The Villain's Story

Chapter 982: Abyssal Tour.

Chapter 982: Abyssal Tour.

"The Abyss?"

Though he had asked that question, Alan Peccator was still out of it. It was more his instinct that was doing the talking. His eyes were as glazed as before, and his mind was still processing the statement.

"The Abyss?"

His body repeated the question once more, but the mind was still far behind. His control of mana had plummeted, and it ravaged within his body until his mind recovered. His body was much the same, the only difference being his aura was still being heavily suppressed, the body had lost it’s color, and was twitching in many places.

"..."

[Yes, Darling, I’m in the abyss! I must say, quite an... interesting place.]

Sabrina mused through the Astral bond, and then it clicked in place. Alan’s eyes focused once more, his body regained its strength and the energies within his body were brought under control. And then, it all erupted like a volcano.

"YOU ARE WHERE?!"

[The Abyss.]

A calm tide met the raging volcano, enjoying the outburst. Sabrina was dying of laughter on the other side, even if it increased the severity of her wounds.

"WHY?! HOW?!"

[I’m on a mission, hehe, and I snuck in!]

"HOW?!"

She didn’t answer for a while, quickly downing a potion on the other side as she gathered her thoughts.

[Remember the assault on Terra Damnum? I snuck in then, using the chaos, hah, ironic, ahem, like I was saying, using the chaos from the assault to sneak towards the portal, and when it was destabilizing, I entered, getting thrown into a random place in the Abyssal layer.]

Alan paused, his nature as an ice dragon bringing his emotions to a halt as he... was surprised?

"You stepped into a destabilizing portal? One connected to the abyss? The chances of you getting ripped apart before even getting to the other side were immense, and what about if you did actually get in? Anywhere in the damn layer?"

[Yes.]

"You could have been dropped into one of the damn cities! Besieged on all sides, the worst case scenario was you going into one of the danger zones or the heart of the layer, where that damn Martial Demon is!"

[I took care of the first problem... as for the second... Yay? I guess I am lucky!]

"..."

He was left speechless, baffled by Sabrina’s luck. The Abyssal layers varied in sizes, and the Abyssal Layer Earth was connected too was the size of Asian continent and some more, in other words, not very big.

Much of it was taken over by the Martial Star, with only the danger zones being left alone. Sabrina’s luck was baffling for her to be dropped in a secluded location in a heavily populated realm. The fact that she even agreed to this was ludicrous!

What exactly was she doing there?

[Gathering information, the big boss of the association sent me here.]

It was as if she read his mind. Alan cursed inwardly as Harrison’s stoic image popped up in his head.

’Of course it’s him...’

"Why? How are the rules not broken? What information are you even getting there? Whatever it is, it’s stupid!"

Contrary to his expectations, her tone of voice had changed entirely, turning more sour.

[My family is demonic now, Alan, nothing I can do to stop it. I have to do something to raise our position after this accursed war ends. Although Harrison should be aware of this, but I’m playing both sides, or at the very least, trying too.

I support humanity in winning this conflict, but if we lose, I have to think about my family. You have the Supreme Dragons behind you, but nobody is behind the Wellingtons. Vampires are a species respected in the abyss, and completely absent on Earth and the Abyssal layer 555, well, before me, that was.

I have to think of my family, as the next head, I have to prioritize them before anyone else. And although I know your willing to help, I just... have to do this?]

Her voice cracked at the end, garnering Alan’s suspicion and concern. He couldn’t quite accurately guess her emotions through the Astral bond, confusing him.

[Besides, the Abyss is the home of the vampires, with the relation to House Almada that I have now, it was only a matter of time until I had to come here and learn, what better way than now? I can gather intelligence to support humanity, and even if they lose, I can still survive.]

"How did you not break the rules? I thought it was banned for us to interact in any way before the war begins."

The response was quick, too quick, almost.

[Surprisingly, Harrison had me registered as a member of the organization of humans within the Abyss, tasked with gathering information. The six months before the war are just for the two forces to get rid of outside forces still within their territory. Your currently doing that... and I suspected I was exempt from this part of the rules, but as it turns out...

I’m a neutral party. I’m considered a Vampire, a Royal Vampire, and since the Martial Star doesn’t have any relations with Vampires as of yet, along with the fact that apparently I now hail from Planet Almada, where I evolved... I’m able to be exempt? It’s strange, and I can’t put a finger on it.]

Confused, Alan asked Valus for guidance, sensing that Sabrina wanted the same thing. With a sigh, the supreme beings words descended on his mind, his tone laced with irritation.

As she said, it’s a loophole. The individual known as Almada, or rather, Sabrina Wellington is High-Nobility of the Abyss, as well as High-Nobility of the Planet Earth. She belongs to both sides, and because she is genuinely fine with whichever side wins, she is considered neutral, and it’s considered rude to deny access to a travelling vampire. Furthermore, Sabrina Wellington belonged to Earth, now, she is the Head of one of the Vampire Houses, a position of importance in the Abyss.

Her planet of Origin has changed to Planet Almada of the Vampiric Houses. Her race, along with her state of mind, allow the rules to disregard her as a member of any side. Though, if she does swear loyalty to any demon or human, thus adding to their forces before the war begins, she shall be burned to a crisp in an instant. Warn her of this.

Alan nodded, as he confirmed Sabrina’s thoughts and gave her Valus’s warning, and then, it struck him.

"Wait, so I can go to? Aren’t I like, the highest royalty of the Abyss?"
