She slightly shook her head because there is no way on Earth, that Gu Yeze called her what she heard. Her short -circuited ears heard that, he called her, ’love’. Also... She thought maybe he say something mushy..

She then took a deep breath and again turned towards Gu Yeze, who had his gaze stuck ahead, and asked ," Yeze, What did you just say me? Sorry.. I zoned out a bit, so did not hear. "
Gu Yeze, whose eyes were glued at the front, and who was actually busy biting his inner cheek to keep himself from laughing, swallowed hard and then slowly turned towards his wife. He intentionally called her that, to see her reaction when he saw that she was zoning out. And he could swear, that he was not disappointed at all. His little wife is so cute ! ! !
Wearing a expressionless face, that is most of the time struck on his handsome face, he stared at his wife. And that face somewhere showed innocence, as if he had no idea what she was taking about. Then he asked, "What happened? Did I say something wrong? "

But continuing his act and still maintaining that innocently nonchalant face he said, " I said, Shall we go home now? Why ? What did you hear? "
Ning Mei’s eyes narrowed further and she said in a suspicious tone, "Did... you really say that? "
Gu Yeze lightly shrugged his shoulders and said, "Yes. Why would I lie to you? Or perhaps did you hear something else? "
Ning Mei’s mind was convinced that he did say what he was saying. But her heart seemed to stuck to its own stupid delusion. She then slowly repeated in a low voice, " Are... You sure? "
Gu Yeze’s lips pulled into a smirk and he leaned a little forward and said, " Would you like me to book an appointment with a otolaryngologist , Mrs. Gu? I wouldn’t want my only wife to have hearing problems. "
Ning Mei’s eyes widened and she shook her head vigorously and said, "No, no, no, I am absolutely fine. My hearing is perfect! You don’t need to worry about it... " And all flustered she turned her head to stare out of the window. She didn’t know why was she behaving like this? Hell ! So contradicting to her usual self! She when did she start getting to flusterated. She is so unlike herself today.
Gu Yeze soundlessly chuckled and started the car.
Gu Yeze drove into his estate, as the security pulled the huge gates open. Halting the car, in front of the mansion, Gu Yeze turned to look at his wife, who was fast asleep on the passenger seat. The whole way, she didn’t utter a word, which was really surprising to him. And Gu Yeze wondered why was it so?
Was she embarrassed?
And this thought alone made him want to laugh. Gu Yeze stared at his Sleeping Beauty for a while long, before talking a deep breath and then he stretched his hand towards her face and tucked a strand of hair behind her ears.

Getting out of his car, Gu Yeze walked to the other side of the car, and opened the car. He then bent and slowly scooped Ning Mei into his arms gently before striding towards the mansion. His bodyguards stood at the safe distance from their master and mistress looking at them with no intentions to help of course. It was a private time between them.
Though, every single one of them were grown -ass men, no doubt. Yet, watching their boss carry a woman, a legit woman was just so disbelieving for them. So disbelieving, that they almost got chills.

You can’t blame them! That’s the ice demon king, Gu Yeze, we are talking about! The youngest, cunning and cold hearted industrialist and capitalist, who controls quite a considerable part of Asia’s economy.
