On hearing his words, that were literally the most dumbest thing she has ever heard, Ning Mei narrowed her eyes into slits as black lines drew all over her face.
Right now, Ning Mei’s hands were really itching to give a good smack on her newly wedded husband’s head to put some brains there. Is he a big fool! He had to be.
How does he even manage that huge multinational corporations? Or has he lost his mind by managing all that. She really wanted to know just who made him the CEO of Gu Corporations!!!!
How can he ask such a question?!
Ning Mei snorted and and said with a sarcastic smile, as she glared at Gu Yeze. "No. Actually I have got a couple more husbands, who will be arriving here anytime now. So this all is for them. I was just asking for your opinion."
Ning Mei pressed her lips together after saying that and waited for her husband’s reply.
Gu Yeze nodded his head understandingly and said, "Alright. It’s all very beautiful. Your husbands are surely going to love it. How about I leave to give you all some personal space."
Hearing this words coming out of Gu Yeze’s mouth, Ning Mei’s face went blank with her mouth gaping slightly open. ’Wait. What did he say? He is going to go?’
Ning Mei’s hands started trembling out of disbelief and anger. Thanks to her dumb husband. She asked him in disbelief, "You are going to leave?" Gu Yeze nodded his head. And then he heard her say again, "You are going to leave your wife and go? "
Gu Yeze nodded his head as a matter if fact and said, "Yes. Isn’t it what you are planning and what you want after all? "
Teasing his wife to the end of her wits, Gu Yeze was having a really good time. She made such adorable faces.
But the next moment, Ning Mei hid her face with her palms and literally burst out. "Ahhh!!! Meanie! A big heartless meanie! A big certified Idiot!!!! Dumb CEO!!!! "
Taken aback with the sudden curses in him, Gu Yeze asked, "What’s wrong? " Ning Mei raised her accusing eyes that were a little red by now and water glistening in it. And said, "You are asking me, what happened?! Couldn’t you say that I did all this for you? How can I have other men in my life when I love you so much!
I did so much for you, but you are here saying about giving me so stupid personal space with literally non existent men !!! You are so bad ! "
Now, Gu Yeze was seriously dumbfolded. Wait, did she think he was serious? Couldn’t she tell that he was just kidding? Oh Shit! He messed things up then. But when he saw Ning Mei’s tear filled eyes, he already knew that instant that he fucked things up because of his silly joke.
Panicking, he hurriedly kept the flowers by the nearby table and held her, "Hey! Don’t cry like this, alright. I was joking. I knew you did all this things for me and that you don’t have any other men in your life too. "
That moment, Gu Yeze couldn’t care any less about being a strong faced man, who didn’t have emotions of love for anyone and all that. Concern and care came running down his veins and was on full display without being veiled.
But Ning Mei shot her head up in disbelief asked as if she just heard that whale’s walk on air, "What? You can joke!? "
Gu Yeze had to take a few seconds to process her question. But then he couldn’t hold back his smile and asked with a chuckle, "Wife, I also a human with a normal working brain. And I also have my normal self. Can’t a joke a bit. " Ofcourse that only you can witness. He didn’t voice out his last thoughts, without any doubt.
Ning Mei nodded her head then and said, "Yes. Ofcourse, you can.... So you are not leaving right?"
"Ofcourse not. " He said without any hesitation.
And hearing this, Ning Mei’s eyes lit up and all the gloomy clouds that were hovering over head vanished away. And she said with a bright grin on her face, " So tell me, did you like all this?"
A small smile hung on Gu Yeze’s face as he ran his eyes across the room once again and then looked back at her. "I liked it. Infact very much. Noone has ever done this for me. " Well... What he said was partially correct. No women has ever done this for him romantically. Okay okay. To put it in a more correct way, he never gave a chance to anyone. Especially, after he met NIng Mei and fell for her.
And even before her, whenever his grandmother tried to set him up for a date with someone, that was rare, he made up the excuse of work or directly ended up for showing his face at all.
So yes, in a way, this was his first date. And the cream on top fact was that it was arranged by the love of life.
Ning Mei nearly went in trance when she hard his words. Like it. Very much. No-one has ever done it?! This mere words were enough to bright up her entire heart. She jumped in exictment and happiness and squealed, "Really?!!! "

Well, somewhere in her heart, Nibg Mei very well knew that Gu Yeze was just kidding and wasn’t really serious with his words. But still, a woman loses all her rational thoughts when it comes to the man she loves. Even the slightest thing affects her like bomb.
If NIng Mei’s friends would she get this way, they would really pule buckets of blood out.
Taking to the table, Gu Yeze kept the flowers on the table and when he was about to go to the other side of the table to pull out a chair for his wife like a perfect gentleman. It was his first date, though unplanned, still he had to give his best.
But Ning Mei already bet him to that, and before he could even more, she went to one chair and pulled it out for him. And with a handsome gesture said, "Here, husband. " For a moment, Gu Yeze forgot to react. He inwardly facepalmed himself. He now serously suspected that the two of them have swapped their roles.
She was doing all that he was supposed to do. And he here was enjoying all this like a pretty lady. But he couldn’t lie to himself that he was enjoying it was lot anyway.
Seeing him not move, NIng Mei held both her hands behind her back and walked to him in an adorable manner. Standing straight in front of him, she asked, "Are you thinking that when did we swap our roles? Like I am acting like a man in a relationship and you like a pretty lady? "
Gu Yeze’s eyes subtly widened on having his thoughts exposed just like that. Then he saw her chuckle and the next second, Ning Mei brought her hands up and cutely held his face. Then said, "Hubby, right now, I am doing the chasing. So I ofcourse have to make efforts.
Also, there is no stupid rule saying that the woman in picture can’t do all this. And a man only has to prepare a date and gifts for his partner. Let the girls have the fun too.
