Chapter 641: The Bad Woman Is Talking Nonsense
Chapter 641: Chapter 641: The Bad Woman Is Talking Nonsense
"What do you mean?" Serena Summers asked, confused. "Does Koko not like the name?"
"That’s right," Renee Jennings said directly. "She says it’s your ex-boyfriend’s name, and she wants a name of her own."
Serena Summers: "..."
She pouted. "She’s just a cat. Why is she so demanding?"
Renee Jennings’s brow furrowed, and her tone became more serious. "A kitten is a living creature, too. It deserves to be respected and cherished."
Serena Summers had only gotten a cat because she was bored. Respect and affection? The thought had never even crossed her mind.
’But since Renee Jennings put it that way, I guess we’ll change it.’
"So what name does she want?"
Renee Jennings asked Koko, "Do you have a name you’d like?"
Koko blinked her feline eyes and said blankly, "I don’t know either. Miss, can you help me think of a name?"
Renee Jennings’s gaze fell on the cat’s pinkish skin. A thoughtful look crossed her eyes, and she smiled. "How about we call you Pinky?"
"Meow? Pinky?" Koko’s eyes shone as she repeated the name in a murmur. "Meow... Pinky... MEOW! Yay, I love this name!"
"Alright then." Renee Jennings snapped her fingers, grinning. "From now on, you’re Pinky."
Seeing the other cat get a new name, the black-and-white Devon Rex still in the carrier grew restless, scratching frantically with its little paws.
"MEOW! I want a new name too!"
Renee Jennings looked over, raising an eyebrow. "Sonny, you want a new name too? What’s your name?"
As she spoke, she opened the carrier and cradled the curly-haired cat in her arms.
"MEOW! My name is Thunder, and I hate it! It sounds awful!"
’Thunder?’
Renee Jennings frowned. "That name really doesn’t suit you."
’What kind of adorable little kitty gets named Thunder? That’s even worse than Koko.’
She looked up at Serena Summers. "You have an ex-boyfriend named Thunder, don’t you?"
Serena Summers nodded. "Yeah. Did Thunder tell you?"
Renee Jennings said, "The kitten wants a new name. He doesn’t want to be called Thunder."
This time, Serena Summers didn’t complain. She said casually, "Then change it, I guess."
The curly-haired cat stared hopefully at Renee Jennings. "Meow~ Miss, can you pick a name for me too, please?"
Truth be told, Renee Jennings was terrible at coming up with names.
She stared at the curly-haired cat, thinking hard for a moment. "Hmm... how about Dottie?"
"Meow? Dottie?" The curly-haired cat nodded its little head emphatically. "MEOW MEOW MEOW! Yes, yes! I love that name! I want to be Dottie!"
Seeing that he liked it, Renee Jennings breathed a sigh of relief, a faint smile gracing her lips. "Are you two hungry? Want something to eat?"
Pinky and Dottie had eaten before they left home, so they weren’t hungry right now. They both shook their little heads.
"Okay then, just let me know if you get hungry," Renee Jennings said with a smile. "Now, there’s something I’d like you to help me with."
Pinky and Dottie really liked Renee Jennings. Hearing she needed help, they immediately showed their enthusiasm.
"MEOW! Pinky will definitely help!"
"MEOW! Dottie will help too!"
The two little cats sat obediently on the coffee table.
Renee Jennings pointed a hand at Serena Summers and asked, "Pinky, Dottie, this is your owner, right?"
Pinky and Dottie nodded their little heads in unison.
Renee Jennings asked again, "Does she go out drinking often?"
Pinky and Dottie continued to nod.
Renee Jennings’s gaze fell on Serena Summers. "Miss Summers, can you tell me about what happened when you woke up that day?"
Serena Summers paused mid-sip of her coffee. She set the cup down, glanced at Michelle Fuller beside her, and then began, "When I woke up, my head really hurt. It felt so heavy..."
「That day, she had slept until dusk, and the entire room was pitch black.」
Serena Summers’s head was throbbing uncomfortably. She lay still for a while to recover, then fumbled around the bed for her phone, but she couldn’t find it anywhere.
She had no choice but to throw back the covers and get out of bed.
A sudden chill hit her, and an uncontrollable shiver ran through her body.
Looking down, she discovered she was completely naked, without even a stitch of underwear on.
Serena Summers screamed, utterly thunderstruck.
"What happened last night?" she cried, clutching her head, feeling devastated and lost.
Although she was an open-minded girl, that didn’t mean she had no boundaries or was willing to be raped while unconscious.
Serena Summers was in a complete panic. She screamed in her room for a long time before she gradually calmed down.
She got dressed and took a taxi to the hospital for an examination.
When the results came back, she breathed a sigh of relief, but the knot of anxiety in her chest didn’t go away.
Even if she hadn’t been raped, she had definitely been violated.
’Who brought me home and stripped off my clothes, piece by piece?’
She often got drunk, but this was the first time something like this had ever happened.
Serena Summers asked the friends she had been drinking with that night, but every single one of them said they were drunk and didn’t know who had taken her home.
She later went to the property management office to check the security footage and discovered that a male classmate had brought her home.
Serena Summers had someone find the classmate’s WeChat and confronted him, demanding to know what he had done to her that night.
But the classmate insisted he hadn’t done anything.
Serena Summers didn’t believe him at all.
A friend of hers told her about an incredible online streamer who could communicate with animals. Since she happened to have two cats, the friend suggested she connect with the streamer to find out what really happened.
The night Serena Summers was watching the stream, she saw Michelle Fuller in the chat and immediately called Mrs. Fuller.
After listening to Serena Summers’s story, Renee Jennings analyzed it carefully. "So, you believe the guy who took you home molested you while you were drunk?"
Serena Summers nodded emphatically, her voice full of conviction. "Yes. No matter how drunk I’ve gotten before, nothing like this has ever happened. He must have done something to me."
"I understand. I’ll ask them for you." The words had barely left Renee Jennings’s mouth, and before she could even address the two cats, she heard Pinky’s voice.
Pinky: "MEOW MEOW MEOW! Oh my god, oh my god, the bad woman is talking nonsense!"
"Bad woman?" Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow, curious. "Is your owner a bad woman?"
Dottie replied, "MEOW MEOW MEOW! Yeah, yeah, she always says she’s a bad woman, and her boyfriends have said she’s a bad woman too."
Renee Jennings was puzzled. "Why?"
Pinky: "The bad woman says, ’Good women get a good reputation, but bad women get everything.’ So she wants to be a bad woman."
Renee Jennings: "..."
’So that’s how it is.’
’I have no words.’
She then asked, "Well then, Pinky and Dottie, can you tell me what really happened that night?"
"Meow~ Of course~" said Pinky. "That Oppa brought the bad woman home and was about to leave, but the bad woman grabbed his leg and wouldn’t let him go."
"Oppa?" Renee Jennings blinked. "The guy’s name is Oppa?"
Dottie: "Meow~ I heard the bad woman keep yelling ’Oppa, Oppa’~"
Renee Jennings pressed her lips together, tilting her head slightly to look at Serena Summers as a faint suspicion began to form in her mind.
