She asked them about Gu Yeze’s family and how they were in real life. Because from what she knew, the Gu family was not transparent at all about their personal life with the public.
She knew that Gu Yeze had a brother, Gu Yehan , and he also had a younger sister. But then again, Ning Mei did not know anything about the sister. She was even more secretive. Even her name was not public.
She had asked Gu Yeze about her and he told her that, his sister’s name was Gu Liya. Ning Mei already had a fair idea about Gu Yeze’s parents and grandparents, while talking to Gu Yeze and Gu Yehan. But she was curious about Gu Liya. On asking about her to Gu Yeze, he had replied her that, she would be meeting her soon.

It was a little late, when Ning Mei was lying on the bed after taking her shower and getting changed into a comfortable night gown. She was checking her recent schedule that Yu Lian had sent her.
She had the cake slices properly placed and covered on top of a table in the room. Earlier after the cake was baked, Ning Mei had decorated it beautifully with whipped cream and chocolate balls and chocolate chips.
As the cake she had baked was considerable large in size, she had cut it into many pieces and distributed each piece among the few servants and the Butler who were currently in the mansion. She herself had two huge pieces herself. And brought some to the bedroom in hopes of feeding them to her husband.

Ning Mei looked at the time and wondered why had Gu Yeze not returned yet. The next second, she had a big yawn. Having eaten to her fill, then taking a relaxing bath and laying on a comfortable bed in was inevitable for sleep not to knock on her body. She had closed her eyes for a while and unknowingly drifted to the world of sweet slumber.
It was just after a few minutes that, the knob turned and Gu Yeze entered the room. And the very first sight he was greeted with was the beautiful and dainty figure of his wife laying on the bed.
She was clad with a peach coloured sleeveless night gown. The colour and the fabric accentuating her already alluring features.
He walked in and stood beside the bedside. He leaned down towards her and slowly caressed her head. Her face looked like an heavenly angel having her peaceful sleep. Ning Mei’s black hairs were sprawled across the pillow adding to get beauty.
Not wanting to wake his wife from her peaceful sleep, he put the bouquet of red roses on the beside table. He arranged it in such a position that when she opened her eyes, the first thing she would see would be the boquet.
After Gu Yeze entered the bathroom for freshening up, Ning Mei groggily opened her eyes. Though Gu Yeze was careful not to make any sound to disturb her, yet she woke up after sometime on her own.
She opened her, and the first thing that came to her view was something red. As sleep did not completely leave her eyes, she shut her eyes tightly and then opened again in order to have a clearer view. And this time, she saw it clearly. They were roses!
She woke up with a start and stared at the roses with her eyes widened. It was such a huge boquet! Ning Mei could roughly tell they were nearly sixty to seventy roses there.
After a few seconds, Ning Mei softly crawled to the bed’s edge next to the table where it was kept and looked with puzzled yet surprised eyes.
Ning Mei did not know that Gu Yeze was back, nor was she expecting roses, so she was puzzled about the person who brought it. Yet, at the same time, the little feminine corner of her heart felt happy receiving the flowers. After all which girl did not like flowers!
Ning Mei slowly picked up the boquet. At this moment, her head was still a bit muddled up, as she just woke up. It was then her eyes fell on the decorative card in front of the boquet. There was a beautiful hatdwritten cursive note saying, " For my wife, Ning Mei. "
Reading the note, Ning Mei widened her eyes. Her heart and mind overflowing with thousands of emotions per second. The next second, she heard some noises in the bathroom and knew that it was really Gu Yeze.

When Gu Yeze walked out of the bathroom, to his surprise, he found Ning Mei sitting on the bed with the boquet of roses he had brought of her, looking at it blankly.
Looking at her blank expression, Gu Yeze felt that rare anxiousness fill his heart on the thought of maybe she did not like the flowers.
But then strengthening his panicking heart, he walked to the bed and sat in front of her. He then stroked her head like a little kid, and removing the strands of her silky black hairs that fell on her face, as he said, " Did you have a good sleep? "
Ning Mei slowly nodded her head with an oh so innocent expression and said, " I just fell asleep a few minutes ago. I was waiting for you. " She said it so cutely that Gu Yeze almost pinched her cheeks.
Gu Yeze chuckled and kissed her cheeks. Then said, " Is it so? "
Ning Mei pursed her lips, overwhelmed with the sweet gesture. She had a faint pink blush on her cheeks as she stared at Gu Yeze.
Then looking back at the flowers, she asked, " You brought this for me yourself? " Gu Yeze nodded to her question and anwered, " Yes. "
Only his assistant knew that he had himself handpicked each roses in the boquet out of hundred roses. And then almost wasted over thirty cards, writing the note and then tearing it up again, when he did not like it. This had Wen Xiao gritting his teeth out of annoyance.
Love was crazy. It made unexpected people do unimaginable things.
