Chapter 1167: Chapter 11: Best Friends Forever
"Ah, this... Yes, I worked over the winter break and made some money, so I thought I’d buy a computer to make things easier. My classmate is playing this game and says it’s really fun, so I should download it and play together. I haven’t started playing yet." Zhang Mengfei glanced at her computer desktop, "The screenshots my classmate showed me were pretty, so I said I’d download it and take a look."
"But this game..." Huang Shiyuan hesitated but decided to voice her concern, "This game really drains money, some players in it have a twisted view on spending."
"Really expensive?" Zhang Mengfei laughed, "No worries, I don’t have money for it to drain anyway. Don’t worry, I’m just going in to enjoy the scenery. My classmate said there’s relaxing gameplay, so I thought I could unwind after study sessions."
"Alright then, just manage it yourself." Huang Shiyuan replied after hearing Zhang Mengfei say that.
While the three of them were having a meal at Taotie Building, Han Ting couldn’t help but curiously ask Huang Shiyuan, "What is that game? Why did you say it drains money so badly?"
"That game, I played it before. It’s really a money pit, the outfits in there are really expensive. The cheapest ones are 300, then there are ones for 520, 666, 888, and 1314, even more expensive ones for 3000 and 5000. The problem is that the atmosphere is bad, with people competing against each other. I’m afraid Zhang Mengfei will get sucked in later." Huang Shiyuan frowned, "My cousin pulled me into it to play together. I only played for a month before saying goodbye, it’s too expensive, can’t afford it."
"This is indeed quite pricey. For ordinary students, this spending is really high, no, it should be said even for general working folks it’s considered a relatively high expense, right?" Han Ting furrowed her brow, "If Zhang Mengfei is really just dabbling and not spending money that’s fine, but once she starts spending..."
"Forget it, let’s not worry about this anymore. I’ve made myself clear, she’s an adult, she should have a sense of proportion, right? Do you guys still want to eat braised chicken legs, I’ll go get some more."
"Eat, get me three more." Tianmiao handed her meal card to Huang Shiyuan.
"I want another bowl of tomato soup." Han Ting looked at Huang Shiyuan, "Use Tianmiao’s card to buy it, hehe. Tonight we’ll go out for dinner, I’m treating."
"Alright." Huang Shiyuan went to buy the food with the meal card.
While Tianmiao was busy with the braised ribs on her tray, Han Ting asked, "Tianmiao, do you have any plans for the summer? Should we three take a trip together?"
"Where do you want to go?" Tianmiao didn’t lift her head, continuing her battle with the ribs on her tray.
"Shall we wait for Huang Shiyuan to come back and discuss?" Han Ting got up, "I’m going to buy three bubble teas, do you still want red bean pudding bubble tea?"
"Sure." Tianmiao replied, "Is it really okay for you two to keep eating like me? I think you look a bit rounder compared to the start of the semester?"
Han Ting’s body stiffened, she slowly turned back to Tianmiao, "You’ve killed the conversation. Don’t you know the saying that food is the only thing that can’t be neglected?"
"Alright, I’ll pretend I didn’t say anything, go buy!" Tianmiao couldn’t help but laugh.
After the two returned with their food, Han Ting asked Huang Shiyuan, "Any plans for the summer? Should we travel together?"
"Yes, yes, where do you guys want to go? I want to go to the beach, with the blue sky, white clouds, the ocean, swimming, enjoying the sea breeze at night, eating seafood." Huang Shiyuan replied.
"Ah, I also want to go to the beach. If we could have a barbecue on the beach at night, it would be even better." Han Ting said happily.
