The Villain's Story

Chapter 983: Abyssal Tour(2).

Chapter 983: Abyssal Tour(2).

Alan felt as if he had been smacked in the head. A noticeable red bump appeared as Valus educated him.

You ascended to a Dragon whilst on Planet Earth. Your planet of Origin will always stay Planet Earth, even if it is destroyed. The home planet of the race of Frost Dragons is Lanekia, but the home planet of the special individual known as Alan Peccator is Earth. Do I need to remind you that your not actually a full dragon? Much less an Ice Dragon? Furthermore, you are completely on the side of Earth in this war. You want the humans to win, your willing to do whatever it takes for them to win, which is why your considered to be part of Earth.

Alan grumbled in protest at the smack, but reluctantly sighed.

"So what about my ties to House Chatan?"

House Chatan is at the top of the Abyss, above all the royalty there. However, you do not ally yourself with House Chatan at all, not yet at least. You don’t know of it’s ways, it’s creed, it’s tradition and history. You see House Chatan as simply a force to revive to fulfill your promises. Therefore, you are currently not considered part of it.

Unlike Sabrina Wellington, who had been well-educated by the knowledge left behind by Almada as well as her two students about House Almada, you are in the dark about House Chatan.

"That’s more of a Suleras issue, though, isn’t it? Wasn’t he supposed to fill me on any of this?"

An angered growl resounded in his mind, as Valus continued.

Indeed, that blubbering buffoon has been running from his duties for too long. It was his responsibility to educate you, and he insists on hiding like the failed head of house he is.

"..."

Alan didn’t say anything, partially out of fear. He could feel his connection to both Valus and Suleras increase, and he promptly cut it off, letting the two dragons duke it out in whatever way they pleased, as long as they didn’t include him into it.

Cutting off the connection, he turned to Sabrina through the Astral Bond, and asked.

"How are you?"

[Fine, just injured. Got caught in one of those swarms of demonic beasts, and the sheer number of them was staggering. It was difficult to pass through, especially considering the... disadvantages of the Abyss.]

Alan nodded, thinking of the several reasons why the Abyss was a living hell. Any spell related to healing would simply lose all their functions. Even buffs would lose their power, while the power of curses soared.

Even Alan’s limitless regeneration would prove... limited in the Abyss. His bloodline of the Phoenix would be severely restricted. None of this was by the design of the Abyssal Conscience, or even the Creator himself.

It was a side-effect to keeping the Primordial Dragon of Chaos, Tiamat, sealed. Although only few knew of that fact. And although Alan’s regeneration factor belonged to another Primordial.

He wasn’t even close to that realm, the specks of power he had would be completely overpowered by Tiamat’s influence, adding to that, she was still alive, imprisoned in possibly the deepest layer of the Abyss, while the Phoenix as dead.

One of the reasons Alan now feared the abyss wasn’t limited to his relation with Aranus and the Abyssal Conscience, but the fact that it was completely plausible for his regeneration to stop working at all in the Abyss.

No amount of healing worked, none at all. This was why potions were a luxury item in the Abyss. However, he did know one other thing.

"But as a Vampire, shouldn’t you have natural healing even in the Abyss?"

Vampires, born from the Abyss, could activate their natural healing to a certain extent, provided they consumed blood.

[It’s not worth it, no need to waste my blood packs on minor wounds like these.]

"Why not drink the blood of demonic beasts? I understand that the taste is bad, but it’s better than nothing, isn’t it?"

A scoff resounded through the bond.

[Darling, the very first drop of blood I ever consumed, the one that made me evolve into a Royal Vampire belonged to none other than Valus, The Supreme Dragon of Darkness. The quality of my first blood was unlike any other.

Second of all... it was you.]

She paused for a second, continuing.

[I only consumed a drop of the blood of Valus, but yours? I filled my stomach with it, drank as much as I could with your willing cooperation, and you let me drink it many times after too. Don’t I have a few packs of your blood with me still? The quality of your blood is amazing, one of a kind! It repulses me to even try anything else, especially the dirty blood of swarm demons.

It’s disgusting beyond belief. I’m a high-born girl, that drunk the blood of two dragons! I have standards, you know! Hah.]

She burst into strange laughter at the end of that, finishing with.

[Nothing compares to your blood! Simple as that!]

For a while, Alan remained silent, his cheeks reddened slightly as he asked to confirm.

"My blood is the best?"

Sabrina, sensing his emotions on the other side, chuckled before confirming it.

[The best of the best, darling.]

The word ’darling’ was spoken in a very special, coy tone. And Alan stood there, stupefied. A warm feeling erupted in the cold body of an ice dragon, and his face turned red. A smug look appeared as his pride swelled up.

He felt really, really happy about that. It wasn’t strange to him, surprisingly, as his body, heart, mind, and soul accepted that it should be the case. Of course, his blood would be the best!

Of course it would be! It was only just!

[Oh, is that making you blush? Hehe.]

"Yes, very much."

Sabrina chuckled a little more at his direct answer, and continued to explain about her stories of travelling the abyss,
