Chapter 826 - 820: Vajra Unbreakable Immovable Ming King

Otherwise, if the land were filled with Daoist thoughts of cultivating for longevity and immortality and allowed Confucianism to build academies everywhere to enlighten people, where would there be faith in the Buddha?
Even if the faith persisted, how genuine would it be?
When the power of faith is no longer pure, the golden bodies of the Buddha Bodhisattvas and Vajra Arhats would certainly diminish in power!
Therefore, the Western Regions do not allow interference from Daoism and Confucianism. Even the sects on the fringes have, over time, leaned towards Buddhist practices, at the very least practicing Buddhism alongside other methods, ensuring that these sects do not negatively impact Buddhism’s dominance in the Western Regions.
Qin Feng wandered through the Western Regions, covering dozens of miles with each step, passing countless cities, encountering numerous devotees entering and leaving temples and pagodas. He felt the incomparably pure faith from this land. It made him feel sentimental, yet he had little interest in traveling further.
So he quickened his pace, intending to reach the Great Light Temple as soon as possible to exchange treasures useful for the White Dragon with the high monks and then leave this place.
In comparison, he still preferred the other territories more.

Generally, as long as one can persist over a dozen lifetimes, even if one doesn’t attain the Vajra Arhat position, one can still become a revered high monk and great virtue, and there’s a chance to be guided to a holy land of Buddhism.
Of course, if after multiple reincarnations one fails to cultivate anything significant and their Buddhist heart wavers, rendering them unable to persist, their Buddhist heart will collapse, and they will become ordinary; in severe cases, they might fall into madness, turned frenzied, killing indiscriminately to vent their crazed wicked thoughts!
As for those evil monks who have indeed cultivated something noteworthy, they were originally exceptionally intelligent individuals. However, when they encounter situations conflicting with the principles they have always adhered to, and when reconciliation is impossible, they become bewildered!
If they can awaken to clarity, it will end there. But if they fail to do so in time, falling deeper into the abyss, increasingly doubting the correctness of the Buddhist scriptures they have faith in, they might ponder a set of reasoning unique to themselves.
Then, they will oppose the essence of Buddhism they initially learned, eventually defecting from the Buddhist sect, insisting on their own inner Buddhist principles.
There exist such beings who indeed attain the Buddha position, becoming evil Buddhas wreaking havoc, almost causing the entire Buddhist sect to be thoroughly overrun!
From then on, Buddhism has zero tolerance towards evil monks who enter the evil path, and if encountered, they are all slain without exception.
In the past, attempts were made to convert them with supreme Dharma, for such beings were all exceptionally intelligent, deeply rooted in Buddhist affinity and foundation. Once they return to the righteous Buddhist path and achieve success, they would far exceed ordinary Buddhas.
Unfortunately, with several bouts of chaos, the upper echelons of Buddhism increased their vigilance towards these individuals, and ordinary Buddhist disciples were not their match, leading to significant losses. Therefore, except for a few Buddha Bodhisattvas and others with profound Buddhist law, most within Buddhism were no longer as tolerant of evil monks as before!
This was precisely why Qin Feng, upon witnessing the evil monks tempting followers, directly struck them down, and even within Buddhism, no one could say he did wrong!
However, after slaying a group of evil monks, he unexpectedly seized several Buddhist inheritances, which took Qin Feng by surprise.

After all, once they have cultivated Buddhist techniques, how could they remain indifferent when Buddhism faces trouble?

Moreover, the White Dragon’s Light Holy Flame is exceedingly pure, fiercely unparalleled, possessing the capability to cleanse the world, containing the power to burn away all impurities.
If these two flames are merged, not only would the White Dragon gain an additional cultivation technique, but it would also enhance the power of its flame to another level, enabling infinite variations!
