Chapter 2822: Their Master In The Painting

Chapter 2822: Chapter 2822: Their Master In The Painting

Curious whether the newcomer was taken as well, she subconsciously stepped forward to approach the two imposing figures.

"Excuse me... Hi! I was just wondering... are you single?" The woman asked, looking directly at Qin Xia.

"No!" Qin Xia answered without a moment’s hesitation.

Disappointment flushed across the woman’s face upon hearing their blunt refusal. Realising that both of these extraordinary men were already taken, she quietly shrank back, lamenting her lost chance.

"Let’s go up." Long Hui finally broke the silent standoff, gesturing for Qin Xia to follow him to the penthouse.

When Yu Qi heard the front door open, she rushed to the foyer, only to find Qin Xia and Long Hui standing there with icy expressions on their faces. It was obvious these two had been silently bickering again on the way up.

"You two... seriously?" Yu Qi sighed, looking back and forth between them.

"Humph!" Long Hui turned his head away coldly.

Qin Xia simply rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Alright, that’s enough. Let’s eat first. We have plenty of important matters to discuss later." Yu Qi said, taking control of the situation.

Both men immediately dropped their hostile stances and followed Yu Qi’s instructions without another word.

This was Qin Xia’s first time setting foot inside the penthouse.

"Are you two genuinely living together?" Qin Xia asked, his brows knitting slightly.

"Mhm... It is much more convenient this way, especially since I need to pop into Sere so frequently." Yu Qi explained casually.

"Even so, he does not need to be living under the same roof as you." Qin Xia countered coldly.

"Then what? Should she be living with you instead?" Long Hui barked back instantly.

"Senior Brother Xia, I actually prefer this arrangement." Yu Qi interjected smoothly, nipping the argument in the bud.

Qin Xia let out a heavy sigh. His little junior sister had truly grown up and made her own choices.

"Fine... Fine... I would not press the matter any further." Qin Xia conceded with a wave of his hand.

"Look, Senior Brother Xia, I cooked a huge feast for you today." Yu Qi said cheerfully, gesturing toward the spread laid out on the dining table.

"You really went all out for me today. Thank you." Qin Xia remarked, his expression softening as he looked over the dishes.

"Well, it has been a long time since I last cooked a proper meal for you. I might have gone a little overboard." Yu Qi grinned playfully.

Once they all took their seats, Yu Qi announced, "Let me serve you both. Let’s eat!"

They began enjoying the lavish meal, and Qin Xia could not help but offer high praise for Yu Qi’s culinary skills. Her cooking had somehow improved even further. As he ate, his eyes subtly drifted toward Long Hui, who was quietly and attentively peeling fresh shrimp to place on Yu Qi’s plate.

This brat is impossibly lucky to have a woman like my junior sister, Qin Xia thought to himself. Yet, seeing how genuinely caring and devoted Long Hui was toward Yu Qi, Qin Xia inwardly acknowledged that she was indeed being cherished and living a good life.

After eating until they were completely full, Yu Qi suggested that Qin Xia rest in the living room while she cleaned up the table. Long Hui naturally stayed behind in the kitchen, helping her clear the dishes.

Qin Xia strolled over to the spacious living room. Prominently displayed on the main wall was a beautifully framed photograph of Yu Qi and Long Hui standing together, along with pictures taken alongside their respective families. He could not help but smile faintly at her happiness.

His gaze then shifted toward a series of detailed portraits hanging nearby. They were not mere paintings. They were vivid depictions of their former master and their martial brothers from their past life. Yu Qi must have painted every single detail purely from her memories, as the portraits looked strikingly lifelike. It was clear that Yu Qi had never forgotten her previous incarnation as Qin Yue.

"Senior Brother Xia, what do you think of the portraits? Are my memories of everyone still accurate?" Yu Qi’s voice sounded softly from behind him.

"Mhm... You remembered every detail perfectly." Qin Xia nodded, a trace of nostalgia in his voice.

"I am really glad to hear you say that." Yu Qi smiled gently.

The two of them stood side by side, quietly admiring the portraits for a moment.

"Senior Brother Xia, I am going to bring you inside Sere now. It will be much safer for us to talk in detail inside." Yu Qi stated.

"Alright." Qin Xia agreed with a nod.

Yu Qi stepped forward, taking hold of Long Hui’s hand with one side and Qin Xia’s hand with the other. In the next instant, the surroundings shifted, and they entered the vast expanse of Sere.

Aoi and Bo Ya gasped in surprise when they saw an unfamiliar figure appear beside their master. It was the very first time Yu Qi had consciously brought an outsider into her pocket space. Although another person had ended up inside Sere once before, that instance had happened entirely unconsciously, and that intruder certainly had not made it out alive.

"Don’t worry, you two. This is my Senior Brother." Yu Qi reassured the startled spirit beast and little boy.

Qin Xia swept his eyes across the lush landscape.

"It looks largely the same as before, though there are a few noticeable changes." Qin Xia commented softly. "I never imagined I would stand in this place again."

"Well, whenever you want to visit, just let me know, and I will bring you inside." Yu Qi offered warmly.
