them, he wondered if they had deserted their position.
Lao Er knew what the Captain wanted to say and he briefed him on what had happened before he could do so.
"You mean your so-called Grand Ancestor Lin sent someone to save you and they would defeat the enemies?" The Captain frowned and asked Lao Er with a skeptical look.
Lao Er being so young seemed like he was lying to him.
"I’m sure of that... Look, there they are." Lao Er replied and he pointed at two figures that descended from the air.
The Captain lifted his head and saw that there were in fact two figures that were descending from the sky.
