Chapter 1142: Chapter 19: Where Is Justice? Justice Is Here!
"Even if you’re from the Heavenly Dao Sect, you can’t interfere with my family’s affairs, can you?" The Lin Family’s Young Master fully understood that the person before him was targeting him, and he would not be manipulated.
"Shut up!" The Lin Family Head sternly rebuked the Young Master. The Young Master did not understand the influence this Dragon Clan woman had in the Cultivation World, but the Family Head did. Behind this Dragon Clan woman was the Heavenly Dao, the Heavenly Dao! Once untouchable, now they could see it, touch it. And this Kong Hou seemed to favor his daughter. Their Lin Family might truly soar to the heavens. But the leader to guide them to the heavens had to change.
"Lin Ying’er, I will now take you as my Registered Disciple. I will also guide you in your cultivation," Kong Hou said leisurely, "In the future, no one can bully or humiliate you."
Lin Ying’er couldn’t believe her ears. She turned around and knelt with a thud, then kowtowed three times heavily, shouting excitedly, "Greetings, Master!"
"That’s enough, enough, get up. You are making my head ache with all the kowtowing," Kong Hou instinctively touched his own head. It was his first time taking a disciple, even if just a Registered Disciple, he would still have to teach her well. If he couldn’t, he’d consult Dong Xiao. If all else fails, there’s the Master. Thinking of the Master’s way of teaching disciples, Kong Hou secretly planned to train this disciple quickly so he could delegate many things to her, making things much easier for himself.
The Lin Family Head trembled with excitement. The Right Protector of the Heavenly Dao Sect had taken his daughter as a disciple! Their Lin Family would truly soar to the heavens! Who would dare look down on their Lin Family after the Protector’s words? Those people wouldn’t even be able to curry favor fast enough. The Lin Family would reach a height they had never achieved before!
"Alright, now I will state my conditions." Kong Hou looked at the Lin Family Head, smiling, "You all mentioned, for the revitalization of the family, some sacrifice is necessary. My condition for taking Lin Ying’er as a disciple is that all those in the Lin Family who supported selling daughters must abolish their cultivation."
Kong Hou’s words left the room in shock.
The Lin Family Head’s face turned pale; although he knew Kong Hou had ill intentions and things wouldn’t be too smooth, he didn’t expect such harsh conditions.
"Impossible!" The Young Master roared in anger, "What for? I’m the Young Master of the Lin Family!"
"What’s the racket? It’s not like you were told to die." Kong Hou dug his ear impatiently, "What for? For all the resources you enjoyed. What was the family nurturing you for? To revitalize the family. Now there is someone better than you at doing this, what use are you? You’ve enjoyed so many resources, what’s wrong with sacrificing for the family revitalization now? Isn’t this the Lin Family’s usual practice? Isn’t it the practice you’ve always adhered to? Why doesn’t it apply to you? You are unwilling to sacrifice for the family now?"
"I’m giving you a chance to make amends for your mistakes. First, change the Young Master immediately." Kong Hou looked at the Lin Family Head.
"Yes, yes. The Young Master should be Lin Ying’er," nodded the Lin Family Head swiftly.
"All the sisters sold must be brought back! Even if the Lin Family becomes penniless," Lin Ying’er looked at her father and said sternly.
"Father, what are you saying? I am the Young Master of the Lin Family; I am your son!" The Lin Family Young Master looked anxiously at the Family Head’s agreement and shouted loudly.
Kong Hou’s face turned cold; such foolish and wicked humans are truly exasperating!
