The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 434: Ended Up Dating a Scammer

Chapter 434: Chapter 434: Ended Up Dating a Scammer

Renee Jennings had originally planned to sleep in the next day, but she got a call from Sean Fuller right before bed.

She suddenly remembered that the situation with Yuri Sullivan was still unresolved.

"Hank."

Sean Fuller chuckled. "Renee, my sister said you were still up, so I took the liberty of giving you a call."

"Are you calling about Chad?" Renee asked.

Sean Fuller: "Renee, you’re brilliant. Chad has been really anxious these past few days, but my sister said you were busy with work and told me not to bother you. I was wondering if you’re almost done with your work?"

Renee smiled. "I’m free tomorrow. You can ask him to meet."

"You got it!" Sean Fuller immediately agreed. "My sister and I will come pick you up tomorrow, then. What time is good for you?"

"Let’s say two o’clock."

"Okay, see you tomorrow afternoon. Good night, Renee!"

After hanging up, Renee lay in bed playing on her phone when she noticed a new friend request on WeChat.

She tapped on it and saw that the person’s profile picture was an artistic photo of Zoe Morgan.

Renee didn’t accept the friend request. She switched to her Moments feed, scrolled for a bit, then put her phone down to sleep.

When she woke up the next day, she found several more friend requests from Zoe Morgan.

Renee ignored them again. After washing up, she went downstairs for breakfast, then drove Zane and Jasmine to the supermarket.

She got home a little after one, just as Rhea Dempsey was getting ready to put her two precious grandchildren down for a nap.

"Mom, I’m going out with Michelle in a bit," Renee called out to their retreating figures as they went upstairs.

Rhea Dempsey glanced back at her. "Alright. Be careful on the road."

At two o’clock sharp, Michelle Fuller and Sean Fuller arrived at Eastgate Villa to pick her up.

It was the same teahouse. Yuri Sullivan was already waiting inside. The moment he saw Renee, he hurried over to greet them. "Renee, Sister Michelle, you’re here."

"Sorry, Chad, I had work the past couple of days," Renee explained after sitting down. "Hank told me you were getting anxious?"

"It’s because Flora keeps asking me to go on a trip with her." Yuri Sullivan looked mortified. "We’d probably have to stay together if we traveled, and it makes me sick to my stomach to think she might be someone else’s wife."

"It’s not ’might be.’" Renee’s tone was firm. "Dora Archer is, in fact, someone else’s wife. She’s been married for eight years."

"Dora Archer?" Yuri Sullivan stared at her blankly. "Who’s Dora Archer?"

Renee: "Your girlfriend. You didn’t know her name is Dora Archer?"

"No." Yuri Sullivan shook his head. "She told me her name was Dolly Archer and that she’s twenty-three. If she’s been married for eight years, then she..."

A look of shock spread across his face. "No way, she got married at fifteen?"

"You..." Michelle Fuller said, exasperated. "Is it possible she lied to you, and she’s not actually twenty-three, but twenty-nine?"

"She’s twenty-nine?" Yuri Sullivan’s eyes widened in disbelief. "For real?"

"For real." Renee nodded, her clear eyes looking at him earnestly. "Do you have feelings for her?"

Hearing this, Yuri Sullivan frowned and thought for a long moment before replying, "Of course I have feelings for her, that’s why I’m with her. But if she approached me with an ulterior motive and has been deceiving me, then I’ll withdraw my feelings."

"Nice!" Michelle Fuller gave him a thumbs-up and said with admiration, "You know when to hold ’em and when to fold ’em. I respect that."

Sean Fuller: "..."

’Why is my sister such a show-off?’

Renee raised an eyebrow slightly, surprised that Yuri Sullivan could be so rational and clear-headed.

"Actually, I’ve been thinking about this for the past few days." Yuri Sullivan’s expression turned serious. "I came here today prepared for the worst. If Flora is really deceiving me, then I guess I’m lucky to have found out this early."

"You have a very clear perspective on this," Renee said, also giving him an appreciative look.

Yuri Sullivan gave a shy smile. "Thanks for the compliment."

He quickly poured tea for everyone, then asked, "Renee, Sister Michelle, so what do you think I should do? Should I break up with Dora Archer, or just delete her from WeChat and block her number?"

Renee smiled faintly at him and said gently, "Chad, we actually had another idea in mind, but it would require you to put yourself in a difficult position."

"What is it?" Yuri Sullivan looked puzzled.

Renee explained, "What Dora Archer is doing is illegal. Besides you, she’s wrapped other people around her finger. The police are taking this very seriously, and we can’t just let Dora Archer continue to harm others."

"Huh?" Yuri Sullivan was stunned for a few seconds before asking in surprise, "The police know about this too?"

"Yes." Renee nodded, her tone serious. "I’ve already reported it to the police. The information on Dora Archer came from their investigation."

Yuri Sullivan hadn’t expected the situation to be this serious. He’d just been trying to date and ended up with a scam artist.

His face grew solemn. "Renee, what’s this plan you mentioned? As long as it helps catch the scammer, I don’t mind being inconvenienced a little."

Hearing him say that, Renee explained the plan she had discussed with Sawyer and the others.

After listening to her, Yuri Sullivan’s face flushed red. He was both flustered and embarrassed. "You want me to actually get a room with her...?"

"Yes," Renee said. "That’s the only way to gather evidence. Of course, if you’re not willing, that’s fine too. We can try to think of another way."

"I..." Yuri Sullivan was extremely awkward. "I’ll think about it."

"Okay." Renee looked at him with a gentle gaze. "Let us know once you’ve made up your mind."

Yuri Sullivan nodded helplessly. "Got it."

The four of them had dinner together. Yuri Sullivan ate absentmindedly and ended up paying the bill.

Renee and Michelle Fuller were going to hang out at Sylvia Brooks’s house, so Sean Fuller drove them there.

When the car reached the entrance of the residential community, Sean Fuller eagerly got out to open the door. "My two princesses, will you need me to pick you up later?"

If they did, he wouldn’t drink at the gathering with his friends later.

"No need." Michelle Fuller waved her hand. "You go have your fun. We’re not going home tonight."

"Got it." Sean Fuller grinned. "Then I’ll walk you in."

Michelle Fuller shot him a look but let him walk in with them.

Just as they entered the community, someone walked toward them.

Renee’s gaze happened to fall on that person.

When Yvonne Morgan saw her, she froze for a moment. Then, remembering how she had accidentally connected to the livestream, her expression immediately soured.

Her hand clutching her purse tightened. She pressed her lips together, forcing a calm expression as she walked past them.

Renee’s face was serene, a faint, barely-there smile playing on her lips.

After brushing past Renee, Yvonne Morgan couldn’t help but stop and look back, a deep hatred surfacing in her eyes.

’Why, after being reborn, is Renee living so well?’

’Is this even the original world?’

The Morgan Family’s attitude toward her had become increasingly distant lately, and she was furious.

After seeing the two "sisters" off, Sean Fuller was heading back to the community entrance when someone suddenly approached him to talk.

"Hi, sir. My phone is dead and I can’t call a car. Would it be okay if I charged it in your car for a bit?"
