Gu Yeze listened to her words in daze. Each word touching the deepest nook of his heart.
’This silly girl, does she even know that she doesn’t even have to try to make his heart beat like crazy? Does she even know what she is for me? Does she even know that right now she is making him feel as if he is the luckiest man breathing? ’
Though, Gu Yeze’s emotions were running all turmoiled, yet his face was as stiff as a statue. Or in better words, his face was still stunned stiff. After a few seconds, as the whirlwind of emotions that had shrugged in his heart, that was caused by his wife’s sudden overwhelming surprise and words, had calmed down quite a little, he took a deep breath.
All this time, Ning Mei didn’t remove her hand from his face, neither did she have any intentions to do so. On the other side, even Gu Yeze let her hand be placed on his place, without even giving any indication for her to move it. Why would they even do that? They were clearly enjoying it.
The newly married couple continued staring into each others eyes. The breathtaking night view in front of them, yet that was completely casted aside, as if nothing could compare to what they were sharing through the eyes.
But the next second, a shiver ran from Ning Mei’s hand down her spine, when she suddenly felt Gu Yeze’s warm palms being placed on her slightly cold ones. After, he placed his hand on Ning Mei’s hand that was on his cheek, he gave her hand a little squeeze.
And this action, did take Ning Mei with a complete surprise. She was not expecting Gu Yeze to do that. The most she was guessing that, he would either brush it off, or just reply her with some affirmative words, like, ’okay’, ’alright ’, ’hmm.. ’.
Anything but not this small action. But even she didn’t know why, but that little action of his filled her heart with warmth. She didn’t know what was he thinking while doing that, or whether he was even thinking anything.
But to her, that action still felt as if he understood what she was trying to say. That moment, she just said and poured out everything that came into her heart. Be it emotions or words. She felt as if he could feel her and that he too felt the same way. That he...
But before her mind could go any further with its imagination, he internally shook her head rapidly.

Because she knew, once she started expecting a little too much from him, and once he would not be able to give it to her, she would be the one who will be hurt.
So for now, it was better for her to take baby steps and focus on her husband.
But all of her this efforts to keep her little heart in check went down the drain, once Gu Yeze opened his mouth. "You have all the time in the world. Take how many chances you need. I have already told you that once you are married to me, there is no going back. Neither me, nor you. Even if it is a loveless marriage, you will be stuck with me here. And that was it, though it wasn’t anything super romantic and what not. But Ning Mei’s cheeks still turned pink. In her ears, those words that were seemingly kind of threat, sounded like those mushy sweet nothings. And she didn’t know why... Ahh .. she loved it when he said that.
Seeing her now taking her turn to go in daze, with her face that turned pink, Gu Yeze raised his brows in surprise and supressed a smile that would just break out any moment.
Well.. He couldn’t believe that he ever so bold and forward wife was blushing right now. And he found this look of hers absolutely adorable. He looked at her face for a while longer, as she casted her eyes down... Maybe in her own world, and completely unaware of Gu Yeze’s thoughts. After savouring this extremely rare look, Gu Yeze held her hand that had dropped back by the side now and said in a gentle voice, "So... Shall we leave now? "
The love struck fool, Ning Mei, her mind still not being fully clear , from the bliss she was currently living, didn’t think about it so much and simply nodded.

And as much as Gu Yeze adored this look of hers, he did not like that his wife’s attention was not on him. No, it is not acceptable. It had to be on him, and no one else. Not even in her stupid world.
