Zhong Yue said seriously, “They don’t, but I do. That’s why we have to guarantee that we will always be victorious to keep our men safe and sound!”

Imperial Emperor Fu Ya fell into silence and Imperial Emperor Duo Yin stopped playing his lute, “There is no such thing as an undefeated army. All it takes is just one defeat.”

On a battlefield, there were already endless similar scenarios, if you were kind to the enemies, then you’d be treating yourself cruelty, therefore, as much as a battle aroused the sympathy and pity of soldiers, they had no choice but to end the lives of their opponents.

While there were casualties among the nine towns and twelve fortresses, the losses were not as great as the Heaven Suppression Fortress.

As one of the divisions that took part in the toughest part of the war, Yinkang Navy suffered great damage as well. However, with Yin Fanxuan commanding the navy and thanks to the geographical factor, the Yinkang Clan managed to preserve their main power.

After this major defeat, the Huangting Clan is most likely going to bring out Monarch Huang Ting’s spirit!

Zhong Yue looked towards the enemy camps and thought, With the addition of the Heavens Divine Dao Bell… We mustn’t let them summon Monarch Huang Ting’s spirit!

In the Huangting Clan’s main camp, a massive altar was set up, and loud prayers echoed; after this defeat, Huangting Clan suffered heavy losses and Ting Daoji decided to summon Monarch Huang Ting’s spirit to turn the table.

The Heavens Divine Dao Bell hung high in the air, protecting the prayers and it rang softly.

At the front of the prayers was the Heavenly River Navy Fleet, they were there to prevent any sneak attacks from the Heaven Suppression Fortress.

Unlike the others, Lou Zhengshi had countless capable generals serving under his navy; while Huangting Clan lost a great deal of talents and men, the Heavenly River Navy Fleet’s main force was still there, making them a tough nut to crack.

Suddenly, the Heaven Suppression Fortress blew the warhorns, Xian Tian Royal Guards and Yinkang Navy marched at the front as the vanguard, the Fusang Divine Tree activated and they were charging right towards the altar.

At the sides, the army from Shield Wall Fortress and Heaven Riding Fortress were flanking.

There were also the nine towns and twelve strongholds, each standing on the beak, talons, wings of the golden crow’s formation and clashed with the Heavenly River Navy Fleet!

Lou Zhengshi poured everything he had into the battle, but no matter how hard he attacked, Jin Hexi, who was commanding the armies had formed a massive scale golden crow formation, bestowing the soldiers immense power and with the charging of Shield Wall Fortress and Heaven Riding Fortress, the Heavenly River Navy Fleet was forced back quickly.

The Huangting Clan was occupied with summoning the monarch’s spirit, Heavens Divine Dao Bell was halted by the Fusang Divine Tree and only with them fighting, there was no way the Heavenly River Navy Fleet could hold the enemies off!

Lou Zhengshi took a quick glance towards the back, where the Huangting Clan’s power of worship had pierced through the void, but there was just not enough time to summon Monarch Huang Ting before the Heavenly River Navy Fleet was defeated.

He sighed, ordered the soldiers to retreat and shouted, “Brother Daoji, let’s retreat back to the Huangting Sacred Grounds and we will see what we can salvage!”

Ting Daoji looked at the broken defensive line set up by the Heavenly River Navy Fleet and knowing that there was no way to escape from being forced to retreat again, he quickly ordered the soldiers to retreat.

The battle lasted for half a year. Throughout the journey, the expertly trained Heavenly River Navy Fleet retreated, but the Huangting Clan who lacked training suffered massive losses under Zhong Yue’s attack; they had more than half of their overall power!

After pursuing their target back into the Huangting Clan’s sacred grounds, Zhong Yue and the others saw a light pillar ascend right into the skies as a Panhu activated the nine divine lunars; it was Pan Ji. He had returned from the State of Heavenly River with the Panhu Clan’s monarch weapon.

Meanwhile, deep in the sacred grounds where the monarch tomb located, earth-shattering monarch presence gushed out as if Monarch Huang Ting had returned to life as the countless Huangting members prayed at the monarch tomb.

Without hesitation, Zhong Yue had everyone retreat back into the fortress; defeating the Huangting Clan and fighting all the way into the Huangting Sacred Grounds were two different matters. Even with the Shield Wall Fortress and Heaven Riding Fortress’s help, there was no way they could annihilate a monarch race.

Throughout the way back, they discovered a path leading all the way from the sacred grounds to the Heaven Suppression Fortress. Eerily, this path was made of only bodies, the bodies of Huangting Clan and Heavenly River Navy Fleet’s soldiers.

