The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 666: Don’t Tell Secrets in Front of It

Chapter 666: Chapter 666: Don’t Tell Secrets in Front of It

Listening to DailyQuitter, Renee Jennings raised her slender eyebrows slightly. "How long has your friend been staying with you?" she asked.

"It’s been almost four months," DailyQuitter sighed. "She had found a job and a new apartment and was about to move out, but the day before she was supposed to leave, she came to me in tears, saying her boss was sexually harassing her."

"And so she didn’t move out, right?" Renee Jennings asked.

"Right." DailyQuitter’s tone grew more helpless. "She was crying constantly, so to comfort her, I said that finding a good job takes time and she shouldn’t rush to move out. And as a result..."

"And as a result, she never moved out, right?" Renee Jennings asked.

DailyQuitter nodded. "Right."

[Even the best of friends will have conflicts if they live too close.]

[Couldn’t find a decent job in four months? Is it really that hard to find work these days? I’m graduating soon, this is making me so anxious!]

[She probably isn’t trying very hard. Has she even sent out any resumes?]

[She’s been living there for so long, has she ever offered to contribute to living expenses?]

DailyQuitter looked at the stream comments and explained, "Actually, whether she finds a job or contributes to expenses, I don’t really mind. We’re good friends, after all, and I’m happy to help her."

[Girl, if you’re putting her up for free, you gotta put me up for free too!]

[Send me the address, my bags are already packed.]

[If you don’t mind, then why did you call in to the stream?]

Renee Jennings asked softly, "Teddy, what is it that’s bothering you?"

Hearing Renee Jennings’s question, DailyQuitter’s expression suddenly turned serious. "Ms. Jennings, I have a pet white-collared mynah, and ever since my friend moved in, it’s been saying all sorts of strange things."

"Strange things?" A hint of curiosity appeared in Renee Jennings’s eyes. "What has it been saying?"

DailyQuitter opened her mouth, then seemed too embarrassed to speak. "It’s... things you’d hear when a couple is being intimate."

Renee Jennings could see she was too embarrassed to say it, so she suggested, "Teddy, why don’t you write it down?"

"Okay." DailyQuitter picked up a piece of paper, grabbed a pen, and started scribbling furiously.

[Oh baby, hold me tighter!]

[Wifey, you smell so good???]

[Hubby, love me now!!!]

[Wow, you’re really stacked...]

The viewers posted their guesses of what DailyQuitter was writing as comments on the main screen.

DailyQuitter glanced at the comments, her face flushing with embarrassment. She quickly explained, "When I was living alone, Billionaire Budgie never said such weird things. That’s why I suspect my friend is secretly bringing men over to do... *that kind of thing*... in my apartment after I leave for work..."

[That’s totally out of line!]

[Your friend has zero boundaries. Can’t they just get a hotel room?]

[I’d also be super uncomfortable with a couple doing *that* in my house...]

[This is simple. Just secretly install a security camera and you’ll find out.]

DailyQuitter frowned. "I’ve actually considered secretly installing a camera, but it feels wrong. And if I did end up recording... private videos, it would be mortifying..."

[But it’s your place! You have every right to install a camera.]

[Come on, Teddy, don’t be so principled. Your friend is the one bold enough to do that in your house.]

[It’s true that people with too many principles always get the short end of the stick.]

[A classic case of being too nice for your own good.]

"It’s okay. If you don’t install a camera, you won’t have to see anything that burns your eyes," Renee Jennings comforted her. "Teddy, do you want me to confirm things with Billionaire Budgie?"

DailyQuitter nodded eagerly. "Yes, I am. I’m in my room, and Billionaire Budgie is in the living room. I’ll go get him."

"Okay," said Renee Jennings.

DailyQuitter went into the living room and saw her friend, Winnie, lying on the sofa playing with her phone.

Seeing her emerge, Winnie glanced over and asked casually, "Teddy, what’s for dinner?"

"I haven’t decided yet," DailyQuitter replied, then took Billionaire Budgie the mynah back to her room.

As soon as they were in the room, Billionaire Budgie the mynah repeated the question, "Teddy, what’s for dinner."

DailyQuitter returned to the camera, the white-collared mynah perched on her pajama-clad arm.

The white-collared mynah was easy to identify. It had a yellow beak and feet, jet-black feathers, and a neat white ring around the back of its neck, as if it were wearing a snow-white collar.

It shook its wings, revealing faint specks of white down under its black plumage.

[I gotta say, that little white-collared mynah is quite a looker.]

[Are mynahs easy to care for? I’m thinking about getting a pet too, hehe~]

DailyQuitter saw the comment and patted Billionaire Budgie’s head, smiling. "I don’t think they’re too difficult. Mynahs are very adaptable, so as long as you’re attentive, even a beginner can care for one."

Like a little recorder, Billionaire Budgie repeated, "Even a beginner can care for one."

[Haha, that’s actually pretty cute.]

[Guess you can’t tell any secrets in front of him. He’ll just turn around and blab them to everyone.]

[Mynah: What bad intentions could I have? I’m just a very fast learner~]

Renee Jennings chuckled softly and asked, "Teddy, what’s your friend’s name?"

Before DailyQuitter could answer, Billionaire Budgie piped up first, "Winnie, Winnie."

DailyQuitter nodded. "Yes, her name is Winnie."

[Whoa, amazing little mynah!]

[With this little guy around, you really don’t need to install a camera.]

[The comment above is only true if you can actually get on the stream like this.]

Renee Jennings’s gaze fell on the little fellow on the screen, her voice softening. "Hello, Billionaire Budgie. My name is Renee Jennings. It’s a pleasure to meet you."

Billionaire Budgie tilted his head. "Pleasure? How much of a pleasure?"

A smile crept into Renee Jennings’s eyes. Just as she was about to reply, Zephyr the peregrine falcon suddenly swooped in from the crimson-streaked sky, flew through the open patio door, and landed steadily on the back of the chair behind her.

The moment Billionaire Budgie saw the newcomer, his eyes widened in sheer terror. He let out a piercing shriek and fluttered frantically behind the phone to hide.

The scene sent the viewers in the chat into fits of laughter.

[Hahaha, Billionaire Budgie’s reaction was so fast! I didn’t even get a clear look at what was behind the host!]

[I know it’s horrible to laugh at this, but I can’t help myself.]

[Props to the mynah’s keen survival instincts!]

Zephyr, the peregrine falcon on the chairback, narrowed his eyes. "What the heck was that? What was that thing squawking just now?"

He hadn’t noticed Billionaire Budgie on the screen at all.

Renee Jennings softened her tone to soothe Billionaire Budgie. "Billionaire Budgie, don’t be afraid. Zephyr can’t hurt you. He’s very, very far away from you."

DailyQuitter’s eyes crinkled with amusement. She couldn’t resist flipping her camera to show everyone Billionaire Budgie, huddled in a corner of the desk with his wings wrapped tightly around himself, still trembling in fear.

[I feel so bad for him, but this is also hilarious, hahaha.]

[Don’t be scared, Billionaire Budgie, Zephyr can’t eat you.]

Zephyr finally noticed the mynah on the screen and scoffed in disdain. "Oh, it’s just a mynah. Wouldn’t even be enough to get stuck in my teeth!"

DailyQuitter couldn’t bear to see her little Sonny so terrified. She reached out to stroke him soothingly. "Don’t be scared, Billionaire Budgie. I’ll protect you."
