It was then that Zhuang Yunyao came out of the kitchen to the leaving room, hearing the sound of laughter and said, " What are you all laughing about? Tell me too. "
Gu Liya said with a smile, " It’s the articles and news circulating about the fire that Ning Mei had put on last night at the Ning Mansion. "
Zhuang Yunyao chuckeld and said, " Oh yes, I already saw it in the morning! Mei mei, you did a very good job. That vicious woman deserves worse. "
Saying so, Zhuang Yunyao showed her daughter in law a big thumbs up.

Zhuang Yunyao giggled and said, " Okay. Then I will play the evil and cunning mother in law role with your wife when you get married, alright? "
Gu Yehan pouted and everyone laughed.
It was then that Gu Liya commented from the side, " Ning Mei , you are really lucky, eh! I have stayed in this house for twenty three long years, yet I never recieved this much pampering from them all together! "
It was Gu Yehan who replied to her and said, " Humph! How wishful thinking you have! Go get married then ask your in laws to pamper you~"
Gu Liya’s face crunched up and she said, " Ofcourse! You would see, I would get the best in laws! Unlike you. Who knows if you would even get married?! Which unlucky girl would marry you! "
Gu Yehan got all riled up and he stood adjusting his sleeves and said, " You little piggie! You are asking for a beating, is it! "
Gu Liya hurriedly brought a cushion in front of her and yelled facing at kitchen, "Dad! Dad! Second brother is coming to hit me! "
" You dare call dad again! " Gu Yehan said as he got ready to tackle her.
Zhuang Yunyao shook her head and sighed. She chided them and said, " You two! What’s your age! Can you two not behave like adults? When are you two going to grow up! Stop quarreling or I will pull your ears red! "
The two of them stopped advancing at each other with the intentions of scratching like cats and dogs. They stuck their tongues and teased one another.
Looking at the grown up adults in their mid twenties acting like kids, the other members couldn’t help but laugh.
Ning Mei looked at the happy and joyful atmosphere around her and was honestly very overwhelmed by this. She could not express her happiness at the moment. Her life felt so complete. And she couldn’t ask for anything else.
Her eyes then met Gu Yeze’s and as if he knew what was going on in hee mind, he blinked and then smiled.
Honestly, he too wanted to drown Ning Mei in a pool of thanks. He was so thankful to her because it was because of her presence in his life that he could live his moment right now.
Soon, they saw Gu Shaoting too come out of the kitchen, with his apron still on and said, " Alright, everything is done! Everyone, come to the dining hall soon! "
He then said to Ning Mei, " Xiao Mei, today you will see how good cooks your father in law and mother in law are. "
Ning Mei nodded with a big smile.
Finally when they were done with the hearty lunch made by Zhuang Yunyao, it was the turn of the tiramisu that Gu Shaoting had made for the dessert. Ning Mei took a bite and the next second, her eyes shone brightly. She said, " Wow!! Dad! This is so amazing! "
Gu Shaoting smiled happily and said,." I am glad that you liked it. "
Ning Mei took another bite, when she heard Elder Gu say, " Meimei, I was wondering that we should settle for a good date to meet your family too. "
And as Ning Mei was about to answer, they heard very loud sound from outside.
