Chapter 2780: Hidden Location
Chapter 2780: Chapter 2780: Hidden Location
Observing Rukh’s incredible velocity, Long Hui silently raised one hand.
A luminous, transparent dome instantly expanded around them, forming a seamless protective barrier. The shield completely isolated them from the violent air pressure, freezing high-altitude winds, and the deafening roar of their supersonic flight. Inside the sphere, the atmosphere remained tranquil and perfectly comfortable, as if they were lounging inside a quiet room rather than soaring thousands of meters above the earth.
Yu Qi smiled warmly, glancing at him. "As expected of Brother Hui."
Long Hui merely offered a faint, affectionate smile in return.
Before long, the endless blue expanse of the ocean came into view. Rukh left the mainland behind, gliding effortlessly high above the vast sea. Far below, white-capped waves crashed endlessly against one another, with only the occasional commercial cargo vessel dotting the deep blue horizon.
Roughly an hour later, Rukh gradually began to decelerate.
"We are here." Rukh’s booming voice echoed.
Yu Qi and Long Hui immediately peered down.
Sure enough, a solitary island materialised in the distance. From their high-altitude vantage point, the landmass looked no different from countless other deserted atolls scattered across the open ocean. Dense, untamed tropical forests blanketed almost the entire terrain, framed by steep, jagged cliffs along the coastline. At first glance, it appeared completely desolate and uninhabited.
Anyone lacking foreknowledge would undoubtedly dismiss it as an abandoned, undeveloped rock in the middle of nowhere.
However, Yu Qi narrowed her eyes into razor-thin slits.
"They have hidden it remarkably well." Yu Qi commented.
Long Hui nodded in grim agreement.
The island’s primary jetty had been cleverly constructed within a naturally concealed cove, sandwiched between two towering, sheer cliffs. From sea level, the rock formations completely obscured the facility from view. Even orbital reconnaissance satellites would struggle to pick it up unless an analyst was specifically scanning those exact coordinates. Any ordinary vessel sailing past would never suspect a fully operational deep-water dock was tucked inside.
Fortunately, Yu Qi and Long Hui were observing the layout from directly above, completely unhindered by terrain. With their enhanced vision, the elaborate camouflage was entirely useless. The hidden dock immediately came into sharp focus, revealing several high-speed patrol boats and medium transport ships quietly moored at the piers, while heavily armed private security personnel patrolled the perimeter in disciplined, rotating shifts.

"Let’s see what kind of secrets they’re hiding down there." Long Hui’s sharp, calculating gaze slowly swept across the rest of the island’s terrain, meticulously analysing every structure, every guard patrol route, and every potential hidden entrance.
Yu Qi nodded in agreement before turning her attention to Rukh.
"Rukh, descend onto that cliff over there." Yu Qi instructed, pointing toward one of the towering, jagged cliffs that overlooked the concealed cove.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Rukh folded his massive wings slightly and began a smooth descent. A few moments later, he landed completely silently on top of the massive cliff near the entrance to the hidden harbour. Despite his colossal size, his touchdown barely made a single sound. After climbing down from his broad back, Yu Qi turned to face him.
"Rukh, do you want to stay outside or return to the Sere?" Yu Qi asked. "We will still need you when it’s time to leave this island."
Rukh stretched his wings lazily before offering a response.
"I will stay outside." Rukh glanced toward the dense, untamed forest that blanketed most of the island’s interior. "I want to take a walk around and explore first."
"Oh... Sure. Just remember to return immediately the second I call for you." Yu Qi smiled warmly.
"Understood." Rukh gave a single, firm nod.
With another powerful sweep of his wings, he launched into the sky, disappearing gracefully toward the deeper, uninhabited sectors of the island.
Throughout the entire process, Yu Qi and Long Hui remained completely cloaked under Aoi’s Invisible Mode. After confirming that Rukh had safely departed, the two of them slowly made their way down the rocky terrain toward the hidden cove.
The closer they drew to the facility, the tighter the security measures became. Just as they had anticipated, the entrance to the cove was heavily fortified. Fully armed private mercenaries stood at fixed checkpoints while multiple patrol squads continuously swept the perimeter. High-definition surveillance cameras were positioned at every conceivable angle, leaving virtually zero blind spots for ordinary intruders. However, none of those high-tech security measures mattered against the absolute cheat that was Invisible Mode.
Yu Qi and Long Hui calmly strolled right past the main checkpoint without drawing even a fraction of suspicion. Not a single guard noticed their presence. The mercenaries continued casually chatting among themselves, entirely oblivious to the fact that two uninvited, highly dangerous intruders had already breached their perimeter.
The two slipped further into the compound, quietly observing their surroundings.
Several vessels were moored at the concealed jetty. Some were high-speed tactical patrol boats, while others were medium-sized cargo ships built for discreet, heavy-capacity logistics. While none of them was extraordinarily massive, they were more than sufficient to move high-value contraband, experimental subjects, and personnel between the mainland and the island without triggering maritime alarms.
Moving past the docks, Yu Qi and Long Hui arrived at a large, reinforced concrete facility situated just off the shoreline. The structure clearly served as the island’s central operational command centre.
Just as they approached the entrance, they spotted a group of men gathered outside the heavy doors.