Seeing this scene, Imperial Emperor Fu Ya immediately bade farewell to Zhong Yue, “The Heaven Court had activated the monarch weapons, involved the sovereign and monarch races and even used the monarch corpse and spirit. If His Majesty had no other ways of dealing with this, the Heaven Suppression Fortress, Shield Wall Fortress and Heaven Riding Fortress will only come to a tragic end. Long Zhi smiled, “This is the sixth sister among us, Jiao Teng.”

Zhong Yue looked towards the female celestial being and he immediately had goosebumps.

This sixth sister of Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s seven brothers and sisters was an Imperial Emperor level insect queen!

Jiao Teng smiled, “Mister Yi, you and I had once met, but back then, my face was hidden behind the divine light. Now, I am revealing my true face to you.”

Zhong Yue recollected his thoughts, though Jiao Teng’s appearance was incredibly beautiful and alluring, everything about her was unreal, as if she were merely an insect queen disguised with a lady’s appearance, what was hidden beneath the disguise was left a mystery.

“His Majesty knows how intense and serious the war is so he sent us.”

Long Zhi smiled, “We’ve brought you four Deity Emperors, each being the Innate War Spirit Body, Big Dipper Spirit Body, Seven Slaughter Spirit Body, and Innate Plague Spirit Body. Hush, where are your manners?”

After being scolded, the four Deity Emperors immediately bowed and greeted Zhong Yue.

As for Zhong Yue, his heart pounded quickly as he knew that Imperial Emperor Xian Tian was starting to reveal his trump cards!

These four Deity Emperors each represented war, death, massacre and plague, what they could do in the war was equivalent to the power of four mighty Imperial Emperors, if not, even stronger!

They are our second brother, Tai Feng, fourth brother, Yi Tianjun and fifth sister, Nu Fang while our third sister, which is Long Zhi and I came to help you. To be honest, the Heaven Court takes you seriously and they had Ghost Master Gui Youmin here to deal with you personally.”

“Gui Youmin?”

Zhong Yue’s heart tightened as this man was a strong foe that almost stepped into the monarch level!

If Heavenly Monarch Di Ming sent him to deal with Zhong Yue, it showed just how serious Heavenly Monarch Di Ming viewed Zhong Yue as a threat!

“Gui Youmin will be arriving with the South Heaven Gate’s three Heavenly King’s army. They are not to be underestimated.”

After exchanging a glance, both Long Zhi and Jiao Teng giggled, “We sisters are sent here specifically for this. The shocked Zhong Yue took in a long deep breath as these two ferocious ladies had actually destroyed monarch races!

“How many men did you bring?” asked Zhong Yue again after calming himself down.

Long Zhi smiled, “More than you expected, but of course, they are all in her stomach.”

Jiao Teng femininely rolled her eyes and she giggled, “There there, stop making fun of me. There are billions of gods in my stomach, but there are also quite a lot of my people in Mister Yi’s Star Torrent Fortress.”

By that she meant the insect race’s insect gods and mother insect bred by Fu Li and the other wild humans from the Star Torrent Fortress; as an insect queen, Jiao Teng was able to gain full control over these insects!

“Mister Yi, I would not touch the bodies of your men but can the enemies’ bodies be gifted to me as food?” asked Jiao Teng.

Numbness crept into Zhong Yue as he took in another cold breath, “Senior martial sister, die fighting gloriously in a battlefield is a great honor to every soldier. They have all died an honorable death so why humiliate their bodies?”

“Even if you buried their bodies, they will just return back to the heaven and earth, might as well just feed them to my children, which is also another reincarnation if you look at it.”

Jiao Teng carefreely said, “Mister Yi, unnecessary kindness could kill you.”

Zhong Yue frowned greatly but Jiao Teng started walking away already, “Burying them is a waste of resources and a waste of energy. After my children grow stronger, they could help you slay your enemies instead of being buried like dead bodies. Mister Yi, how about that? You can thank me later.”

Hearing this, Zhong Yue’s frown decreased slightly and he said nothing.

Long Zhi’s voice suddenly rang in his mind, “Mister Yi, master wants me to send you a message.”

Zhong Yue’s heart thumped and he immediately asked, “What message?”

“Your cover is blown. King Zi Guang had acquired vital intel on your secrets and it is only a matter of time until he reports this to Imperial Emperor Xian Tian!”

Long Zhi blinked her eyes and said, “Master told me to tell you to get yourself a backup plan before it’s too late.”
