The loud noise distracted them from their peaceful dinner as everyone turned puzzled. It was the heavy and loud sounds of chopper landing. Not one but many.
The family members wiped their hands and got up from the table. Gu Yeze, Gu Shaoting and Gu Yehan were about to go look at what was happening when, they heard gunshots being fired, and they stopped in their tracks.
Soon, they heard collective footsteps entering the mansion. They were many people, dressed more like assasins in black and red with weapons in their hands.
They positioned themselves and aimed their guns at them as if one wrong move by them and they would shoot someone dead!
Gu Yehan’s eyes had furrowed deep as he saw all these happening, while Gu Yeze scanned all of them with his cold gaze. But no one moved. The men of the house were more concerned about the women standing behind. Especially when one was just in her very early pregnancy.
They then saw man walking up to stand in front of them. He had worn a hoodie like thing, that hugged his body showing the good shape he was in, but it had a hoodie cap, that almost covered half of his face.
" Position back. And don’t try anything funny." He said.
As soon as she heard the voice, Ning Mei’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. That voice. Why did it feel like she has heard the voice before. But where?
The Gu men took a step behind and stood. They did not take any chance. Firstly, they were outnumbered, then they were highly unprepared and other party had weapons. And lastly, they had family here that they needed to protect first.
Then again, they heard crisp footsteps clicking against the floor tiles, as someone else made his way in the front.
And when they saw the man, they were kind of, ... speechless. This man here just looked like a - prince? Yes, that would be the most appropriate word to describe his aura and appearance.
He had worn a three piece suit , and the coat had laces on it. He was dressed like some western prince from the medival age.
But the most striking part of him was his - silver hairs!
Ning Mei looked stunned at the man who stood in front of her family. The man, whose men were now pointing guns at them.
And did she recognise him? Ofcourse, she did! How could she not!?
Yang Bei saw that Ning Mei recognised him and a small smile appeared on his lips.
Gu Yeze who was looking at the man noticed at that this man did not look at any of them in their eyes, but was staring and smiling at someone in the back.
He slightly turned around following his gaze and found out it was Ning Mei. And from their gazes, it was apparent that both of them knew each other. And that had his eyes going more colder.
Yang Bei waved his hand at her and said, " Hii, Xiao Mei! How have you been doing? "
Ning Mei looked shocked as she uttered his name, " Yang Bei! " She was more than shocked to see him here. What was he even doing here?
" I am so glad that you remember me. I thought you wouldn’t? " He said.
The family members were also astonished to find out that Ning Mei knew this person who came here with his men and weapons out of nowhere.
A smile bloomed on her face and she smiled brightly, " Yang Bei! " She then turned to look at the Gu family and said, " He is Yang Bei. A friend. "
Everyone released a breath they did not know they were holding in. But then they were not completely reliefed for some reason. That must be because of the pointing guns at them.
But Gu Yeze’s expression did not soften. Instead, when he heard the name from Ning Mei’s mouth, his eyes hardened even more.
The surname, "Yang".
Then turning back to him she said, " It is a surprise to meet you! And what is all this? You know it’s not funny, right? My family wa-"
" Tsk. Tsk. Xiao Mei, you are getting me wrong. I am your friend, not theirs. " Yang Bei interupted her and said.
Ning Mei turned confused, " What do you mean by that ? And.. how did you know that you would find me here?"
On hearing her question, Yang Bei flashed a charming smile of his and said, " Too many questions, Meimei. I promise to answer all of them. But for now, let’s go. "
Everyone frowned hearing the last line. ’let’s go? Where would she go?’
Gu Yeze, now could not hold himself anymore. He was already not liking how this man had come here without permission and terrorized his family, and had kept them at the gunpoint. And he was more irked by the fact that he was calling Ning Mei so dearly.
And the even more annoying fact was that he did not know who he was! Call it an unhealthy obsession, but Gu Yeze had kept track and record of each and every soul that had come on contact with Ning Mei in the past three years.
He also kept as much information he could gather about her before he met her, but this Yang Bei was none of them. Instead, he had a different and not so good wild guess hearing his name.
And now, this Yang man was asking to take his wife away to who knows where!
So before Ning Mei could even say something, Gu Yeze asked in an icy cold tone, " And where do you think she would go with you? And why would she?"
Yang Bei glanced at Gu Yeze through the corner of his eyes and said, " And who do you think you are for me to answer you? And secondly, I haven’t talked to you?"

Gu Yeze’s face remained expressionless as his guess was getting more and more stronger, while everyone was speechless by the audacity of this strange man.
Noone had ever dared to talk to Gu Yeze in that tone. And now him! But one thing, everyone noticed very well, that if they had met anyone that could match Gu Yeze’s aura in his generation, that is going to be this Yang Bei.
