Chapter 667: Bringing Different Men Home
Chapter 667: Chapter 667: Bringing Different Men Home
Billionaire Budgie cowered in DailyQuitter’s palm, letting out a short, trembling chirp. He sounded wronged and pitiful. "Good heavens, that’s Zephyr! You expect me not to be scared?"
"Scared of what?" Zephyr’s tone was full of disdain. "You don’t look like you have much meat on you. I wouldn’t bother eating you."
Renee Jennings: "..."
’He’s getting picky with his food now? Even a budgie isn’t good enough for him?’
When Billionaire Budgie heard Zephyr’s voice, he quietly breathed a sigh of relief. His little body wasn’t trembling as violently anymore.
’Phew, that scared me to death.’
Renee Jennings turned to look at Zephyr.
Meeting her gaze, Zephyr tilted his head and asked brazenly, "What are you staring at me for?"
Renee Jennings just shook her head helplessly and looked back at her phone screen.
"Billionaire, don’t be afraid," she said gently. "Can we continue our chat?"
Billionaire Budgie was confused. "What?"
Renee Jennings: "Billionaire, do you know Winnie?"
Billionaire Budgie glanced toward the door. "Winnie is outside."
Renee Jennings: "When Teddy goes to work, what does Winnie do at home?"
Billionaire Budgie tilted his head and thought for a moment. "Sometimes Winnie goes out, and sometimes she brings two-leggers back to play."
Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow. "What does she play with the two-leggers she brings home?"
Billionaire Budgie then proceeded to describe, in his own unique way, a scene not suitable for minors.
Renee Jennings’s long, thin eyebrows furrowed tightly as she listened.
[The streamer’s expression looks a bit serious]
[Haha, why are Ms. Jennings’s brows getting more and more furrowed?]
Watching Renee Jennings’s expression and the bullet comments, Teddy suddenly felt a deep sense of foreboding.
Billionaire Budgie: "I’m done talking. That’s what happened."
Renee Jennings nodded, a slight smile playing on her lips. "Okay, I understand. Thank you for your hard work, Billionaire."
Only then did DailyQuitter press, "Ms. Jennings, what did Billionaire say?"
Billionaire Budgie had just chattered on for several minutes, so Renee Jennings summarized it all in one sentence: "Teddy, Billionaire says Winnie often brings different men home to have sex."
[Holy shit, I thought bringing a boyfriend home was bad enough, but she’s bringing back different guys...]
[This girl is pretty wild.]
[Is she juggling multiple guys, or is she making money this way?]
[You hit the nail on the head. Don’t let a nice house turn into a brothel!]
The bullet comments made DailyQuitter’s expression turn even uglier. She frowned tightly. "Did Winnie really bring different men to my house to do... that?"
Renee Jennings nodded slightly. "That’s what Billionaire said."
In that moment, DailyQuitter felt utterly disgusted. "How could she be so disgusting?"
Just then, the doorbell rang.
"Everyone, please wait a moment. I’m going to see who it is," DailyQuitter said before getting up, opening her bedroom door, and walking out.
Winnie had already opened the front door and seemed to be talking to someone there.
She must have heard the footsteps behind her, because she turned her head, a flash of panic crossing her face. "Teddy, what are you doing out here?"
DailyQuitter’s expression was grave. "Who’s here?"
"No one." Winnie glanced back at the person at the door and said, "You have the wrong place."
As soon as she finished speaking, she hurriedly shut the door. The smile on her face was frozen as she mumbled an explanation, "It was just someone who got the wrong address."
"Is that so?"
"Yeah, what else could it be?"
"Okay." DailyQuitter turned to go back to her room, but when she heard the doorbell ring again, her steps faltered.
Winnie’s face paled. She said hastily, "They’re probably lost. I’ll go help them find their way."
Without waiting for DailyQuitter’s response, she pulled open the door and ran out.
As the door closed, DailyQuitter faintly heard a man’s voice. She felt like Winnie might be in some kind of trouble.
’Of course, this was none of my business.’
Back in her room, she casually mentioned what had just happened.
A flicker in her eyes, Renee Jennings said softly, "Billionaire, go downstairs and see what kind of trouble Winnie is in."
But Billionaire Budgie shook his little head. "I don’t dare! I’m scared there’s a falcon out there."
The little guy was clearly traumatized by the scare.
Renee Jennings was hesitating, wondering how to coax Billionaire, when Zephyr, perched on the back of the chair, suddenly spoke up. "You’re not going? Then I’ll fly over and eat you right now."
Billionaire Budgie quickly changed his tune. "I’ll go, I’ll go! I’m going right now!"
Zephyr nodded in satisfaction. "That’s more like it."
Renee Jennings: "..."
Billionaire Budgie flapped his wings. "Where should I go?"
Renee Jennings thought for a moment and said, "Teddy, can you open the window and let Billionaire go take a look?"
"Okay." DailyQuitter opened the window and watched Billionaire fly out. "I wonder if Billionaire will forget the way home."
"He should remember." Renee Jennings figured the little guy knew the outside world was dangerous and would be sure to remember his way home.
"That’s good." DailyQuitter breathed a sigh of relief, then said anxiously, "I wonder if those shady people might have secretly installed hidden cameras in the house."
Renee Jennings agreed it was necessary to be cautious. She gently suggested, "You definitely need to be careful about that. You could have your parents come with you and hire a professional to do a full sweep."
"Okay." DailyQuitter nodded. "I understand."
Renee Jennings smiled, pressing her lips together, and asked, "Besides Billionaire saying strange things, is there anything else that’s seemed off to you?"
"Yes," DailyQuitter began to explain slowly. "I often smell smoke in the house when I come home from work, and there are cigarette butts in the trash can... Also, a photo frame on my wall has been moved... and I’ve found suspicious, short, curly hairs on my bedsheets."
[Wait, sis, you don’t lock your bedroom door when you go to work?]
[Don’t tell me they did it on your bed? That’s even more disgusting...]
DailyQuitter instantly felt like she’d swallowed a fly. "Just thinking about it makes me want to throw up... I don’t lock my bedroom door. Sometimes Winnie borrows my makeup and clothes."
[Sigh, she has such a good friend in you, but she doesn’t cherish it.]
[You silly girl, you’re too trusting!!!]
Renee Jennings frowned and reminded her, "Are there any valuables in your room?"
"Valuables?" DailyQuitter thought for a moment. "I keep any jewelry worth over ten thousand in the safe. The other pieces, worth a few hundred or a few thousand, I just leave on my vanity."
’She wouldn’t go as far as to steal, would she?’
At this thought, DailyQuitter opened her safe and took a look. Everything inside was untouched.
She then checked the jewelry on her vanity and said with a frown, "It looks like some of my gold pieces are missing."
Meanwhile, Billionaire Budgie flew downstairs. After circling around, he finally located a man and a woman standing under a tree.
The woman was Winnie, the one staying at his house.
The man looked familiar. He’d seen him and Winnie take their clothes off to ’fight’ before.
