Chapter 3864: Open Palm And Closed Fist
Chapter 3864: Open Palm And Closed Fist
Little Bull touched his stomach.
"Some are around there." High Elder Shatter Peak said helpfully.
High Elder Palm Saber looked at him.
"What?"
"He’s a village boy."
"He knows he has organs."
Little Bull nodded. "I’ve seen animal organs."
High Elder Shatter Peak smiled. "See?"
Peak Head Mountain Roar continued before the conversation wandered further. "The Five Treasures Realm is divided according to the refinement of these five organs. Each treasure must be tempered with vitality."
Little Bull listened.
"Usually, body cultivators require specialized techniques." Peak Head Mountain Roar explained. "The heart is delicate. The lungs are delicate. Every organ reacts differently to cultivation."
High Elder Palm Saber nodded. "One mistake can cause internal injuries."
"Correct." Peak Head Mountain Roar replied.
Little Bull looked slightly worried. "Will mine break?"
"No."
Little Bull immediately relaxed.
Peak Head Mountain Roar smiled. "Your situation is different. Your organs already possess immense vitality. They are stronger than the organs of many Immortals."
High Elder Shatter Peak crossed his arms. "So he already has the materials."
"Exactly." Peak Head Mountain Roar looked at Little Bull. "Imagine a poor man building a house."
Little Bull nodded.
"He buys one brick."
Little Bull nodded.
"Then another brick."
Little Bull nodded again.
"He spends years buying bricks and slowly builds his house."
"Sounds tiring," Little Bull said.
"It is." Peak Head Mountain Roar replied. "That is how ordinary body cultivators enter the Five Treasures Realm."
Little Bull looked at himself. "And me?"
"You already have a mountain of bricks."
Little Bull’s eyes widened. "Where?"
High Elder Shatter Peak turned away while High Elder Palm Saber covered his face finding it hard to not laugh.
Peak Head Mountain Roar remained remarkably patient. "Inside your body."
"Oh."
"You simply need to assemble them."
Little Bull nodded. "That’s easier."
"Much easier." Peak Head Mountain Roar agreed.
Lin Mu was genuinely impressed by the analogy as the Peak Head was utterly correct.
Lin Mu’s body already possessed absurd amounts of vitality. The Abyssal Horizon Veil Seal hid his cultivation base, though it did nothing to remove the fundamental strength of his body.
All Lin Mu needed to do was gradually adjust the displayed state of his vitality. The Primordial Path gave him the perfect excuse.
High Elder Shatter Peak soon asked another question. "What about combat skills?"
Peak Head Mountain Roar glanced at him. "Combat skills?"
"He needs something to fight with." High Elder Shatter Peak replied. "Should we choose specific techniques for him?"
Little Bull raised his hand. "I learned some yesterday."
The three Elders looked at him.
"What did you learn?" High Elder Palm Saber asked.
"Stone Skin Guard. Charging Bull Shoulder. Multiplying Fist Technique."
High Elder Shatter Peak nodded. "Good choices."
"I broke six trees." Little Bull added.
High Elder Shatter Peak smiled proudly. "Excellent."
"With Charging Bull Shoulder." Little Bull clarified.
High Elder Shatter Peak’s smile widened. "Even better."
Peak Head Mountain Roar stroked his beard. "He can practice whatever he wants."
High Elder Palm Saber raised his brows. "Anything?"
"Anything within his current access." Peak Head Mountain Roar replied. "The truly valuable body cultivation skills become relevant after reaching the Immortal Realm."
"Immortal Essence." High Elder Palm Saber understood.
Peak Head Mountain Roar nodded. "Vitality is powerful. Immortal Essence changes everything."
Little Bull listened carefully.
"Until then, let him explore."
Peak Head Mountain Roar looked at Little Bull. "Go to the library."
"I already did."
"Go again."
Little Bull blinked.
"Pick whatever skills interest you."
"Anything?"
"Anything you can access."
"What if I don’t like it?"
"Stop practicing."
Little Bull tilted his head. "And pick another?"
"Yes."
Little Bull smiled while Lin Mu was even happier internally. This was far better than he had expected. He had been given complete freedom to browse the Wild Peak’s library. He could study techniques, experiment with skills and could abandon them whenever he wished.
There would be no Elder constantly checking whether he had followed a specific cultivation path.
Peak Head Mountain Roar leaned back. "Your physique allows you to make mistakes that others cannot afford."
Little Bull scratched his head. "That’s good?"
"Very good." Peak Head Mountain Roar replied. "You have time."
High Elder Palm Saber nodded. "We don’t need you fighting our battles right now."
Peak Head Mountain Roar smiled. "We are in the Open Palm state."
Lin Mu paused and Little Bull looked confused. "Open palm?"
High Elder Shatter Peak nodded seriously. "Open Palm."
"What does that mean?"
High Elder Palm Saber answered this time. "It’s our state of alertness."
Little Bull continued staring while High Elder Palm Saber raised his hand.
His palm remained open. "Open Palm means peace."
Little Bull nodded.
"We can slap people around." High Elder Palm Saber continued. "Sometimes they need it."
High Elder Shatter Peak nodded. "Many people need it."
"But we shouldn’t kill them." High Elder Palm Saber added.
Little Bull looked at the open palm. "So slapping is okay?"
"Usually."
"How hard?"
High Elder Palm Saber paused.
High Elder Shatter Peak answered. "Depends on how annoying they are."
Peak Head Mountain Roar nodded.
Lin Mu felt that this was probably an official Wild Peak interpretation rather than an official sect rule.
Little Bull then clenched his fist. "And Closed Fist?"
The atmosphere changed as High Elder Shatter Peak grinned and High Elder Palm Saber smiled. Even Peak Head Mountain Roar’s old eyes gleamed.
High Elder Palm Saber slowly clenched his own fist. "Closed Fist means the time for slapping is over."
Little Bull stared at him as High Elder Shatter Peak cracked his knuckles. "It means we punch."
"And?" Little Bull asked.
High Elder Palm Saber smiled wider. "We crack skulls."
Little Bull’s eyes widened while Peak Head Mountain Roar laughed.
Lin Mu finally understood. The Wild Peak had somehow reduced the sect’s entire state of military readiness into two hand gestures.
Open Palm = Peace.
Slapping permitted.
Closed Fist = War.
Skulls permitted.
’Of course they did.’ Lin Mu thought.
Xukong’s laughter echoed within his mind. ’You truly found the right peak.’
Lin Mu could not disagree.
