Chapter 347: She Is Brother’s Real Sister
Chapter 347: Chapter 347: She Is Brother’s Real Sister
Yvonne Morgan lowered her gaze, looking listless and dejected.
Zoe Morgan’s heart ached for her. She insisted, "I still think we should eat somewhere else."
"Aunt Zoe." Vincent Morgan’s dark brows knitted together in slight displeasure. "We’re eating here. There’s nothing wrong with it."
Yvonne Morgan spoke timidly, "Aunt Zoe, we don’t have to move. It’s nice here."
Hearing this, Zoe Morgan felt even more sorry for her. "Yvonne, you’re such a good girl."
Renee Jennings casually flipped through the menu, paying them no mind.
Michelle Fuller, however, overheard their conversation and couldn’t help but glance over. She suddenly thought the man looked quite familiar.
The two of them were still looking at the menu, deciding to wait for Sylvia Brooks to arrive before ordering.
Renee Jennings checked the time and was just about to call when she saw Sylvia Brooks walking over, holding two bouquets of flowers.
"Summer," she said, waving.
Vincent Morgan hadn’t expected Sylvia Brooks to be here too.
Sylvia Brooks also hadn’t expected to walk into a scene like this.
Just one table away from Renee Jennings and Michelle Fuller were...
She sat down next to Renee and Michelle, her beautiful eyes filled with disbelief. "Is this a novel?"
Renee Jennings’s lips curved. ’Isn’t it, though?’
"Summer, did you get two bouquets today?" Michelle Fuller’s eyes sparkled with gossip. "Two suitors competing at the same time?"
Sylvia Brooks laughed. "Michelle, what is that brain of yours thinking? I bought these for you and Renee."
"You bought them for us?" Michelle said, pleasantly surprised. "How thoughtful!"
Renee was also surprised, then she said with a grin, "I love it."
"I love it too," Michelle chimed in.
"These are the dishes we’ve picked out. See if there’s anything you want to add." Renee held the flowers in one arm and draped the other over Sylvia’s shoulder. "It’s my treat today, so order whatever you want."
"Alright," Sylvia Brooks said, covering her mouth to hide a giggle. "Then I won’t hold back."
While their table was full of joy and harmony, the expressions on Zoe Morgan and Yvonne Morgan at the next table were not pretty.
Vincent Morgan’s entire attention was on the table next to them, listening to the three girls’ conversation.
He could understand why Renee Jennings ignored him.
Because Renee didn’t know he was her biological brother.
’But why is Sylvia Brooks treating him like a stranger, too?’
Vincent Morgan wrestled with this internally.
Zoe Morgan took a deep breath, forcing herself to remain calm. She looked at Yvonne Morgan, her eyes filled with unconcealed pity. "What would you like to eat, Yvonne?"
"I’m fine with anything." Yvonne squeezed out a brave smile. "You and Brother can choose. I’m not picky. I can eat anything."
Michelle couldn’t resist another sideways glance at the next table.
’What in the world is the relationship at that table? Why is the atmosphere so weird? And that girl sounds so two-faced, I really don’t like listening to her.’
Yvonne suddenly stood up and mumbled, "I’m going to the restroom."
"I’ll go with you, dear." Zoe Morgan quickly closed the menu and followed her.
Vincent watched them leave, his dark brows tightly knitted.
’They seem very opposed to seeing Renee.’
’Yvonne’s position is a bit awkward, which I can understand, but why is Aunt Zoe acting like this too?’
But Vincent didn’t dwell on it, because there was something more important at hand.
He turned his head to the three girls at the next table and spoke gently, "Summer, aren’t you going to introduce me?"
’Summer?’
Michelle blinked, looking at him in surprise. "Did I hear that right? You’re calling her Summer?"
"You heard right." Vincent wore a refined smile.
Michelle looked at Sylvia Brooks again, her tone curious. "Summer, you two know each other?"
As she said it, a memory suddenly flashed through her mind—ex-boyfriend!
This man was Sylvia Brooks’s ex-boyfriend. She had run into him at the club last time.
’Wait a minute... isn’t Sylvia Brooks’s ex-boyfriend also Renee’s biological brother?’
’Then the two women who just went to the restroom... No wonder!’
Michelle suddenly understood everything.
No wonder the atmosphere was so strange, and they wanted to move the moment she and Renee sat down!
So that’s how it was!
Thinking of this, a hint of disdain entered Michelle’s eyes as she looked at Vincent.
Seeing that look, Sylvia Brooks knew Michelle had remembered.
She glanced sideways at Vincent, her tone flat. "There’s nothing to introduce. Neither of my friends wants to know you. Just pretend we’re strangers and eat your meal. There was no need to wait for your family to leave just to say hello to me."
Vincent: "..."
The last time he had seen Sylvia Brooks so prickly was when they broke up.
He opened his mouth, then tactfully said, "Sorry."

Yvonne closed the stall door, and her expression instantly darkened.
She clenched her fists, furious.
’Why won’t Renee just die?’
’Why does she have to haunt my life like a ghost?’
Zoe Morgan stood outside the stall, her heart filled with deep worry and sympathy.
After a moment, Yvonne opened the door and walked out. Seeing her, she asked in surprise, "Aunt Zoe, what are you doing here?"
"Yvonne." Zoe Morgan saw that her eyes were red, a clear sign she had just been crying. "It must be hard for you."
Yvonne shook her head. "It’s not. I have you, Aunt Zoe."
Hearing her say that, Zoe Morgan was instantly pleased. "Silly Yvonne."
The aunt and niece returned to their table hand in hand.
Vincent looked at the two with an unreadable expression. "I’ve already ordered. Take a look."
Zoe Morgan and Yvonne Morgan had no appetite. They glanced at the menu and said nothing.
Renee remained unaffected by the three from the Morgan family. She enjoyed her meal, relaxed and at ease, discussing the particulars of adopting a kitten.
Zoe Morgan and Yvonne Morgan picked at their food unhappily. Vincent ate most of the dishes on the table.
"Vincent, are you done eating?" Zoe Morgan was getting restless. "I’m a little tired. I want to go home and rest."
Vincent gave her an impassive glance and continued to slowly cut his steak.
After a while, he finally put down his knife and fork and said flatly, "Alright, let’s go."
"Yvonne, why don’t you come back with Aunt Zoe tonight?" As they were leaving, Zoe Morgan looked at Yvonne with concern, only to see her shake her head in refusal.
"No, Aunt Zoe," Yvonne explained in a low voice. "I’ll go back with Brother. I want to go home and see Mom."
’I have to stay with the Morgan family.’
Zoe Morgan’s gaze darkened, but she nodded. "Alright."
She watched as Yvonne got into the back seat of Vincent’s car.
As the black car drove through the night, Yvonne turned her head to look at the man resting beside her with his eyes closed. She spoke hesitantly, "Brother, why didn’t you say hello to Renee tonight?"
’Is it because you don’t want to acknowledge her? Or is it...?’
Vincent’s eyelids twitched. He turned his head to meet her probing gaze.
Yvonne quickly blinked, putting on a curious expression.
"Yvonne." Vincent’s lips barely moved, his voice calm. "Do you want me to say hello to her?"
Yvonne lowered her gaze and said softly, "After all, she’s your real sister, and I’m just an imposter..."
