Chapter 1143: Chapter 20: Where Is Justice? Justice Is Here!
"By the standards of your family’s conduct, you’re nothing but a waste now." Kong Hou flicked a finger lightly, sending the Young Master of the Lin Family flying. He directly smashed through the wall of the study, finally collapsing in the courtyard, spitting blood.
Lin Ying’er looked at the Young Master of the Lin Family collapsed in the courtyard and said coldly, "You have never understood the true essence of cultivation. You’re solely focused on cultivation while forgetting your true heart, even obliterating your humanity. With someone like you leading the family, it will only hasten its demise. From today, I will lead the Lin family down the path of true cultivation." As she spoke the last words, Lin Ying’er was resolute and spirited.
"Very good." Kong Hou smiled, her voice suddenly rising, clearly reaching the ears of everyone present, "I hope all of you will think carefully about why you cultivate and what the ultimate goal of cultivation is. Losing your true heart by cultivating for the sake of cultivation means you’ll never become a true strong one."
Many present felt enlightened, while some remained in contemplation.
Thus, the Lin family’s issue was resolved.
Lin Ying’er became the new Young Master of the Lin family. The Family Head of the Lin family suddenly seemed ten years older; it was only then he realized he had been entirely wrong. He would spend the rest of his life making up for his mistakes.
The Elder who initially suggested selling women was stripped of his cultivation by Lin Ying’er and expelled from the Lin family. For those who supported the sales, Lin Ying’er had their cultivation sealed and then sold them as ’servants’ to other cultivation families. It wasn’t a real sale; contracts were signed, and the duration of the sale was set according to the severity of their actions, allowing them to redeem themselves after the time was up.
Using their own methods against them, letting them taste the suffering of being sold and tormented. As for how they were treated after being sold, that would depend on their own luck—whether they lost their dignity or only suffered corporal punishment. Lin Ying’er no longer bothered with that.
As for the original Young Master of the Lin Family, his cultivation was completely abolished, and he became utterly useless, expelled from the Lin family.
"Someone suggested selling you to a powerful figure in exchange for resources, making use of waste. But I refused. Selling those people wasn’t the goal, merely a means of punishment. I won’t sell you for resources because I detest your ways, and I won’t live in a way I detest." Lin Ying’er said coldly, looking at the Young Master of the Lin Family, who stared at her with hatred, "You still don’t understand the true meaning of cultivation even now. Get lost, and I hope that in your lifetime, you can understand. I hope you can regain your humanity, though that seems unlikely."
After saying that, Lin Ying’er ordered the doors to be closed.
After resolving the matters, Kong Hou flew into the sky, preparing to return to the Heavenly Dao Sect.
Then, she saw Tianmiao smiling in the clouds.
"Master!" Kong Hou greeted joyfully.
"You did very well." Tianmiao smiled as he patted Kong Hou’s head. Kong Hou’s current cultivation wasn’t mostly due to her guidance but because of Kong Hou’s excellent innate talent and pure heart. Although Kong Hou didn’t like the weak humans she spoke of, she never did anything to harm them. On the contrary, she even reached out to help. She understood the true meaning of ’With great power comes great responsibility’ better than many humans.
"Really?" Hearing Tianmiao’s praise, Kong Hou squinted her eyes with joy. Being praised by her master, happy!
"Really, our little Kong Hou is slowly growing up." Tianmiao said with comfort.
