The Elven Cultivator

Chapter 245 - 225: Legacy of the Ancient Era?

Chapter 245: Chapter 225: Legacy of the Ancient Era?

A profound silence enveloped the entire basin.

Everyone stared blankly at the slowly dissipating, ochre-hued giant hand and the Legendary Golem that had been smashed into the ground. It was as if something was caught in their throats, rendering them speechless.

The Elves were no exception.

Strictly speaking, this was the first time Anton had truly gone all out in front of his fellow Elves since he’d advanced to the Golden Core realm.

The past incidents of killing the Dragon Race magistrate and sweeping through the Radiant Flame Legion had been mere skirmishes in comparison.

As for killing the Radiant Ash Dragon Isaac, no one else had witnessed it firsthand.

Therefore, while the Elves knew their Clan Leader was powerful, they never had a clear concept of just how powerful he was.

It was only now, after personally witnessing a Legendary-Tier Golem get knocked to the ground in less than ten minutes, that they finally realized just how terrifying their Clan Leader’s strength truly was.

"Teacher is so incredible."

Mia murmured, her eyes filled with adoration.

The surrounding disciples of Taichu City nodded in deep agreement, their gazes toward Anton filled with reverence and aspiration.

Every time they saw Anton take action, their faith in the path of the Dao grew stronger.

They too yearned to one day become as powerful as their Teacher.

Romance said nothing, only gazing at that tall, slender figure, her own eyes shimmering with a similar, brilliant light.

If even the Elves reacted this way, it went without saying for the subterranean creatures.

The Rock Beast Ghost leader and Gustus were aghast, the terror in their eyes nearly spilling out.

They had thought the Golem was terrifying enough, but they never expected this Elf Race Leader to be even more frightening.

Such a fearsome Golem couldn’t even fight back against him; it was on the receiving end of a beating from start to finish.

’To think that Nine Nether City was hiding such a terrifying expert!’

For a moment, Gustus and the Rock Beast Ghost leader felt a chill run down their spines, as if a basin of ice water had been poured over their heads, the coldness spreading down their backbones to their very limbs.

Anton, however, paid no mind to the reactions around him, his gaze fixed directly on the Golem on the ground.

Beneath the crimson light, the incandescent white glow at the core of the Golem’s chest could be seen flaring up.

The light spread out in all directions along the cracks on its body’s surface. Wherever it passed, the shattered metal pieces were drawn together by an unseen force, reassembling and healing.

One after another, the cracks vanished, and the dented shell smoothed out inch by inch.

In just a few breaths, the Golem’s body was restored to its original state, without a single scratch remaining.

Anton raised an eyebrow slightly.

’Self-repair?’

He quickly understood the mechanism behind it.

’This Golem most likely has some kind of core embedded inside it that can rapidly repair damage.’

’As long as it has a sufficient energy supply, it can restore its damaged body in an extremely short amount of time.’

’There are only two ways to deal with a Golem that possesses self-repair capabilities.’

’Either destroy it completely with a furious assault that far outpaces its repair speed, tearing it to pieces before it can heal...’

’...or deplete its energy reserves, leaving it unable to sustain its self-repair.’

Neither option posed much difficulty for Anton.

But it was rare to encounter a Legendary Golem that even he didn’t recognize; it would be a shame to simply destroy it.

He wanted to take it back intact for research. Perhaps he could gain some inspiration from it to further refine the crafting techniques for Daoist Soldiers.

As his thoughts raced, Anton quickly made a decision.

SPLASH!

A curtain of profound, dark water silently unfurled around him, then surged forward, instantly swallowing the Golem that had just freed itself from the ground.

The Beiming True Water was unlike ordinary water.

It was as deep and dark as an abyss, as stagnant as ink. Falling into it, the Golem was like a creature plunged into a ten-thousand-year-old ice cavern; even its struggles became sluggish.

Slashes from its greatsword and bursts from its force fields all vanished into the Water Curtain like clay oxen into the sea. They failed to stir even the slightest wave, only creating a few ripples on the dark surface that vanished in an instant.

Anton channeled his Magical Power, and the Water Curtain abruptly constricted. Its profound, dark color shifted from light to heavy ink, like a giant hand slowly closing its fist, gripping the Golem tightly in its palm.

The incandescent white core in the Golem’s chest flickered wildly. Each pulse was more rapid than the last, yet its light grew dimmer each time.

Its energy, like water from a burst dam, was being furiously stripped away and devoured by the Beiming True Water.

As time passed, the Golem’s struggles grew weaker and its movements more sluggish.

When the last trace of its energy was drained, the Golem finally fell completely still. Like a soulless stone statue, it floated silently in the dark water.

Anton raised his hand and flicked his sleeve.

A cloud of dim, yellow vapor instantly billowed out from the sleeve, enveloping the Golem. With a sweep and a contraction, the Golem’s massive body vanished without a trace.

Nearby, Laine’s eyes lit up. "The Daluo Celestial Sleeve!"

Furlo, Mia, Lucius, and the other disciples of Taichu City also watched this scene with burning gazes, their hearts filled with yearning.

’That’s a Divine Technique!’

’And a rare spatial one at that!’

"When I form my Golden Core, I’m going to cultivate the Daluo Celestial Sleeve too," Mia muttered. "It can store things and be used in combat. It’s so practical."

Furlo smiled, pressing her lips together. "In that case, after you perfect your Foundation Establishment, you’ll have to cultivate the Lesser Containment Sleeve first."

The Lesser Containment Sleeve was a near-divine art created as a simplified version of the Daluo Celestial Sleeve.

Its effects are largely the same, but its power is far inferior to the Daluo Celestial Sleeve. It’s considered an introductory version of "Universe in the Sleeve."

The other Elves couldn’t discern the profundity of Anton’s move, but they were still filled with heartfelt astonishment.
