Ning Mei had always protrayed her self as a strong girl who did not show her weak side to anyone. Because after what happened three years ago, she knew that showing her weak side only gave away in front of your enemies, and the ones who don’t want your good.
She would only be upset at most in front of other people. And even if she had to cry, she cried in silence in her room when she was alone.
Though, she was a drama queen and would fake cry sometimes, to make her work done, but she never shedded her real tears in front of anyone.
Gu Yeze stroked her head gently and said, " It is okay, Mei. It is fine. " He said it with so much gentleness that the group of people who were behind Gu Yeze standing, almost lost their balance and composure! What the ---
Who is this man speaking?! No! This can’t be Gu Yeze!
The group of people who followed Gu Yeze, were shocked. Gu Yehan, Wen Xiao, and the pair of main bodyguards, who followed Gu Yeze everywhere. They felt like their soul had just left their bodies. What in the stupid world was this?!
Ning Mei continued crying and Gu Yeze patiently consoled her, " What happened Mei, it’s okay isn’t it.? Tell me what is wrong ? "
Ning Mei raised her head from his chest and looked at him. Her eyes were puffy from crying. Gu Yeze could tell that she had been crying even before he came. And it pained his heart more.

Gu Yeze knew who she was talking about. She was talking about the brother she got from her adoptive family. The current CEO of Ning Group. Ning Jiming. Gu Yeze looked at the Operation theatre. The door was still closed. And he was still being operated.
Gu Yeze looked at his wife who was crying hysterically, and she said, " Yeze, I don’t know what to do. I even did not know whom to go. Yeze, do you know, how scared and confused I was! Yeze, what do I do.. I don’t want anything to happen to Brother. Yeze, I was late... "
Ning Mei was really so confused. She at that time felt so utterly helpless. Neither did she have anyone to rely on, nor she could call any one at home. Taking help from Gu Yeze did not cross her mind, as they were just recently married and she never had depended on him for anything. Infact, she did not even know Gu Yeze as much as he knew her without her own knowledge.
She knew she had to call Elder Ning and the Ning family as Ning Jiming met meet an accident. But as Ning Mei was so sure of who caused this accident, she could never inform it about it, atleast for now.
Gu Yeze kept strocking Ning Mei’s hairs carefully and gently. He then said, " Ning Mei, let’s go and sit okay. Or your legs would hurt by standing for so long." Ning Mei nodded and Gu Yeze took her to the waiting chairs nearby.
Both of them sat down and Ning Mei put her head on Gu Yeze’s chest. He gently held and and consoled her by patting on her head. " It’s okay. I am here now. No need to be scared or confused anymore. I will take care of everything. Alright. You don’t need to worry about anything else, okay. "
Ning Mei nodded her head. After a while, her sobbing stopped and she became quiet. Hearing this, Ning Mei suddenly looked up at him, and shook her head desperately. " No. " There was desperation in her voice and Gu Yeze could see a subtle hint of anger in her eyes too.
" Okay. As you wish. ". He said and Ning Mei again laid her head on his chest and relaxed herself. The operation took time, and in this while, Gu Yeze texted Wen Xiao in private, to find out what had happened with Ning Jiming. He did not say it loud, in case, Ning Mei did not want it or anything.
Gu Yehan and Wen Xiao simply looked at Ning Mei crying her heart out and Gu Yeze consoling her. They at this point understood two things. That, no matter how tough and cool Ning Mei portrayed herself to be, her close ones were her weak point. And the other thing that was the most dangerous issue, it was, now Gu Yeze has a weakness.
They only knew that now they had to be very careful.
Soon, Ning Mei fell asleep in Gu Yeze’s arms. He was such a safe haven for her. It’s so astonishing that, as soon as she saw Gu Yeze and was near him, all her confused, anger, fear, anxiousness, everything dispersed.
After Gu Yeze sensed that Ning Mei had fallen asleep, soon the door of the Operation theatre opened and the doctors came out. As soon as, the main doctor came out, he looked for the patient’s family, who was waiting outside. But all he saw was a man in all formal carrying her in his arms. And oh lord, he did not look simple at all! But a man of so much importance.
Gu Yeze looked at the doctor who was about to say something, but did not as soon as he saw him. He could make out from the faces of him and the other staffs who got out of the operation theatre that it was not any bad news.
So Gu Yeze simply turned to Gu Yehan and gave him a look, indicating him to handle the situation as Wen Xiao was currently not here as Gu Yeze had given him a task, and he was making some calls outside.
Gu Yehan nodded and Gu Yeze simply walked away with his wife in his arms.
