The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 636: Not Interested in Romance

Chapter 636: Chapter 636: Not Interested in Romance

Renee and her group accompanied Spicy and Tina to get their luggage, then saw them safely to their hotel.

By the time they arrived at Eastgate Villa, it was deep into the night, the clock pointing to ten.

"Drive safe," Renee said before getting out of the car, watching as it disappeared into the night.

The moment she stepped into the courtyard, her eyes met Sean Fuller’s resentful gaze.

Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow. "Sean, what’s wrong?"

"Renee, Yvonne Morgan is harassing me again. She’s been trying to get me to meet her for the past two days!" Sean Fuller said with a long face. "What should I do?"

Michelle Fuller, who was swinging on the nearby swing set, was happy to add fuel to the fire. "So meet her. What’s there to be so upset about?"

"Yeah," Renee agreed. "Just meet her."

Sean Fuller’s eyes widened in disbelief. "You guys aren’t kidding, are you?"

Renee nodded solemnly. "We’re being very serious."

Michelle: "That’s right!"

"Then you have to go with me when I meet her!" Sean Fuller added worriedly.

"Of course we will," Michelle said with a mischievous grin. "This will be more fun than a comedy."

Sean Fuller handed over his phone. "Then you guys reply to her. Just set up the time and place for the meeting."

Michelle took the phone with a mysterious smile. "No problem. Just leave it to me and prepare to be miserable."

Sean: "..."

Meanwhile, Yvonne Morgan was in the small apartment she had bought back in college, a wine glass in one hand and her phone gripped tightly in the other.

She was waiting for Sean Fuller’s reply.

Aria Sinclair had been ruthless. Not only had she sold the villa, but she had also made all the high-society young masters and misses in Zenvia who knew her avoid Yvonne like the plague.

The group of "sisters" she usually hung out with had all vanished as if they had evaporated into thin air.

Now, Sean Fuller was her only remaining hope.

’It’s all that useless woman Zoe Morgan’s fault!’

’Why did she have to tell the truth about what happened that day?’

At this thought, Yvonne Morgan’s expression turned utterly foul, and she was so angry she felt like smashing her wine glass on the floor.

But she held back. There were no servants around to take care of her now; if she smashed it, she would have to clean it up herself.

Just as she was stewing in her anger, her phone suddenly chimed with a WeChat notification.

Yvonne Morgan’s eyes instantly lit up, and she excitedly unlocked her phone.

Just as she’d hoped, it was a reply from Sean Fuller.

He had agreed to meet, and had even set the time and place.

Yvonne Morgan was very pleased, and she couldn’t help but feel thankful that she had made a move on Sean Fuller back then. Otherwise, she might not have even had a single escape route now.

She feigned composure and replied to Sean Fuller with three words: [See you tomorrow.]

Yvonne Morgan tilted her head back and finished her wine, a calculating look flashing in her eyes.

She had already made up her mind. Tomorrow night, she would use any means necessary to get pregnant with Sean Fuller’s child!

The next day, when Renee woke up, the first thing she did was check her private messages on Weibo.

Preston Page hadn’t replied.

’I wonder if he even saw my message.’

’Celebrities must get tons of private messages. How am I going to get in touch with Preston Page?’

"Renee, what are you spacing out about?" Michelle Fuller asked as she opened her eyes and saw Renee’s pensive expression.

Renee said softly, "I want to contact Preston Page."

"Preston Page?" The name sounded familiar to Michelle. She thought for a moment. "Isn’t he the one who stars in *DreamingLotus*? That’s the show Aunt Rae has been binge-watching lately."

"Yes," Renee nodded. "That’s him."

Michelle blinked in surprise. "Renee, is that your type of handsome guy now?"

"What are you thinking?" A helpless smile touched Renee Jennings’s lips. "It’s not that he’s my type. He’s Leo’s owner."

"Leo?"

"Leo the Maine Coon. Have you forgotten?"

"Oh, oh, oh!" Michelle slapped her forehead. "Now I remember! Preston Page left Leo with a friend, and that friend used Leo to pry into Preston Page’s private life!"

"Right," Renee said. "I feel it’s necessary to tell him."

"True," Michelle readily agreed. "How about I ask a friend of mine who’s in the entertainment industry if anyone knows Preston Page."

"Would that be a bother? If it’s too much trouble, I’ll think of another way."

"No trouble at all. Let’s go get breakfast first."

After breakfast, Michelle sat down on the sofa and exclaimed, "The six degrees of separation theory really is true!"

"What theory?" Sean Fuller asked, glancing at her curiously.

Michelle proudly held her phone out to Renee. "Renee, look! I got Preston Page’s WeChat."

"Preston Page?" A look of astonishment appeared on Sean Fuller’s face. "Why didn’t you just ask me for his WeChat? I have it."

"You have his WeChat?" Michelle gritted her teeth. "Why didn’t you say so earlier?"

Sean Fuller looked innocent. "You never asked."

In truth, he had only just added Preston Page on WeChat in the last couple of days. He had a feeling Rhea Dempsey was quite fond of the young man and wanted to get his autograph for her.

Knowing she was in the wrong, Michelle could only roll her eyes.

Sean asked curiously, "Were you guys also trying to get an autograph for Aunt Rae?"

"No," Renee explained as she added Preston Page on WeChat. "I need to talk to him about something else."

Sean: "Renee, you don’t mean you’re..."

Before he could finish, Renee cut him off. "Of course not. I’m not interested in romance right now."

"Then what are you interested in?" Sean asked.

Rhea Dempsey joined the "group chat." "At your age, you should be dating. It’s the prime of your life! If you’re not interested in romance, what are you interested in? *The Art of War*?"

Renee picked up the remote, turned on the TV, and switched to the *Animal World* channel. A familiar opening line drifted out, "Welcome to today’s..."

Rhea Dempsey sighed helplessly.

A little while later, Renee saw that Preston Page had accepted her friend request and sent a text message.

Preston Page: [Ms. Jennings, hello. I’ve heard a lot about you. May I ask, did my Leo really have the honor of connecting to your livestream?]

Renee hadn’t expected him to know who she was.

’This is good, too. It’ll save a lot of trouble.’

Renee typed out what Leo had told her and sent it to him as a text message.

Ten minutes later, a voice message came from Preston Page. His tone was solemn. "Ms. Jennings, thank you for going out of your way to tell me the truth. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. I will definitely take this matter seriously and won’t be so quick to entrust Leo to others in the future."

Renee replied with a text as before: [You’re welcome. Leo is a very good boy. Remember to give him a reward.]

When Preston Page sent another message after that, Renee didn’t reply. She had already done her part.

Preston Page was on set filming. During a break, his assistant noticed that he looked upset.

"Ian, what’s wrong? Did something happen?"

Preston Page tightened his grip on his phone, his voice cold and heavy. "I’m going back to Zenvia tomorrow."

"Huh?" The assistant was baffled. "Why the sudden trip back to Zenvia? You still have scenes to shoot."

"Then I’ll take a leave of absence," Preston Page said, his tone firm. "I’m going back to get Leo."
