Flora Bloom pulled Lex Cross down by the neck, intending to give him a thank-you kiss on the cheek. But after the kiss, she found he had cupped her head in his hands and frozen, motionless, right beside her ear.
She thought he was about to do something outrageous again, but nothing happened besides the sound of his perfectly normal breathing next to her ear.
"Hey! Why are you staring at my ear like that? Are you some kind of pervert?"
Lex Cross was frowning, his gaze fixed on a pair of unusually tiny bite marks behind Flora Bloom’s ear.
He couldn’t tell what kind of animal or insect had left the mark. The bite was exceptionally small—two tiny holes, even finer than the pinpricks from the acupuncture needles Gu Renbin often used, sitting side-by-side behind Flora Bloom’s ear.
His long, slender fingers traced the two small holes behind her ear, and the ticklish sensation gave Flora Bloom a case of goosebumps.
"Hey, what are you doing! It’s broad daylight, and we’re guests in someone else’s house. You better behave yourself!"
Lex Cross’s furrowed brow smoothed out. So that Flora Bloom wouldn’t notice anything, he mischievously blew a puff of air behind her ear.

Having awakened a third elemental superpower, Flora Bloom now discovered the drawback of having multiple abilities.
Before, when she only had the Water Ability, any Crystal Cores she absorbed would completely supply the deep blue Water Crystal Stone. As a result, of her three abilities, her Water Ability was now the highest.
She had only absorbed the Fire Element into her sea of consciousness vortex when her Water Ability was at Level 3, so her Fire Element ability was still only at Middle Level, Level 3.
Then there was the Gold Crystal Stone she had just absorbed. In terms of volume, the Gold Crystal Stone was the smallest, and its corresponding level was also the lowest.
When she first absorbed it, it was only at low-level, Level 1. By relying on Zombie Crystal Cores and her remaining Energy Baryte, Flora Bloom’s abilities were now as follows: her Water Ability was still High-level, Level 1; her Fire Element ability was Middle Level, Level 3; and her Gold Ability was only at low-level, Level 3.

Instead, it began by being absorbed by her highest-level ability, Water.
Inside the vortex in Flora Bloom’s sea of consciousness, a deep blue Crystal Stone corresponded to her Water Ability, a red Crystal Stone to her Fire Element ability, and a gold Crystal Stone to her Gold Ability.
For example, if she were to hold a Crystal Core or an Energy Gemstone right now to absorb energy and raise her Superpower Levels, the Gold Crystal Stone in her sea of consciousness vortex wouldn’t be able to absorb any of it.
Only after the largest Crystal Stone, the Water one, became saturated with energy would the second-largest, the Fire one, begin to absorb it. The smallest, the Gold Crystal Stone, would be the very last.
Flora Bloom’s Water Ability had now reached High-level. To break through High-level, she just needed to fill up the energy required for High-level, Level 3, and then find the next Crystal Stone fragment from her internal space. Then, she could break through High-level and advance to the Nebula Level.
However, Flora Bloom currently had no clue where to find the next Crystal Stone. So, she decided to first focus on raising all three of her abilities to High-level.
The Gold Element energy overflowing from the small room made Flora Bloom intensely curious. She called out cautiously, "Mr. Goldsmith, can we come in?"
Winston Goldsmith, dripping with sweat, shouted back in a booming voice, "Come on in!"
