Chapter 1148: Going To Her Teahouse
Chapter 1148: Chapter 1148: Going To Her Teahouse
"Thank you so much, Young Lady!" The head chef thanked her from the bottom of his heart, deeply moved.
He truly had not expected this young customer to be so remarkably thoughtful, providing them with precious medical pills to ease their burden through the long night.
"In that case, we will take our leave for now. I expect my order to be fully ready by tomorrow morning." Bai Xifeng said, pushing her chair back and standing up.
"You can rest ninety-nine per cent assured, Young Lady! You will receive your entire order piping hot tomorrow morning!" The manager guaranteed her, puffing his chest out with supreme confidence.
"Alright. See you tomorrow." Bai Xifeng smiled.
With the deal finalised, Bai Xifeng and her group made their way out of the private room, heading toward the counter where Ning Shoukai stepped up to settle the bill for their massive lunch.
Ning Shoukai was practically biting his lip until it bled as he handed over his money pouch. Even though the manager had generously thrown in a twenty per cent discount on their afternoon lunch as goodwill, the final total was still so staggering it made his heart bleed.
He shot a tearful glance at Bai Xifeng, who looked completely carefree and unbothered by the fortune he had just shelled out. Right then and there, Ning Shoukai made a solemn, sacred vow to his inner soul.
From this exact day forward, he would never, under any circumstances, offer to cover the bill whenever he dined out with Bai Xifeng ever again. Otherwise, his wallet would be bled completely dry just like today.
Meanwhile, back in the private room, the manager and head chef remained standing in place long after Bai Xifeng and her companions had departed. They kept staring at their new storage runes, still half-convinced they were dreaming.
Finally, the head chef broke the stunned silence.
"I think we need to shut down the entire restaurant immediately for the rest of the day. Otherwise, there is zero chance we will finish that young lady’s massive order by tomorrow morning." The head chef stated grimly.
"Agreed! Let’s lock the front doors right now, since we already stopped taking in new customers earlier anyway." The manager concurred instantly.
They had already turned away walk-in patrons to focus on her lunch earlier, so closing the establishment down completely would allow the entire culinary team to channel a hundred per cent of their energy into her order.
"We also need to send runners out to buy up massive quantities of raw ingredients across the city." The head chef added, mapping out the prep work.
"Right! I will personally dispatch our fastest staff to sweep the markets for supplies. You go straight to the pantry and make a list of everything we are lacking." The manager instructed smoothly.
The head chef gave a sharp nod and practically sprinted back toward the kitchen.
Without wasting another single second, both men threw themselves into high gear. They had a literal mountain of gourmet food to prepare, and dawn was approaching fast.
"Our food supply is officially secured!" Bai Xifeng announced with deep satisfaction, dusting off her hands.
"So, where are you planning to head off to after this?" Xie Yanlin asked Bai Xifeng, looking at her with genuine curiosity.
"Hmm... I am actually thinking about heading over to my teahouse." Bai Xifeng stated casually.
"Wait... hold on a second. You own a teahouse?!" Ning Shoukai blurted out, staring at her in sheer, unadulterated disbelief.
"Got a problem with that?" Bai Xifeng raised a single eyebrow, her gaze shifting toward him with a cool, dangerous glint.
The instant Ning Shoukai felt the ice-cold pressure radiating from her sharp eyes, he immediately clamped his mouth shut. He shook his head frantically, hastily pretending that he hadn’t intended to say a single word in the first place.
’I mean, come on!’ He screamed internally. Managing a traditional teahouse was universally considered one of the most elegant, serene businesses in existence! The atmosphere was supposed to be quiet and refined, catered specifically to high-society patrons who appreciated peace, poetry, and subtle sophistication. It was the absolute opposite of Bai Xifeng’s wild, shameless, rogue-like attitude!
Even so, Ning Shoukai couldn’t deny that he was immensely intrigued to see what kind of teahouse Bai Xifeng had set up. He secretly wondered whether the establishment would turn out to be just as wildly unconventional as its mistress, or if she had somehow magically crafted a place that perfectly catered to the luxurious tastes of the Capital’s wealthy and influential elite.
After all, Bai Xifeng had already shattered his expectations more times than he could count. Perhaps her teahouse would deliver another jaw-dropping surprise.
When their party finally arrived outside La Chaguan Teahouse, Ning Shoukai was genuinely taken aback by the stunningly elegant establishment standing before them.
The exterior was exquisitely decorated, radiating an unmistakable air of high-class refinement without appearing overly gaudy or tacky. Even before stepping across the threshold, anyone could tell that immense thought, taste, and capital had gone into designing the space. From the artistic interior woodwork to the tasteful arrangement of the fine furniture, and even the immaculate, polished attire of the servers. Every single detail was meticulously crafted. The entire atmosphere felt nothing short of flawless.
Ning Shoukai could not help but look around in open admiration.
Who in their right mind would have ever guessed that a fiery, unpredictable menace like Bai Xifeng, of all people, was the true owner behind such a peaceful, high-end teahouse?
"Welcome, esteemed guests, to our La Chaguan Teahouse." A female staff member greeted them with a gentle, graceful smile the moment they stepped through the entrance.
