Chapter 638: I Am Sean’s Fiancée
Chapter 638: Chapter 638: I Am Sean’s Fiancée
A disastrous fate?
Yvonne Morgan frowned slightly, wondering if she had misheard. She asked uncertainly, "Sean, what did you say our fate was? I didn’t hear you clearly."
"You didn’t hear me?" Sean Fuller stood up, walked over to her, and said loudly, "I said we have a disastrous fate!"
The gentle smile on Yvonne Morgan’s face froze. Her eyelashes fluttered, and she forced a calm tone. "Sean, are you joking with me?"
Sean Fuller also squeezed out a smile. "You said it was love at first sight, that you love me, and you want to marry me and spend the rest of your life with me, right?"
A sense of unease churned within Yvonne Morgan, but she slowly nodded. "Yes."
Sean Fuller raised an eyebrow. "Well, what a coincidence."
Yvonne Morgan froze for a moment, then breathed a sigh of relief.
She was sure Sean Fuller liked her.
’A pity he’s not very bright.’
Yvonne Morgan secretly curved her lips into a smirk. Just as she was about to say something, a vaguely familiar voice cut in.
"Hank, how do you know her?" Michelle Fuller asked, feigning surprise as she pointed at Yvonne Morgan.
Renee Jennings stood beside Michelle Fuller, and Yvonne Morgan caught a flicker of surprise in her eyes as well.
"Sean, and these two are?" Yvonne Morgan stood up, intimately linking her arm with Sean Fuller’s.
Michelle Fuller frowned. "I’m his sister. What’s your relationship with my brother?"
Yvonne Morgan was inwardly smug, but she put on a bashful expression. "I’m Sean’s fiancée. We’re getting married soon."
Just then, Sean Fuller pried Yvonne Morgan’s hand off in disgust and frowned. "I wasn’t finished with what I was saying. Don’t go making plans on your own."
Hearing this, Yvonne Morgan’s heart skipped a beat and her expression faltered. "What do you mean? What are you trying to say?"
"I said it was a coincidence," Sean Fuller explained. "A coincidence that I disliked you from the very first moment I saw you. I find you repulsive and have no intention of marrying someone like you."
"You..." Yvonne Morgan’s eyes widened in astonishment, her voice laced with disbelief. "That’s not what you said on WeChat! Were you lying to me?"
"Did he say he liked you on WeChat?" Michelle Fuller blinked curiously, then began to laugh. "Miss Morgan, don’t be so hasty. My brother didn’t actually lie to you. The person you were chatting with was me."
Yvonne Morgan’s face turned ashen. "So you ganged up to make a fool of me?" she snapped.
"Don’t make it sound so ugly." Michelle Fuller pouted, feigning innocence. "If you have to blame someone, blame yourself for your own wicked intentions."
Yvonne Morgan was so angry her fists clenched, her heart filled with indignation and rage. "Renee Jennings, you’ve gone too far!"
"Have I gone too far, or were you just too clever for your own good?" Michelle Fuller sneered. "Did you think my brother was a gullible fool? He is a fool, but he has two smart sisters."
Sean Fuller: "..."
Yvonne Morgan was about to lose her mind with rage.
’Why did it turn out like this?’
’She was supposed to be the one enjoying Renee Jennings’s downfall, so why was she the one who ended up a joke?’
Renee Jennings warned in a placid voice, "Yvonne Morgan, I suggest you drop all your malicious ideas, mind your own business, and stay away from the people around me."
With that, she looked at Michelle Fuller and Sean Fuller. "Let’s go. We shouldn’t disturb the other diners."
"Let’s go," Michelle Fuller nodded, smiling as she linked arms with Renee Jennings.
Sean Fuller obediently followed.
Rage surged in Yvonne Morgan’s heart, driving her to the brink of insanity. She desperately wanted to grab the knife and fork in front of her and stab Renee Jennings with them over and over again.
But the last shred of her sanity told her she couldn’t do something like that in public.
’There are plenty of other ways to get revenge on Renee Jennings!’
Yvonne Morgan took a deep breath, repeatedly telling herself to calm down.
She raised a hand to smooth her hair, ignoring the surrounding gazes, and maintained her last shred of dignity as she prepared to leave.
She had only taken a few steps when a waiter stopped her.
"Ma’am, please wait a moment."
Yvonne Morgan frowned, looking at him with displeasure. "What is it?"
The waiter said politely, "Here is the bill. If you would please settle the payment."
Yvonne Morgan: "..."
**
The moment Sean Fuller got in the car, he asked excitedly, "Can I delete Yvonne Morgan’s WeChat now?"
"You may," Michelle Fuller approved.
Sean Fuller furiously tapped away on his phone, and after putting it down, he instantly looked refreshed and relieved. "Ah, that’s better."
Sitting in the back seat, Michelle Fuller patted his shoulder and said earnestly, "Hank, be a little smarter from now on. Don’t get love-struck the moment you see a girl."
"I know," Sean Fuller sighed. "I won’t dare do it again."
Michelle Fuller didn’t believe him for a second.
’I’ll just have to keep a closer eye on him and be ready to analyze any new situation.’
"Where to now?" Sean Fuller asked, holding the steering wheel.
Renee Jennings glanced at the time. It was only eight o’clock.
She said softly, "Let’s find a mall and buy some clothes for Willow and Glenn."
"Alrighty," Sean Fuller immediately agreed.
The three of them got more and more carried away in the children’s clothing section.
Michelle Fuller: "I have to pick out a few outfits for Zane and Jasmine."
Sean Fuller: "Me too."
Seeing the small mountains of clothes they had picked out, Renee Jennings quickly reminded them, "Okay, okay, don’t buy too much. Kids grow so fast, they’ll outgrow them in no time."
"Good point!" Michelle Fuller nodded, taking the advice. "Then let’s not buy too much this time. We can just buy more again in a little while."
Even though they said not to buy too much, the final bill still came out to tens of thousands.
When they returned to Eastgate Villa, the children were all asleep.
Michelle Fuller stretched, plopped lazily onto the sofa, and was just about to order Sean Fuller to get her a bottle of water from the fridge when her phone suddenly rang.
She glanced at the caller ID and answered the phone. "Hello, Mom."
On the other end of the line, Mrs. Fuller was sitting on a leather sofa in her living room. "Michelle, why aren’t you and Sean home? Auntie Warren told me you two haven’t been back for days."
Michelle Fuller explained, "Yeah, Hank and I have been staying at Renee’s place for the past couple of days. It’s more lively here."
"Aren’t you bothering Renee’s family?" Mrs. Fuller asked worriedly.
"Not at all!" Michelle Fuller’s tone was cheerful. "Renee’s family has been very welcoming to Hank and me!"
"That’s good, then." Mrs. Fuller was relieved.
"Mom, are you home now?"
"I just arrived. Auntie Warren told me Ginny hasn’t had much of an appetite these past couple of days."
Michelle Fuller, who had been lounging lazily on the sofa, shot up like a bolt. "What’s wrong with Ginny? Is she not eating?"
Renee Jennings and Sean Fuller both frowned and looked over at her.
Mrs. Fuller said from the other end of the line, "Auntie Warren said Ginny’s eating less than she was a few days ago. We’re observing her, but if she still doesn’t eat, I was going to ask if you wanted to take her to the vet."
"I’m going back right now!" Michelle Fuller whipped her head around to look at Renee Jennings.
Before she could even speak, Renee Jennings offered, "I’ll go back with you guys."
"Okay!" Michelle Fuller was so worried the rims of her eyes turned red. She blamed herself, saying, "This is all my fault. I was so busy having fun that I just left Ginny at home."
