Chapter 3863: Marinate Meat To Cultivate
Chapter 3863: Marinate Meat To Cultivate
Lin Mu understood immediately, as what the Peak head described was a basic characteristic of vitality.
Unlike Qi, vitality was deeply connected to the physical state of the body. Even ordinary mortals possessed it, though their vitality was considerably weaker and they had no conscious control over it.
Peak Head Mountain Roar tapped Little Bull’s shoulder. "Right now, your body possesses enough vitality to surpass several cultivation stages."
High Elder Shatter Peak grinned. "I knew it."
Peak Head Mountain Roar continued. "But your vitality is scattered."
Little Bull frowned. "Scattered?"
"Uneven." Peak Head Mountain Roar clarified. "Some parts of your body contain more vitality. Others contain less. The vitality flows according to your body’s natural needs."
Little Bull slowly nodded. "So I have to stop it?"
"No." Peak Head Mountain Roar replied. "Never stop vitality from flowing."
Little Bull nodded again.
"What you need to do is saturate your body."
Little Bull tilted his head.
Peak Head Mountain Roar thought for a moment. "Imagine soaking meat in sauce."
Little Bull’s eyes immediately brightened while High Elder Shatter Peak burst out laughing and High Elder Palm Saber nodded seriously.
"Good example."
Peak Head Mountain Roar continued. "If you pour sauce over meat once, the outside gets covered."
"Yes." Little Bull replied.
"But the inside stays plain."
Little Bull frowned deeply. "That’s bad."
"Exactly." Peak Head Mountain Roar said.
Lin Mu almost laughed. Peak Head Mountain Roar had somehow managed to explain an ancient body cultivation path through marinated meat. The worst part was that the explanation was surprisingly accurate.
"You let the meat sit in the sauce." Peak Head Mountain Roar continued. "Slowly, the flavor enters deeper."
Little Bull nodded eagerly. "Until all of it tastes good."
"Correct."
High Elder Shatter Peak looked impressed. "Peak Head, you should teach more often."
"I do."
"No, I mean using food."
Peak Head Mountain Roar stroked his beard. "Perhaps."
High Elder Palm Saber looked slightly worried about the future of the Wild Peak’s cultivation lectures.
Peak Head Mountain Roar placed his palm against Little Bull’s back again. "Your vitality is the sauce."
Little Bull nodded. "Your body is the meat."
Little Bull nodded again.
"You need to let the vitality slowly saturate every part of your body."
"Until I’m tasty?"
Peak Head Mountain Roar paused while High Elder Shatter Peak covered his mouth and High Elder Palm Saber’s shoulders shook.
"Until your body is fully tempered." Peak Head Mountain Roar corrected.
"Oh."
"Now close your eyes."
Little Bull obeyed and Lin Mu focused inward. Peak Head Mountain Roar released a tiny pulse of vitality into Little Bull’s body. It moved through his muscles in an extremely basic pattern. Lin Mu immediately recognized the method.
’This really is primitive.’ Lin Mu thought.
There were no complicated circulation routes, and no special meridians were involved. There were no breathing rhythms, chants, hand seals, or visualization methods.
One simply gathered vitality. Then one guided it toward a specific part of the body. After that, the vitality was allowed to remain there naturally. The body absorbed whatever it could. The rest continued flowing.
It was almost absurdly simple.
Peak Head Mountain Roar guided the vitality toward Little Bull’s right arm. "Feel that?"
"Yes." Little Bull replied.
"Hold the vitality there." Lin Mu did so.
Peak Head Mountain Roar paused and his brows rose slightly. "You already know how to control vitality?"
"A little." Little Bull replied.
The Peak Head observed him carefully and saw that Lin Mu kept the vitality gathered within his arm. Of course, controlling vitality was incredibly easy for him.
The Absolute Body Control Art gave Lin Mu control over practically every physical process within his body. And guiding vitality was something he had done countless times. Peak Head Mountain Roar had no way of knowing that.
The old man smiled. "Your physique must grant instinctive vitality control."
Lin Mu remained silent.
’That’s a useful explanation.’ He thought.
Xukong chuckled within his mind. ’Your mysterious physique is becoming increasingly convenient.’
Lin Mu agreed.
Peak Head Mountain Roar removed his hand. "Try it yourself."
Little Bull nodded and Lin Mu slowly moved his vitality. He deliberately made the process slightly clumsy. The vitality gathered within his left arm, then his right leg and then his chest. Peak Head Mountain Roar watched carefully.
High Elder Shatter Peak leaned forward and High Elder Palm Saber also observed. Little Bull continued as several minutes passed until finally Peak Head Mountain Roar finally nodded.
"Good."
Little Bull opened his eyes. "That’s it?"
"That’s it."
Little Bull blinked.
High Elder Shatter Peak laughed. "I told you our cultivation is simple."
High Elder Palm Saber looked at him. "Your technique has three thousand seven hundred circulation routes."
"Simple."
"You needed four hundred years to learn it."
"I was young."
Peak Head Mountain Roar raised one hand and the two High Elders became quiet.
"Continue doing this." Peak Head Mountain Roar told Little Bull. "Part by part. Saturate your body with vitality. Once a section is fully tempered, move to another."
"How do I know when it’s done?" Little Bull asked.
"You’ll feel it."
Little Bull frowned. "What does it feel like?"
Peak Head Mountain Roar thought. "Full."
Little Bull stared at him. "Like after eating?"
"Similar."
Little Bull nodded but Lin Mu understood what the Peak Head actually meant.
A body cultivator would naturally sense when a section of their body could no longer absorb vitality efficiently. Once the saturation point was reached, the vitality would begin flowing away instead of settling within the tissue.
The Primordial Path relied almost entirely upon natural instinct. For an ordinary cultivator, this method would be painfully slow. But for Lin Mu, it was perfect.
Peak Head Mountain Roar sat back upon his throne. "You have already completed the thirteen stages of the Body Tempering Realm."
Little Bull nodded. "After that comes the Five Treasures Realm."
"Five treasures?" Little Bull asked.
Peak Head Mountain Roar raised one hand and extended five fingers.
"Heart." One finger lowered.
"Lungs." Another finger.
"Kidneys." Another.
"Liver." Another.
"Spleen." The final finger lowered. "These are the Five Treasures of the body."
