Chapter 1401: Chapter 1428: Sudden Awakening
"Good boy..."
Jiang Tian picked him up and gave him a kiss, then directly went downstairs to eat.
Aunt Zhang had already prepared breakfast and made some baby food for Zhouzhou. Jiang Tian took a bite herself and then fed a bite to Zhouzhou, who was drooling.
Aunt Zhang watched the mother and son enjoying the meal happily together, thinking how nice it would be if Mr. Lu were here too. A family of three is truly loving.
Unfortunately, Mr. Lu hasn’t returned for three months.
"Aunt Zhang, Aunt Jiang, thank you for taking care of Zhouzhou. I’m going to the supermarket first."
Jiang Tian’s voice interrupted Aunt Zhang’s thoughts. She handed her son to Aunt Jiang and was ready to go out.
Aunt Zhang asked, "Miss Jiang, are you going to buy ingredients to make soup for Mr. Lu again?
It’s such a hassle to go every day, why not just call and order?"
Jiang Tian’s lips curved into a slight, sweet smile and said,
"No need, the ingredients should be selected fresh on the day itself. People are too picky these days; if you order, they’ll definitely pick bad ones. I come from a farming background, I’m good at choosing ingredients, it’s not hard at all."
Of course, the main thing is, doing anything for someone you love is a joy, and Jiang Tian enjoys this process very much.
Aunt Zhang sighed in her heart, this girl is really silly, her husband doesn’t even come home, yet she’s pouring her heart and soul into this, making soup every day with such effort, not even daring to deliver it directly.
This is truly heart-wrenching, and she couldn’t help but advise,
"Miss Jiang, let me speak frankly, I don’t think Mr. Lu is worth all this effort from you. Look, he’s not good to you at all.
He only pretends when the lady is around. As soon as she leaves, he shows his true colors, ignoring both you and the young master."
Jiang Tian’s face fell slightly; of course, she knew that Lu Xingshen disliked her, but what could she do when she couldn’t stop loving him?
Actually, Jiang Tian herself couldn’t understand why, when on the day she gave birth, Lu Xingshen was still fine, so gentle to her, yet after having the child, he changed and seemed even more resentful of her than before?
He didn’t show up the entire postpartum month. If it weren’t for Liu Qian’s intervention, Lu Xingshen wouldn’t have attended Zhouzhou’s 100-day banquet three months ago, barely pretending to be affectionate to fool Jiang Tian’s parents.
To please Lu Xingshen, Jiang Tian even actively proposed to postpone their wedding until she graduated from college.
After giving birth to her son, Liu Qian helped smooth things over so Jiang Tian could return to college to finish her incomplete studies.
But Lu Xingshen was not moved by Jiang Tian’s efforts, thinking she was just pretending. When Liu Qian was present, he was better to Jiang Tian, but once she left, he became cold and harsh, using the most venomous words to hurt and neglect her.
Jiang Tian often hid away to cry from being bullied, but she didn’t hold grudges, and soon after, she would be silly again with a smile, acting like, ’If you’re mad, take it out on me, I won’t hold it against you.’
Until three months ago, when Liu Qian left, Lu Xingshen stopped paying attention to Jiang Tian, using the excuse of being busy with work and continued staying in the jurisdiction estate.
Jiang Tian wanted to see him but didn’t dare, so she could only make soup for him every day to deliver, hoping he would take care of himself.
Jiang Tian knows Lu Xingshen dislikes her, but she loves him, really loves him, she wants to have a good life with him, so she tries to be good to him.
The one who falls in love first always suffers a loss, and usually ends up badly.
But now Jiang Tian is filled with brave passion, hoping to melt Lu Xingshen’s icy demeanor.
Only when she becomes completely disheartened will she finally realize the truth.
