Chapter 1783 A Crippled Body

Chapter 1783: A Crippled Body Chapter 1783: A Crippled Body Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation There were so many of them that they covered the entire river.  Her presence was terrifying!  She was the most exceptional woman in the history of the human race, the empress of her generation!  She stood on the river’s surface, as cold and unyielding as ever.

“Scram!” she commanded.

“Colette, are you trying to kill me?” The green-robed man clenched his fists, a flicker of admiration in his eyes.

Unfortunately, the empress responded indifferently, “A crippled body!”  She understood the connection between Braydon Neal and the green-robed man.  At the end of his first life, Braydon’s body had been severed, leaving only his soul to carry on with his memories and consciousness.  His body was left behind, a shell without any awareness.

Yet, his first life was so formidable that even after thousands of years of silence, a trace of consciousness eventually formed in his body.  This was the origin of the green-robed man.

In many people’s eyes, he was just a useless body, neglected and dismissed.  He boasted about being split from Braydon, but essentially, the severed body only represented Braydon’s first life.  This was the deepest pain and source of shame for the green-robed man.

Braydon’s eyes burned with killing intent.

“Kill him.

I have no need for a crippled body to assist me” “A useless body that is disconnected from the achievements of countless generations.

It’s worthless to keep, but too much of a pity to abandon.

Is it so hateful?” In the River of Time, a mysterious figure appeared.  Anyone who dared to show up now was certainly no ordinary person!

The true body of the Heavenly Lord murmured, “Another crippled body?” The mysterious man was also crippled?  Braydon didn’t care.  He embraced Heather and stepped onto the river, an ancient aura manifesting in his body.  It was the awakening of his ancient soul!

The cold hand resting on his shoulder helped calm the anger in his heart.  The ancient soul fell silent as a heavenly voice spoke in his ear.

“The ancient soul has been revived.

Your body can’t handle it!” the Great Empress said.

She took action!  In the river, her white figure shone like a multicolored light, dazzling and captivating.  Each strand of light represented a tribulation body.  The tribulation bodies merged into one, achieving success through the original body.  The beautiful woman, slender and graceful, raised her arms and declared, “Die!” Bang!

The entire River of Time, stretching for ten thousand miles, roiled with waves that spanned the same distance.  Countless small worlds were destroyed as the turbulent river was swept away by a terrifying force.  The aura leaked out, reaching the outside world where hundreds of competition zones felt its overwhelming presence.

Chadwick Neal and the other chiefs could sense the aura even from afar.  An ancestor said, his voice hoarse and trembling with a mix of joy and sorrow.

“The Great Empress is still alive.

God bless our race!” “The Great Empress is still alive.

She’s back!” “Look at the starry sky phenomenon.

Is that the Great Empress?” “Heavens, the Great Empress is stepping onto the River of Time.

Who is she facing?” “There are so many people in the River of Time.

That’s the Heavenly Lord, and…

Ancestor, the person in his arms is…

the Ruins Lord!” – The river of time was revealed to the outside world, exposing everyone instantly.  Braydon stood in the river with his wife in his arms, his entire being filled with killing intent.  The green-robed man’s crippled body had actually injured Heather.  Braydon could not allow him to live.

Braydon was particularly focused on the crippled body because it reminded him of the past—a memorial to his first life.  The first life was the origin of all lives, but it was also the most insignificant.  His ambitions had been grand.  Today, he would make his final stand!

It was a sentient but soulless entity.  So what if he killed it?  Braydon wasn’t concerned about the power of a crippled body.

The Great Empress raised her jade-like hand, revealing her unmatched beauty.  Throughout the ages, the name of the Great Empress had been remembered by all the races.  The Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art was considered one of the best techniques among all others.  Even though Braydon had cultivated for tens of thousands of years, few of his achievements could compare to the Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art.

Braydon’s significance in this life was unquestionable.  What was truly remarkable was that he had chosen the Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art as his primary cultivation method at the end of his myriad lifetimes.  This choice was a testament to the empress’s legacy.  Despite the passage of time, the Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art remained one of the finest techniques in the universe.

The Dharma Nation and the Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art—perhaps only the future would reveal how formidable Braydon would become when he transcended.

Meanwhile, the people outside observed the phenomenon.  The Great Empress used her immense strength to severely injure the crippled body.  Though he later fled, the Great Empress did not pursue him.

Braydon said nothing.  He held Heather in his arms and turned to leave.  The Great Empress stood gently on the river’s surface, her clear eyes following Braydon’s retreating form.  A hint of sadness flashed in her eyes as she finally spoke, “As the foundation of all generations, you are the root.

Cultivating the Dharma Nation to great success is the path you have chosen in this life.” “In my previous life, I owe you for your protection.

I will return the favor in the future.” Braydon himself didn’t fully believe it.  Could such a long-standing karmic debt really be repaid with just a single sentence?  The Great Empress had protected him through countless generations.  How could he ever repay such a debt?  Sadie Dudley was truly the Grand Supreme, and Braydon owed more than a lifetime of gratitude.  How could he ever return it?

The achievements of thousands of generations had been realized in this world, yet no one had ever considered that the karma of ten thousand generations had gathered on Braydon.

The weight of centuries of karma pressed heavily on Braydon’s shoulders.  How could he ever repay it?

Could he really cut through all that karma with the sword in his hand?

Braydon left the small world and returned to Zone 1.  A snowstorm was raging.  Heather, unconscious and severely injured from her encounter with the crippled body, was in a bad state.  Thankfully, the protection of the cosmos heavenly path was keeping her safe.

During her year of unconsciousness, Braydon had kept vigil, living in seclusion in a secluded corner of an icy canyon.  He had built a wooden house and transformed the surrounding environment.  The small courtyard was now alive with the chirping of birds and the fragrance of flowers, while heavy snow fell outside.

It wasn’t until noon that the woman lying quietly in the bedroom of the wooden house slowly woke up.  Her clear eyes regained their focus.  Even while unconscious, she had sensed a familiar presence beside her.

“You’re awake?” a gentle voice said.

“Get up and eat!” “Luke, is the food ready?” Braydon called out to the door.

“Yes!” Luke responded, holding a large iron pot of meat porridge.

“I’d like something light,” Heather said weakly.

“We have light options too!” Luke said, reaching into his storage ring to pull out a variety of precious fruits, all at least ten thousand years old.

Heather slowly got up.  Her injuries had healed, but her body still needed time to fully recover.

“I didn’t tell Trevon and Judith about you,” Braydon said, worried that the children might become anxious.

Heather nodded.

“It’s better not to tell Trevon.

He’s very sensitive and might worry too much.

I’m fine.” Braydon washed the fruits while chatting with his wife about their children over the years.
