Chapter 175: SHE IS AT THE HOSPITAL
Gu Yeze turned towards Gu Yehan with a passive look on his face, not looking exactly as dangerous as he looked few minutes ago.
’ They way my face looks right now, may scare away my wife? Do I look so ugly? ’ Gu Yeze suddenly had this question amidst his other concerns and worries when he heard his brother’s words.
Gu Yehan on seeing that, Gu Yeze was actually paying attention to his words, he cleared his voice and said what he had to say more professionally, " See brother, I understand that Ning Mei had been childish and has pranked you really bad this time. She stood you up and did not even show up. She made you wait for more than two hours and did not even notify you about anything! Also, .... "
The more Gu Yeze listened to his brother’s blabbering, the more darker his face got! What the hell is this boy saying. Finally, not wanting to listen to his brother’s blabbering anymore, Gu Yeze said in a chilly, authoritative voice, " Shut up! " Wow, thanks to Gu Yehan, Gu Yeze’s already bad mood, worsened.
Gu Yehan readily shut his mouth. But he innocently blinked as his brother gave him a cold look and turned his face to look outside the window.
This man did not even realise that the words that he meant to say to defend Ning Mei were actually adding fuels to her already ’ wrong doings’ and it is striking Gu Yeze’s sore spot again.
But at the other side, Gu Yeze’s concerns were completely different. He did not really mind her not arriving to pick him up. M- Means he did. He did feel very bad, as he was really expecting Ning Mei to come and pick him up from the airport! But he this was not the reason for his worsening mood.
The fact that he was now in doubt, that something actually happened to his wife! He was not some narrow minded dumb man who lacked patience, and then blame or get mad at his wife without actually hearing her side from her own mouth.
On top of that, Gu Yeze did not marry an unknown woman. Okay, for Ning Mei or any other outsider, who knows about their marriage, ( except few like Gu Yehan and Wen Xiao), they might think that he had married her on impulse, out of nowhere. But he knew very well how much he loved her, and what she meant to him.
This wife wasn’t a stranger to him, for him to be suspicious of her acts. He could bet it that he knew her quite well. All these year he had kept all her updates, so that she doesn’t have any problem living there nor does she face any difficulty. And most importantly, to know her better.
And he could gaurantee that though his wife was mischievous sometimes, but this time she did not play any prank on him or anything.
He knew she loved him, she loved him a lot and he trusted her. And yesterday and today morning,vhe could tell by her tone, who excited she was to come and pick him up from the airport. She even said in her excitement that she missed him so much that she wanted that she would be the first person he would see after he landed. And somehow, he knew her excitement wasn’t fake at all!
Also, he had recieved her text, that she would be leaving home in a while after getting ready beautifully for him. So, he felt that there was no way, she would not come.
At the airport he decided to wait a little longer, because he was serious longing for her to come and pick him up from the airport. Fir her to hug him on the first sight. And he admitted that, that he was a little upset at first. Sohe texted Housekeeper Xu and he said that madam had left long ago. Gu Yeze also did not want to look like a patientless husband. What if she was stuck in some traffic or something.
But after a while, when she did not answer any of his calls, despite her phone ringing and it being more than an hour, Gu Yeze gave up his childish behaviour. He then asked Wen Xiao to locate Ning Mei. His gut said something was wrong.
He just hoped his wife is alright.
He had by hook and crook, inserted a chip, that was basically a tracker that could track her location anywhere, even if her phone was switched off or location was not active. He knew it was wrong, but he could not help it, especially after what had happened in America.
Everything was going well, and Gu Yeze used to get time to time update about Ning Mei’s wellbeing for the first two year.
But about, a nearly a year ago, Ning Mei said she wanted to go hiking and para gliding. Everyone knew in the organisation about Ning Mei’s newly developed obsession for extreme sports, so they let her. Also, she was good at it. And she also had her fair share of right to enjoy her life on her own will.
But the problem arised when a whole day passed without her contact with anyone. It never happened before. Ning Mei always contacted her known people time to time. But at that time, she was lost for a whole ten days.
At that time , Gu Yeze got so scared that he almost ordered his entire power to search for her. But was stopped by Si Jingli. Later So Jingli found her.
After that, Gu Yeze did not want to take any chance and ordered to insert a chip in her phone. But he always gave her privacy, and never used it untill now.
Soon, Wen Xiao passed Gu Yeze the ipad and he said, "Here, Sir. Madam’s location has been traced. "
Gu Yeze turned to look at his secretary and streched his hand and took the ipad, as Wen Xiao continued, " It shows that Madam’s currect location is at City Hospital. "
Gu Yeze’s actions visibly froze as soon as he heard the word, " Hospital ".
Even Gu Yehan was shocked to hear that she was at hospital! What was she doing at the hospital at this time! Did she meet any mishap on the way or why else would she be there.?! Or did she beat some one and take them to the hospital? Because... Knowing Ning Mei’s background, well that wasn’t so impossible, you know. But more than that, he really felt worried for her.
Wen Xiao also looked at his Boss with a worrying gaze. God knows what is Madam doing at the hospital right now? He could only pray nothing to happen to her. And this prayer was for everyone’s wellbeing.
Gu Yeze became eerily quiet, after he heard what Wen Xiao said. His eyes were stuck on the ipad screen where the red triangle indicating Ning Mei’s location tracker did not move at all.
