Virtual Idol in the Beast World: Five Clans Fight Over Me

Chapter 449 - 393: What Kind Does She Want?

Chapter 449: Chapter 393: What Kind Does She Want?

The Beastman attendant froze mid-yawn. "What kind is she looking for?"

The front desk receptionist said, "She wants someone strong, not too handsome, and not gaudily dressed. In short, not your type."

The Beastman attendant: "..."

The receptionist chuckled. "It was the Birdman with that young lady who called for room service. He’s not exactly winning her over, so he definitely can’t let anyone else woo her away."

"Hah. That bird has it out for me."

The front desk receptionist said, "Hurry up. He said he wants several people, so he probably didn’t like the ones in the brochure. Haven’t you hired some new people these last couple of days? Pick seven or eight decent-looking ones and send them over."

The Beastman attendant hesitated. "Those guys haven’t been taught the rules yet, and they haven’t signed their contracts. I’m afraid they’ll cause trouble."

The front desk receptionist said, "Just pick a couple of the more stable, quiet ones and stick them in the group."

At that moment, a Beastman sitting in a corner of the lobby reading a newspaper turned his head and glanced at them.

...

"Miss, what do you think of them? I guarantee they’re strong enough. They won’t disappoint you."

The Beastman attendant offered a perfectly measured smile and, one by one, introduced the eight young, strapping males he had brought to the lady before him.

"He’s from the Bear Clan, they’re from the Wolf Clan, these two are from the Dog Clan, and these two are from the Sea Clan..."

Gu Ning clutched the bath towel wrapped tightly around her head, her eyes widening slightly as she stared at the row of tall, muscular Beastmen before her.

Philinos had just told her that room service would be coming to help groom Cook’s fur, but when the door opened, a crowd of strange Beastmen flooded in, giving her quite a scare.

If Philinos hadn’t been there, she would have grabbed the little dog and run.

"These two..." Philinos said, pointing at the two from the Dog Clan.

The Beastman attendant smiled and was about to speak when he heard Philinos say, "Get out."

One of the two from the Dog Clan looked disappointed, while the other couldn’t help but curse:

"Who the hell are you? Did anyone ask you to choose, you damn bird?!"

The bodyguards outside deftly dragged the man away.

"These two," Philinos said, pointing to the two from the Wolf Clan. "You too, get out."

Seeing half the men dismissed, the Beastman attendant glanced at the lady sitting there. "Aren’t you going to let the miss choose for herself?"

Gu Ning: ’I wouldn’t dare.’

Philinos lowered his hand and looked down at Gu Ning. "Ning, do you want to choose?"

Gu Ning coughed, then lowered her voice to call to the little Cook, who was lying at her feet, gnawing on a bone treat. "Cook."

’Since the service was called for Cook, he should be the one to pick someone he likes. Otherwise, he might resist when they try to blow-dry his fur.’

Cook dropped the bone and trotted over to lick her.

"Cook, how about we let them blow-dry and brush your fur?" Gu Ning whispered, her lips close to Cook’s ear.

"Awoo..." ’I don’t like anyone other than Ningning blow-drying my fur. I don’t like it when Barto does it, either. He’s always so rough.’

But he knew Ningning would get tired, and he couldn’t get close to her when his fur was wet.

Cook picked up his bone, intending to walk away and wait for his fur to dry on its own. But as his eyes swept over the remaining Beastmen, he sat back down and tilted his head, staring quizzically at one of them.

"Miss, you can pick whichever one you like," the Beastman attendant said. He was puzzled to see the lady letting the Mixed Breed beside her choose instead of picking one herself, but he was worldly enough to quickly compose himself and give her a gentle reminder.

Gu Ning’s gaze swept over the remaining four. ’Any of them are fine by me,’ she thought. ’As long as they can dry and brush Cook’s fur, that’s all that matters. He hasn’t had a proper bath and brushing in days, and his fur is getting a little matted.’

Seeing the Beastman attendant watching her with a constant smile, his face practically screaming "Hurry up and pick!", Gu Ning sized up the Beastmen again. She pointed at the one on the end who kept his head down and hadn’t glanced at her once.

As it happened, Cook also walked over and sat down beside him.

"It seems he also clicks with your... family member." Seeing her pick the quietest one, the Beastman attendant thought to himself, ’I guess I was wrong. This is the type she likes after all.’

Philinos dismissed one more that he didn’t like the look of. Then, he pointed. "You."

He was pointing at the Beastman attendant.

The Beastman attendant smiled. "I’ll be on my way."

"Do you know how to groom fur?" Philinos asked.

The Beastman attendant’s mind raced. He turned to the young lady. "My technique is more professional than theirs. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed."

Hearing this, Gu Ning thrust the hairdryer and comb into his hands. "Well then, I’ll leave it to you."

The Beastman attendant was looking at the wisp of damp hair peeking out from her towel, about to reply with a smile, when he saw her pull the Mixed Breed in front of him.

The smile on his lips froze. A bad feeling welled up inside him.

"Hurry up," Philinos ordered the group. "Help him get his fur brushed out. Use the best fur care products."

After he spoke, everyone except for the one Gu Ning had picked—the Beastman attendant and the other two—wore dazed and shocked expressions.
