The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 714: Stop Getting Handsy

Chapter 714: Chapter 714: Stop Getting Handsy

Mrs. Yves nervously dialed Rory Yves’s phone.

"Roxy, where are you right now?"

"Out having fun. What is it?"

"Roxy, send your location to me," Mrs. Yves explained. "The police said they have a few more questions for you."

On the other end of the line, Rory Yves snapped, "Are they nuts? I already told them everything crystal clear. What the hell else is there to ask!"

Mrs. Yves’s tone was gentle. "Roxy, I know you’re upset, but we have to cooperate with the police. Send me your address first. I’m with the police now, and we’ll come pick you up."

"I don’t want to!" Rory Yves’s voice was filled with impatience. "I already made plans with my friends to do an escape room!"

Mrs. Yves glanced at Renee Jennings and the others, then got up and walked to the balcony. "Roxy, can’t the escape room wait? Let’s take care of what’s important first. Don’t you want that scumbag who hurt you to go to jail?"

Rory Yves asked, "Is there something they can’t just ask me over the phone?"

"I don’t think so," Mrs. Yves said. "Be good now. I’ll make it up to you later. Wasn’t there a Chanel bag you had your eye on? I’ll buy it for you."

For the sake of the bag, Rory Yves finally, reluctantly, agreed. "Fine, fine. This is so annoying."

Mrs. Yves hung up the phone and returned to the living room. "Roxy is at Elysian Mall right now."

After the police car had been waiting outside Elysian Mall for nearly half an hour, Rory Yves finally deigned to appear.

She was dressed nothing like a high school sophomore, with a full face of exquisite makeup and an outfit that was both sexy and mature.

The moment she got in the car, Rory Yves started complaining. "So, what else do you need to ask? I thought I already made myself perfectly clear!"

Luna York, who was driving, heard her and explained softly, "There’s been a new development in the case. We need you to cooperate by answering a few more questions."

As soon as she spoke, the car fell dead silent.

Rory Yves’s eyelashes fluttered. Gripping her phone tightly, she bit her lip and asked, "Officer, what kind of new development?"

Only after asking did she notice the small cage resting on the lap of the woman in the front passenger seat. Inside were two Sugar Gliders.

Rory Yves stared at them for a moment, then turned to her mother and asked in a low voice, "Mom, don’t those two Sugar Gliders look a lot like..."

"They’re the ones you’re raising," Mrs. Yves whispered back. "That woman is some kind of special consultant the police hired. They say she can communicate with animals."

’She can communicate with animals?’

Rory Yves bit her lip, her gaze fixed thoughtfully on the front passenger seat.

When they arrived at the station, Luna York led Rory Yves to the door of Interrogation Room 3.

"Officer, I don’t think this is where we talked last time..." Rory Yves felt a knot of panic form in her stomach.

"Things are different this time." The look Luna York gave her was complicated. "Go on in."

Rory Yves asked nervously, "What does that mean? How are things different?"

Luna York gave a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. "You’ll find out in a minute. Get inside."

"I..." A hesitant expression crossed Rory Yves’s face. "Can’t we go to the other room, the one from last time? Not in here?"

"And why not?" Luna York asked.

"I don’t like it," Rory Yves said in a low voice.

"It’s fine. No need to be afraid." Luna York stepped inside first. "Come on."

Rory Yves slowly, deliberately, dragged her feet as she entered.

"Have a seat," Luna York said with a smile. "Want some water?"

Rory Yves pressed her lips together and shook her head.

"Okay." Luna York nodded and left Interrogation Room 3.

Carmen Lane carried two hot coffees into the conference room, placing them next to Renee Jennings and Sheryl Sawyer. Her eyes twinkled with a thirst for gossip.

"Well? Did you find anything out?"

Renee Jennings took two sips of her coffee just as the conference room door was pushed open again.

Luna York strode in and raised an eyebrow at Carmen Lane. "Where’s mine?"

"Hold on, coming right up," Carmen Lane said as she walked out.

She quickly returned with two more cups. "Rider Lane at your service, coffee delivered! Please enjoy, and have a wonderful day!"

With that, she sidled up to Renee Jennings. "Consultant Jennings, come on, tell us! Is that Clarence Sawyer really such a monster?"

"No." Renee Jennings shook her head and said softly, "Rory Yves is lying."

As she said this, the mood in the room grew heavy, and everyone’s expression turned grim.

"So Rory Yves really was lying," Luna York said with a frown. "But why would she slander Clarence Sawyer like that? What could she possibly gain from it?"

Renee Jennings put down her coffee and explained slowly, "It’s just as Clarence Sawyer said. Rory Yves confessed her feelings to him, he rejected her, and this is her deliberate revenge."

"Oh my god," Carmen Lane gasped. "How could a kid do something like that?"

Sheryl Sawyer couldn’t help but add, "So this is one of those ’if I can’t have you, I’ll destroy you’ situations?"

Luna York said, "I noticed her mother seems to walk on eggshells around her. I’m honestly speechless."

Renee Jennings continued, "The Sugar Gliders told me that Rory Yves had actually been harassing Clarence Sawyer for a long time. He had tried to quit by speaking with her mother, but Rory refused to let him go. Because his salary had been paid in advance, Clarence had no choice but to keep tutoring her."

"During every lesson, Rory Yves would never focus and would constantly be touching him."

"Clarence Sawyer warned her, but it was no use. Rory Yves wouldn’t listen at all, and in fact, she became even more aggressive."

"Those condoms weren’t bought by Clarence Sawyer. They were brought by Rory Yves..."

During their lesson the day before yesterday, Clarence Sawyer had warned Rory Yves to keep her hands to herself.

Rory Yves did stop touching him, but only to shove a handful of condoms into his arms. "Brother Ethan, can you check if I got the right size for you?"

When Clarence Sawyer realized what they were, he was horrified. "Rory Yves, have some self-respect!"

"Brother Ethan," Rory Yves laughed. "You’re so cute when you’re embarrassed."

Clarence Sawyer’s face darkened, his voice filled with anger. "Have you no shame at all? Are these things a girl your age should be doing and saying?"

Perhaps provoked by his words, Rory Yves’s expression instantly turned sour. "Clarence Sawyer, are you trying to lecture me on how to behave?"

Clarence Sawyer’s expression was cold and stern. "Rory Yves, let me be clear. I am here to tutor you. If you don’t want to learn, then please tell your parents. I would be more than happy to refund their money."

"Is that right?" Rory Yves sneered. "So you hate coming here to teach me, then?"

Clarence Sawyer replied, "I only teach students who want to learn."

"Oh, but I do want to learn," Rory Yves said, tilting her head as her eyes scanned his body from top to bottom. She broke into a taunting smile. "It’s just that the things I want to learn... you’re not willing to teach me, are you, Tutor?"

As she spoke, she lifted her foot and rubbed it against Clarence Sawyer’s leg. "Tutor, why don’t you... reconsider...? I’ll make it worth your while~"

Clarence Sawyer felt she was utterly beyond help. "Believe me when I say I will tell Mr. and Mrs. Yves everything you’ve done."
