Chapter 231: THERE IS ALWAYS SPACE FOR THE DESERTS!

After, she came out the saleswoman approached her and she asked whether she would like to see other things. Ning Mei did not have her shopping mood affected by the Ning Yan’s drama. So she said she wanted to.

" The saleswoman looked surprised by her quick decision. But then again looking at the suit and the colour, it matched each dress she had brought earlier. ’ She must be buying it for her boyfriend. ’, she thought.

Then she asked for size, she required and Ning Mei pointed at the mannequin and told, " I need this exact size. "

The assisting saleswoman looked surprised and asked again, " Okay ma’am, but any alterations? The shoulder area? "

When Ning Mei reached home, it was already dusk. The butler greeted her, which she replied him with a bright smile before rushing to her room. The butler was about to tell her something, but before he could get a change she had already vanished. The old Butler could do nothing but shake his head with a smile.

After a while, Ning Mei came skipping downstairs again and was about to head to the kitchen , when she saw the Butler. So she asked him, " Housekeeper Xu, what is for dinner today?! Do you have any specific idea on your mind or should I suggest it." She asked with blinking eyes.

Mainly it was the job of the Mistress of the house to decide what to be cooked and not. But Ning Mei had still not taken over the role as she would be mostly busy with work. So she let Housekeeper Xu decide on that, while she would sometimes see into it, when she was home.

Housekeeper Xu smiled a little helplessly and said, " Madam, this was what I wanted to tell you. Assistant Wen had informed me earlier that he would not be able to have dinner at home today, as he will be having dinner with his partners. So, Master asked you to eat your fill first. "

Ning Mei raised her brows and pouted. So he will be eating out with his partners. Ning Mei pouted a bit, because she was expecting to cook a hearty meal for her husband and to eat it together.

But guess, they would not be able to eat it.

Accepting her fate, Ning Mei shrugged off and said, " That’s fine, Housekeeper Xu."

Then the housekeeper asked, " Madam, what would you like to eat? " Ning Mei simply thought for a while then said, " A bowl of noddles would do. "

The housekeeper nodded and was about to go order the chefs, and Ning Mei also turned around to go fond something else to do, when she thought of something and her eyes shined.

She hurriedly at once turned around and said, " Housekeeper Xu! Wait! "

The butler stopped on his track and turned around to see the Madam suddenly enthusiastic.

Ning Mei said happily, " No need to bother anyone with it. " Looking at the butler’s confused face, Ning Mei said, " I plan on making something for my husband. So i will cook me a bowl of noddles then. "

But Housekeeper Xu got even more confused and said, " But Madam, Sir will be eating out today. " Then why was madam cooking again.

Ning Mei had already started walking towards the kitchen. She turned back and waved her hands, and she said cheekily, " Don’t worry, Housekeeper Xu! A person always has space for some desserts. "

Housekeeper Xu just smiled at her words and followed her incase the young madam needed some help.

Ning Mei gathered the ingredients for a cake together with the help of the servants. Then she started mixing the ingredients one by one on a bowl, while, she prepared the noddles for her ownself on the stove. Right now, Ning Mei had put the noddles and vegetables to boil while she wisked the batter.

After sometime, when the noddles had boiled , she asked a maid to put the choclate in the batter and whisk it more, while she added the sauces and proteins of her own choices in the pot of noddles.

After a while, the batter of the cake was ready, she put it in a container and then inside the oven and adjusted it’s temperature.

Her noddles by this time was already ready. So by the time, the cake took to bale, Ning Mei poured herself a bowl, and she sat on the kitchen counter, while she slurped on the noddles and talked to the maid and housekeeper who were helping her.

She asked them about Gu Yeze’s family and how they were in real life. Because from what she knew, the Gu family was not transparent at all about their personal life with the public.

She knew that Gu Yeze had a brother, Gu Yehan , and he also had a younger sister. But then again, Ning Mei did not know anything about the sister. She was even more secretive. Even her name was not public.

She had asked Gu Yeze about her and he told her that, his sister’s name was Gu Liya.
