"Which Dungeon is it? A multiplayer one?"
"Seeing as I came to you, it has to be a multiplayer one."
Master Veridian flipped it over, and Faye Yardley could now clearly see that it was Dungeon 9, and a multiplayer one at that.
Looking closely at the cover, she could even make out a clown’s smirking face.
She had been thinking about doing something to improve her strength anyway.
On top of that, the Clown Dungeons didn’t take up much time. You just had to complete the basic tasks as quickly as possible to clear them.
So, Faye Yardley smiled and nodded, accepting Master Veridian’s invitation. "Alright. Master, who else will be joining us?"
"Just Finn and Gavin. But Gavin might not be free. If he really can’t make it, it’ll just be the three of us."
"Okay. I’ll get ready. Just send me a party invitation when you’re about to leave."
"Then hurry up and get ready. I’ve never been to this Dungeon before, so I need to prepare a little more myself."
Faye Yardley let out a small "ah," then said, "Dungeon 5 is a solo Dungeon, and it’s also a Clown’s Amusement Park. I think this one, Number 9, probably has a connection similar to the one between 1 and 3. It’s the same theme, just one is solo and the other is multiplayer."
She went on to explain everything she knew about the amusement park, then asked, "After hearing all that, do you still want to go, Master?"
"Of course! Why wouldn’t I? It sounds fascinating. The other visitors are probably physical manifestations of spiritual power, is that it?"
"Yes."
"So, something like an astral projection. I absolutely have to go see that for myself."
Faye Yardley said with a grin, "In that case, I’ll see you in a bit."
After hanging up, she turned her head and was met with Lucy White’s big, sparkling eyes, which were filled to the brim with longing.
She patted the little girl’s head. "I can’t take you with me. Even if I wanted to, it’s not possible."
The big eyes instantly misted over, and Faye Yardley could only sigh in resignation. She really couldn’t bring her along.
For multiplayer Dungeons, Kingston could be brought along by merging into her shadow, but how was she supposed to bring Lucy White?
’Use up a party slot for her?’
’But the Clown Dungeon doesn’t seem like the type that’s all about fighting...’
"Wait, don’t be sad. I’ll ask the Master. He doesn’t have a full team anyway. If he doesn’t mind, I’ll bring you and Kingston along." The moment Faye Yardley finished speaking, Cole Kensington shot over from a nearby thatched hut.
Sure enough, Master Veridian didn’t mind Faye Yardley bringing two more people in the slightest. He even chuckled and said he could prepare welcome gifts for the two "kids."
Since Kingston and Lucy White didn’t have systems, Master Veridian laughed and said he could give the card to Faye Yardley and let her be the party leader.
True to his word, he sent over the Invitation Card for Dungeon 9 right after they hung up.
Faye Yardley accepted the card and said to the pair, "Alright, you two can come along now. Once we’re there, you have to stick close to me, okay? No running off, and absolutely no getting so caught up in a fight that you leave the party."
"Yes, ma’am!"
"Don’t worry, Sister."

So entering as a party required one more attraction than going in solo.
Thanks to her Clown Seal, Faye Yardley could grant one person immunity from a single death in the Clown’s Amusement Park. After some thought, she decided to give this opportunity to Master Veridian.
Standing in front of the ticket booth, Master Veridian suddenly felt something new inside his body. He looked at Faye Yardley in surprise. "Yardley, what did you just do to me?"
Faye Yardley made a surprised sound. "Oh? You could feel that, Master? I just gave you an extra layer of protection, to keep you from getting too carried away in there. Hang on, I’ll be right back with the tickets."
Lucy White only needed a child’s ticket for 10 copper coins. With the other four, the total cost was 210 copper coins.
Zephyr Sterling took his ticket, looking a little embarrassed. "I thought the Invitation Card would be enough. I didn’t realize we’d still have to buy entrance tickets here. We’re lucky to have you with us."
More importantly, neither he nor his master had any money on them. ’It’s a good thing we partnered with Faye Yardley,’ he thought. ’Otherwise, we would’ve been stuck at the very first step.’
Faye Yardley said, "Mr. Zephyr Sterling, you’re being too modest. You’ve all helped me a great deal. In fact, I probably should have paid for those talismans I got from you."
Master Veridian grew impatient. "Enough with the pleasantries. Let’s hurry up and go in."
The moment they stepped through the amusement park gates, they were surrounded by bustling crowds and cheerful screams.
"Let’s skip the bumper cars. How about the five of us ride the carousel together?" Faye Yardley suggested after a moment’s thought.
Master Veridian, however, shook his head. "Let’s go on that mini-train you were talking about first. Here, I’ll give each of you an Immobilization Talisman. It can hold you in place for a short while. You said there wasn’t any other real danger, right?"
Cole Kensington and Lucy White both looked at Faye Yardley with hopeful eyes. Since there was a tool to help, Faye didn’t object. ’If I could handle it before, I can handle it this time.’
The group of five lined up and boarded the same mini-train, taking their seats one by one.
After using the Immobilization Talisman, Faye Yardley felt her body grow heavier, and she had the strange sensation of being watched.
’But since the rules don’t forbid it, it must be allowed. So what if I’m being watched?’
The mini-train started up. It was the same as before at first, but after it shot forward and began to spin at high speed, all sorts of obstacles inexplicably appeared from the clouds—small rocks, twigs, hail, and even lightning.
It was then that Faye Yardley realized the Immobilization Talisman was restricting their mobility.
Before, there was nothing but the high-speed spinning, but now all these things had appeared out of nowhere, raising the difficulty.
’So the difficulty doesn’t decrease just because you find a way to deal with it?’
’That clown is so devious.’
The Master was in the seat just ahead of Faye Yardley. Every so often, she saw him flick out other talismans to block the attacks that came from out of nowhere.
Once neutralized, the obstacles seemed like nothing more than special effects added to the ride.
What surprised Faye Yardley even more was that Bella hadn’t used an Immobilization Talisman at all. She swung a long whip, wrapping it around the body of the train car. Then, holding onto the whip, she launched herself forward to fight other players, zipping from one spot to the next.
Amidst the various BANGS, CRACKS, and screams, Bella’s clear, giggling laughter could be heard.
’I guess this amusement park really is more fun for a kid.’
As for Master Veridian, he was just a big kid, and he was having the time of his life as well.
As for Cole Kensington, who was sitting behind her, Faye Yardley glanced back several times but couldn’t see any sign of him. She had no idea where he’d disappeared to.
